The service was awesome. I was so impressed with them. The two young men were very professional and really cleaned up everything. There were some things they did not take for good reasons. Everything they did was great!

I booked my appointment online and was able to get the date and the time I wanted. It was a very easy process and there were plenty of weekend appointments available.
The guys were a little late (which is fine because they called me well in advance to let me know). They arrived and were polite and professional. I showed them the area I wanted cleaned and they quoted me a price. I had purchased a coupon ($99 for $200 worth of junk removal from Angies List in December). The total price was $260 and since I had purchased the coupon, I owed an additional $60.
They removed my and quot;junkand quot; within 15 minutes and swept up the space when they were done.
Other than the price (which I thought was a bit high), I was very pleased with the service.
.My only advice to anyone wishing to use their service is to and quot;buy a couponand quot;

The type of weather in the days before the removal cause the whole sidewalk on the side of the house to be a sheet of ice as well as the hot tub being frozen to the ground! They had to try multiple creative strategies to get the job done including calling in a second team. I was holding my breath the whole time. Their team work was outstanding! Without the constant communication they could not have gotten the job done without injury to themselves. They also protected the house (gutters) and landscape and cleaned EVERYTHING up. A tough job on the best day but almost impossible on a very cold and icy day.

We were pleased from start to finish. Great customer service while scheduling the appointment. Called to confirm appt when they said they would. 2 men who came were very personable, professional and helpful. Came on time, took what we wanted and we in and out in less than 30 minutes. Would definitely use them again, but I would wait for a coupon - little pricey without it.

They called in advance and arrived on schedule. They were very agreeable and removed exactly what I asked them to take. They worked quickly and efficiently. They wore protective booties to walk over my carpeting. They removed items from wherever they were in the house. It went really well.

I purchased a Big Deal last December, and as we neared the expiration date I called GOT JUNK? on March 13, and we set up an appointment for Saturday, March 16. I was happy to have a weekend time for this.
I received a call at the appointed time, and the guys said they were available and could be at my house in 10 minutes. They were, and Ben and Eric did a great job of quickly hauling out the items (and making space in my basement) on 3/16. They were professional, lively, and very polite. This was a great experience from start to finish. And I'm very happy with the extra space in my basement! Thanks!

They kept me informed about when they would be there, (I had a time frame of 9-11) and they made that time line. There were two young men who were very polite, we went through the house to show them everything that I wanted disposed of, I then received an estimate. The final outcome was the higher end but they cleaned everything out that was agreed to inside and out. They were fast, courteous and efficient. I would use them again.

Efficient and reasonable price, with the coupon.
I had bought the $90 coupon. My primary goal was to dispose off the broken treadmill. Scheduling appointment was straight forward. The way they work is once onsite, they will give you a cost based on the amount of space the junk will take up in their truck. The day of the removal, it had been snowing. Two guys showed up in a truck. I walked around the house with them showing what I needed them to hawl away (mostly from the basement and the garage). They didn't have booties (remember, it had been snowing) but removed their shoes for each time they went down to the basement. They were very efficient and got everything hauled away promptly.

Service was provided the same day I called to inquire about setting up an appointment. The company assigned 2 men to the job of removing several items to be hauled away from the basement area. The men arrived within the designated time frame. They completed the work efficiently and very quickly. They were pleasant and professional.

