After the installation the washing machine had excessive vibrations during the rinse cycle. Called provider and made an appointment for service 4 or 5 days out. Was given an after 12:30 on Wednesday 8/27/2014 appointment. That afternoon called and was told they were running behind and gave us another appointment for a week out (not hours or days but a week out). How did we drop to the bottom of the list I don't know.

Response from Lake Country Home Services
"We still tried to come out the day we promised but your wife wasn't able to wait for the tech and she needed to reschedule the appointment and was ok with the next available day, apparently it wasn't okayed by you first. As far as the bad review on price you where given the price over the phone before we ever came out and there where no surprises. Sorry you feel we dropped the ball but we did try to help you out as best we could."

The 'technician' later identified as the owner, came in, called Frigidaire, ordered parts apparently and announced that the parts would be in, in 2 weeks and someone would call me then, as he was walking out the door!

The girls in the office were condescending and rude, and 4 weeks later, and supposedly no parts, they were defensive and nasty.  I made an appointment last week, May 14th for today and was told I needed to call on Friday May 16th to make sure the parts were in, because they couldn't call me!!!!  I called on Friday May 16th and was told the parts did arrive.

I called today, May 22nd, 2014 to see what time the technician, Dean, was coming and was told he wasn't, because he went to get the parts this morning and they weren't in.  When I asked why no one called me, Christine said it wasn't their fault if the computer said they were delivered, and he wasn't coming and they didn't know when the parts would be there.

I contacted the warranty department for Colders' where I purchased the extended warranty, and the supervisor said they first told her they had the parts and he would come, then called back and said the owner/technician, Dean, was not doing this job and the customer ( ME) should find someone else!!  The warranty company has now forwarded this to their own quality Department and may consider not using them anymore.

This was one of the WORST costumer service experiences I have ever had...

"I'm sorry that the job went so wrong most of it was my fault and I did try to call you about it but when my girls in the office where screamed at and treated so rudely over something so small i though it was best you had another service company finish the job"

Dean showed up when he promised, had the correct parts with him and was done within a half hour.  He even told me how to "fix" the freezer door on my garage fridge.

We expected to be told it wasn't worth fixing because the dryer was 27 years old and needed to be replaced. He could have said the problem was something more serious and more expensive to repair. So it looks like this provider is an honest repairman. Dryer has worked like a charm ever since the service call.

After reviewing the firm on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau we contacted them because our LG Refrigerator was making a lot of strange noises and LG had provided their name to us.
Although the refrigerator was keeping our food cool we were concerned that it could stop running or worse, resulting in an emergency and possible significant food spoilage.
As it happened Dean was in the West Bend area on another call and was able to come over on the same day we called even though it was late in the day.
Dean immediately suspected that the problem was the starter and felt at least 80% sure it would solve the problem.
Knocking on wood it appears he was right on the money as we have not heard any strange noises since he did the installation.
We were very satisfied with his service and professionalism.

Our first contact with Dean Urbanowski, the owner, was a couple of years ago.  I called our previous service repairman, only to find he had retired and Dean had taken over his clients.  Our washing machine was broken, and Dean came out to look at it.  He recommended that we purchase a new washing machine, rather than throwing money at our 15 year old washer, and he left WITHOUT CHARGING US A DIME!!  I couldn't believe it, so of course I have kept his card on file for any future appliance repair needs.  Our side-by-side refrigerator freezer quit working, so I called Dean.  After asking me a couple questions on the phone, he concluded that it might just be the icemaker and possibly the fan, so he brought the parts with him when he came out.  It indeed was the icemaker causing the problem, and he replaced it.  He also took a look at a refrigerator we have in the basement that was not cooling consistently, but he recommended replacing it, as the compressor is going and isn't worth the cost to fix it.  As Dean was getting ready to leave, I remembered that the water dispenser on our refrigerator was also broken, so he ordered the part to replace it.  He came back the next week and replaced that part.  He did not charge for another service call, just $25 for labor.
I am very happy with Dean's work, and will definitely use Lake Country Home Services in the future.

Den came into the house and looked at my mircowave and before looking at it he made a guess what would be wrong.  After getting a short step ladder and looking at the microwave he determined the what he first thought wasthe problem, it turned out to be something else.  He asked me how old the microwave was (8 years old) and determined it was no longer under warranty. He gave a price to repair it ($300) and we dicussed other options.  He then called dealer and found ot a replacement cost ($299 - $599) and gave me the place if I decide to purchase it.  I would call Lake Country Home services if I have future problems.

IFortunate that Angie's List was selling service certificates for a highly rated appliance service.  Worst case I figured I would end up paying at least $40 for a trip charge from another repair company.  No issues with schduling Lake Country.  Although not a Bosch expert the owner was able to diagnose the problem and determine the cost of parts. I decided not to repair the machine and we discussed brands and outlets for a new one.

My Amana front load washing machine started making angry sounds during the spin cycle, so I logged onto Angie's List to find a repair service. The coupon for this provider popped up, and upon confirming he is a factory authorized repair facility, I bought the coupon and called to set up an appointment. Michelle in the office was very polite and accomodating, squeezing me into a slot where someone had cancelled so I didn't have to wait a week for the next appointment. The repair tech, Dean, called me about 15 minutes before he showed up to let me know he was on his way. It quite literally took him 30 seconds to diagnose the problem with the washer, which unfortunately, was a terminal diagnosis. He was very honest about the cost of the repair and the pros and cons of doing the repair (if I could get Amana to at least cover the expensive parts), and gave his honest opinion that it probably was not worth it to try and repair the machine, even though it's only 2 years old. He then shared his knowledge with us and gave some advice as to what to look for in a replacement machine and which brands are currently making better quality products.  I found it absolutely refreshing that he would provide this advice, even though it probably means less business for him! I would call Dean in a heartbeat if I ever require service on any appliance in my home.

Our 7 yr old gas dryer was making very loud squeaking noises. I purchased a service call coupon and called to set up an appt.  The scheduler was polite and friendly.  The technician that came out was professional and friendly. He let me know the problem right away and that it wouldn't be too costly to repair up front.  We were torn between just getting a new dryer if it was going to be costly to repair. He replaced some bearings and glides and lubricated some parts.  The dryer is running well now.  Paid for approx $55 in parts and $35 for labor, plus the service call price from the coupon.  I found this to be very reasonable and I would absolutely use them again.

Overall experience was excellent!
I received a telephone quote and set up the appointment.
Dean, the owner called on the appointment day, to let me know that he was about 20 minutes away and was headed to our home.
When he got here, he immediately took off his shoes, even though I told him he did not have to.  Dean was polite, professional and very personable.  He took the old ice maker out and showed me the problem (it was fried).  As I had given his office person the model of the refrigerator, he had the exact replacement with him.
In less than 30 minutes from arrival, he completed the installation, packed up his tools and after a brief chat, he left.  When I looked at the receipt, I noticed that he had charged us $15.00 less for the labor than what I was quoted!
Thank you for helping me find him - he is a treasure!
Best regards,
Tracy Freis
