Description of Work: I brought 2 hand held vacuums to the store for repair. The vacuums were 1 yr old and both had broken in the same places. The man gave me new parts for my vacuum (shoulder strap, hard plastic tubing and cleaning attachments). My daughter's vacuum needed the cord replaced because it had cracked from winding it up so they kept it to do the repair in addition to replacing all of the same parts that I needed replaced. I have been purchasing Oreck vacuums for myself and my daughters for approximately 25 years. The new models, especially the hand-held vacuums have decreased in quality. I am very disappointed in the products and will definitely be shopping around before purchasing another Oreck. I will say the customer service at this location was improved from the last time I was there. With very minimal conversation the man put the new pieces in a bag and told me they would call when my daughter's vacuum was done. It was done the next day! When I was getting into my car another couple was carrying in their upright Oreck.....just saying....they just don't make them like they used to!

Description of Work: I PURCHASED AN ORECK VACUUM CLEANER MODEL XL21-700. BECAUSE I HAVE ARTHRITIS, I WANTED A VACUUM CLEANER THAT WAS LIGHT WEIGHT AND EASY TO USE. THIS VACUUM CLEANER CERTAINLY IS ALL I HAD HOPED FOR. THE OTHER LESS EXPENSIVE MODELS WERE HARDER FOR ME TO PUSH. THIS IS AN UPRIGHT VACUUM CLEANER, IT PULLS ITSELF FORWARD WITHOUT ANY HELP FROM ME, IS NOT DIFFICULT ON THE BACKSTROKE IF I STEP BACK WITH IT, AND IT DOES CLEAN FAR BETTER THAN OTHERS I'VE USED IN THE PAST. AS PART OF MY PURCHASE, I ALSO RECEIVED A COMPACT CANISTER VACUUM BB 1000 SERIES WITH ATTACHMENTS, WHICH CAN BE CARRIED ON THE SHOULDER AND IS VERY USEFUL ON DRAPERIES, FURNITURE, AND WOOD AND VINYL FLOORS. I ALSO RECEIVED A FREE IRON AS PART OF THE VACUUM PURCHASE.
