Appliance Service Unlimited was responsive in setting up an appointment, on time and professional.  The problems with my appliances were quickly diagnosed.  After a thorough explanation of the issues, I opted to make one repair and not the other.  I would definitely use them again.

It took 15 minutes for an on-time repairman to replace a broken pump and get my washing machine working again.  The repairman also knew a great deal about my model and offered sound practical advice on its use.  The trip charge, labor, and parts all came to $150, which was what a young man on the telephone quoted to me two days before.  I very much like Appliance Service Unlimited.

Requested service on Monday, the part was obtained by Tuesday and they called late Tuesday to schedule Wednesday appointment. Was instructed to call Wednesday morning to obtain 2-hour window. Serviceman arrived in middle of the window. Serviceman is also part-owner of this family-owned/staffed local business. He was efficient but friendly- didn't waste any time and clearly knew what he was doing. He cleaned up after himself before he left. The job was done totally to our satisfaction. Although I gave only B rating on the price, I'm sure it was comparable to other providers in the area - I just haven't gotten used to what such things cost! We have used this provider several times in the past few years and the level of service has been consistent from one time to the next. Definitely will continue to use this provider.

Our dishwasher had developed a "groaning" noise and wasn't getting the dishes clean. I hoped that during diagnosis and dis-assembly we might detect an easy fix, but from the start I suspected something serious like a main pump motor. Turned out to be the main wash motor and a suspicion also that the fill valve wasn't opening fully (which turned out to be accurate). With a trip charge and the first 10 minutes of labor already invested, it seemed like there was no other choice but to go ahead with the repair. A new replacement dishwasher can be purchased for approximately $400-800. But there are the hidden costs of having to shop and make the purchase, wait (with no working old appliance), arrange delivery and installation, and pay for haul-away of the old dishwasher. Getting the existing machine fixed on the spot was the choice I took and avoided the time-is-money hassle factors of replacing with new. Unfortunately, the cost of the main wash motor turned out to be rather high - $185 - and the fill valve also - $49.  Of course, plus labor. Since the repairman (Jerry) didn't have a fill valve in his truck, that required a return visit. Appliance Service Unlimited didn't charge for another trip charge, only the actual labor on the fill valve, but it required us being home on a 2nd day, which is always inconvient. I dinged the reivew down from "A" on responsiveness to a "B" because we had to wait for a 2nd visit to get everything repaired. I dinged the review down from "A" to "B" on price because the replacement parts are very expensive, nearly half the cost of an entirely new dishwasher. With the dishwasher laying open in pieces, awaiting replacement of faulty parts, there is no time to shop around for a better priced replacement part. I was pleased with the ability of Appliance Service Unlimited to correctly diagnose the problem and fix it.

I contacted Appliance Service Unlimited about my washing machine locking up. I knew it was a water flow problem, but wasn't sure if it was inside the washer. Rick from ASU came out that day, correctly diagnosed the problem as being in the hose rather then the machine, fixed the problem and showed me how to take care of the problem should it happen again. The bill was very reasonable for the timeliness of the service. I would use them again.

Technician arrived to repair refrigerator. I asked if I should remove food. He said no, not yet. Then he spent about 20 minutes on his smart phone with his back to me, saying he was checking out the problem. I had previously found my refrigerator including parts diagram in less than 5 minutes. Finally he told me that it would be about a $300 repair, which I declined, since it was 15 years old. He then explained he had seen many of these with the same problem. I was left with the impression that the 20 minutes on his phone was to justify his charge of $65 for and quot;diagnosisand quot;. It would have been better use of his and my time to just tell as soon as he saw the problem. I've used this company before, and likely will again, but this practice should be changed.

he did a great job determining I was loading washer incorrectly. Changing this solved the problem. Great service. Trust worthy and prompt. Try him.

Ended up a result of door not sealing properly.

Went great. Called us back, walked us through the issue and we were good to go. Sure beats a dishwasher full of nasty water for the rest of the weekend!

They could only give a window for the time our service person would arrive, but as per my request they did phone me when he was finished with appointment right before mine. The gentleman was very kind and professional. I am often somewhat uncomfortable in having service people come to my home when I'm home alone, as was the case when the repairman came to check out and work on our frig. My husband did come home from work at the end of the appointment. The final verdict on our frig was that it had crossed a point of no return and we needed to get a new/different one before this one entirely stopped working. He was very thorough and clear in explaining to us why our frig had met it's end. We (especially me) were absolutely delighted with the service we received and the service man who came to our home. Should we need another service for some appliance it would take no thinking about who to call---we would call Appliance Service Unlimited in a heartbeat!

I have an ancient Avocado green washing machine that is probably over 30 years old. The timing belt broke, and the washing machine was no longer progressing through cycles. If accidentally left on the rinse cycle, it would have pumped water faster than the stationary tub could drain it and flood the basement.
I called a few other appliance repair shops but they all said that the washer was too old to fix, or that the parts were no longer available.
I'm not sure how Appliance Service Unlimited found the parts, but within a week or so they were able to get the needed parts to repair the washing machine's timer and get the cycles working again. Three months later the old washer is working like a champ and I have had no issues. I hope to get another three decades of use out of the green machine. They also accept credit cards, which was nice since I did not exactly plan on this repair expense.

I was not disappointed or critical but my service was limited to inspection and no repair was required. This was my first and quot;serviceand quot; for appliances that were new in a new condo 10 years ago. I wanted a busy and hopefully, therefore, reliable company. My washer and dryer were pronounced heathy so I hope this is a good foundation for my immediate concerns to be put to rest. Unaware of detailed current rates I assume $80 for 22 minutes of inspection is pretty standard.

I had actually had Appliance Service come out to fix another problem with my washing machine back in May. At that time the drum wouldn't spin. They were prompt and friendly and fixed my washer. When the handle broke and it wouldn't draw water, I called them again. It was a few days before they could get me in the schedule, but again they were prompt and friendly and fixed the problem. After the service, I thought that the door latch assembly had been replaced for both of the repairs. It took me awhile to find my previous bill, but when I did, I called the company to find out if this was a common problem for this washer. I wasn't sure what I was looking to accomplish, but while talking with the person on the phone, it was mentioned that parts are warrantied for three months - my repairs had been done within three months of each other. The person on the phone said that they were not the manager, but they would talk to the manager and see what he said. That was a Friday. I didn't hear anything Monday or Tuesday. But on Wednesday, I received a check for the price of the latch assembly! With some of the bad experiences I've had lately, this was very refreshing. Hopefully I won't need to call on them again too soon for my washer, but if we have other appliances experience problems, I will be calling them.

I noticed my GE side-by-side refrigerator quit cooling. Called Tuesday
morning at 8; by 11:30 their tech was here. He quickly diagnosed the
problem and replaced the needed part. He also fixed my ice-maker
while he was here. Excellent response and fair pricing.