TOTALLY BELOW AVERAGE: I had an Angie's List $99 coupon for $200 of junk removal. There seemed to be a sense by the team to try to take up as much space in the truck to counter balance the $200 discount (this is what 800 junk movers called my Angie's List coupon).
In my estimation this job should have been a $200 job .. period...and covered nearly entire by my Angie's List coupon.
Yet the job quickly swelled to costing me $403 total (5/8 truck load size for $383 + $20 TV disposal fees) / minus the value myAngie List coupon of $200 / and at the end of the job I had to sell out an $203 above and beyond the original $99 cost of the Angie's List coupon. Bottom line: I shelled out $302 bucks -- for a job in my estimate that should have cost $200 bucks or a little more. I would think an additional $30 to $50 bucks would seem reasonable -- NOT $203 more.
Folks do not get snookered in by the big blue imposing truck and the impression of efficiency -- FIND A REASONABLE LOCAL COMPANY TO HAUL YOUR MINOR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS. Perhaps 800-Junk is a reasonable vendor for and quot;big commercial jobsand quot;, but they are NOT as cost effective when it comes to a simple residential job.
This was my SECOND time (2010 and 2012) with 800-Junk and I will most likely NOT use this service again.
Finally, when I placed the appointment on the 800-number after I purchased my Angie's List coupon via email, I called to book a local appointment. I gave a run down of my goods and specifically informed the 800-Junk rep I had two TVs to be removed. He DID NOT inform me right then and there is also $10 per TV set environmental disposal fee. I found out about this charge in the very MIDDLE of the job. The one mover informing me as they were actually hauling my big TV out the door, and quot;Oh by the way, I did not tell you there is a $10 fee per setand quot;. Minimally, I should have been told about this TV disposal fee as they surveyed my job BEFORE I signed and authorized the work.
These guys hustle once the work begins. But I think their and quot;standing marching ordersand quot; from the local 800-Junk franchise owners/managers to purposely try to take up as much space as possible in the truck to jack up the final truck load size, i.e. the final cost. I would advise you that if you go with 800-Junk, station a second person on your side AT THE TRUCK as it is loaded so they the 800-Junk movers can be directed on the best way to load your junk on the truck as compactly as possible -- versus throwing and dumping in asprawling heap. They DO NOT care -- they want to cart as much of your cash out of your wallet as possible.
From my vantage point, as a slightly dissatisfied customer, a classic case of and quot;making a mountain over what could easily have been a much smalerl mole hilland quot;, i.e. a cheaper final tab.
For me there will NOT be a third time with 800-Junk. GETS QUOTES AND PATRONIZE YOUR LOCAL JUNK HAULERS, DON'T GET 800-JUNKED LIKE I WAS PUNKED.

I bought an Angie's list deal for $99 for $200 worth of hauling. They scheduled a pick up over the weekend before Christmas and showed when they said they would and hauled everything without me even having to be there. The total cost was appx $150 - very fair for the work. Would gladly use them again.

Got Junk was extremely quick, efficient and happy to do the work. They came in an measured up the size of the 'junk' and stated that it would be a specific space within their truck. They said that they could move it immediately and they did. The biggest task was getting the refrigerator up the stairs and they did so with ease. I was rather impressed with how quick they completed their work. Very efficient and cost effective.

These guys were great! They showed up on time, clean and professional looking. I was concerned it would take them a while to gather all these items from different places in our house and yard and we may have to pay extra for the additional time. But these guys were so quick they got it done so we didn't have to pay any extra. On top of the wonderful feeling of having all this old junk taken away, they even swept out the garage when they were done!
They were professional and extremely concientious. I would hire them again in a heartbeat for anything like this! Great service, great experience!

Excellent!!! It was so great. Three young men dressed in the company polos showed up at my door and each one introduced themselves to me. We had gathered all the items we wanted taken away in one area of the basement. Many were large, heavy items such as an old entertainment center, dressers, old matresses and many other things we had been accumulating. Within 15 minutes they had safely transported all the items upstairs and outside to load on their truck. They were so quiet and quick that I almost did not even know they were there. They definitely worked as a practiced team. There is no way that we could have ever gotten all those things up and out without a lot of sore and/or strained muscles. One of the great things is that when they get everything back to their shop, they divide everything up that can be donated to charitable organizations. I understood that they actually have contracts with organizations such as Goodwill. That way they take just the minimal amount of items to the dump. It makes one feel better doing something like this if you know some of your things are still usable. We all like to help others if we can and feel "Green" at the same time. Also, think of all the time it would take if you were to take all these things to so many places. Our impression of this company is that it is a wonderful tool for people who have things to dispose of but who just don't have the time, physical ability or motivation to do it themselves. Knowing that everything is not just going to be junked (as we originally thought) is a great plus and if more people understood that, I think it would surely profit the business.
