Service tech was unable to fulfill the request to change internet from a WPA to a WEP because he did not know how to do it. When we moved (locally) we were charged almost $300 to move our service because it had to be re-installed. Initially we were told it would be $50 to re-install. Received bill and complained. Refused to pay. Every month they keep billing us as if we have had their service the whole time. Service was used for one month. Total bill after 1 year = $2800 and climbing. They will not turn it over to collections because that would mean we could fight it. Prices are ridiculous. Extremely slow internet but charged prices upward of $100 (for 1.5 Mbps which usually runs at half of that). Phone service has no unlimited calling plan that is cost effective. To call out of the local area you are charged for long distance. All techs, except an older gentleman who is very nice, are full of themselves and a bit condescending. If your internet is not working you must call numerous times to get a tech to come look at it. And wait around for hours. Half the time they will tell you nothing is wrong. Internet is always going out. Ladies who work in the office are extremely rude and act like they don't care much whether or not you like it since you have no other choice in Manawa for internet, phone or cable. You can get satellite TV and just recently there is competition for phone and internet. I would definitely NOT recommend going through Manawa Telephone Company for any of your needs.
