We received a quote from Gary, very nice individual who showed up on time and had a very good knowledge of the product he was selling (doors, front and back) and overall was a pleasant person. We just choose not to have the product installed due to cost.

First, we called for an appt. to get an estimate, the sale person was on time, he did his sales pitch, and gave us an estimate. Since they were one of the first estimates we got, we didn't know how that would compare to other companies, and we weren't ready to buy at that point. Even though we told them up front we we just in the looking stage, really didn't know what we wanted at that point, they still tried to give us the ol', "Well, if you buy today, we would be willing to take $XXX.xx off the sales price of the windows you want...and that is our "rock bottom" price. We can't go any lower than that". We said no thank you and sent the sales guy on his way.
Not long after their first visit, we got another call from their "sales manager". He came up with another "deal", if we bought by a certain date, they would take another $XXX.xx off their "rock bottom price". Since we were still in the looking stage, we told them, while it seemed like a good deal, we weren't ready to buy yet...so no thank you.
Not long after the 2nd call, we got another 2 or 3 calls from Feldco representatives asking if we had made any decisions yet. Each time we told them no...we were still looking. In one of the last calls we received from Feldco the rep said, if we could make a decision soon, they could take off more money off the order (I guess it would be their rock bottom, bottom, bottom price), as they could combine our order with a larger order, which would save them and us even more money. But in order to give us the "best deal" we had to make a decision in the next few days (they gave us about 3 days to make a final decision). We told them we could call them back in a couple of days with our decision. We called them back told them we were still looking...and please do not call us back until we had more time; we still received a couple more sales calls. Even after we went with another company, and even months after the other company installed our new windows, we are still getting sales calls from them.
In Feldco's defense, this must be a fairly common practice in window sales...where a salesman will give you their "rock bottom" price...but yet they will call you back within days with a "special deal" that will "save you even more money"; as every one of the window companies we got estimates from did the exact same thing. Long story short, the whole process is kind of frustrating, because you never really know if you are getting a great price, or if you are paying more than you should.
I think it would be much better if all these window companies were just plain up front with their prices. You know, tell the purchaser that the materials cost $X amount, the labor is going to be $X amount, they have to make $X profit, and this is the price they must charge. Instead, as I mentioned above, they give you their "best" price right away, then continue to call and offer different deals every time they call. Buying windows is almost as bad as buying a used car...but at least with a used car you know what the Blue Book value is before trying to make a deal. With windows, especially if you've never gone through this process before, it's hard to figure out whether you are getting a good deal or if you are being taken to the cleaners.
Overall, our experience with Feldco was good. Not great, but good. The folks on the phone were nice enough, the salesman seemed like a nice guy, they had good quality products, and they really seemed to stand behind their products. I realize times are hard for these companies, with the economy the way it is, and they are just trying to make a buck, but I think they need to scale back on the sales calls.
Gary from Feldco was friendly but professional and provided the most reasonable estimate; with no 'after or hidden costs'. He made several different suggestions to replace the previous single picture window. He met us at the Feldco showroom a day or two later so we could actually see the product before placing order.
The gentlemen that installed the window were also very professional. Their work was exemplary - very neat & clean; there was no trace of the removal of old window or any mess left behind from the work they performed. The window replaced and trim provided blended perfectly with the trim of the house.
This new window has really enhanced the appearance of both the outside and inside of the house. I would (and already have) recommended Feldco to several friends, neighbors, & relatives.

The estimator was on time and knew his product.
Feldco has two grades of vinyl siding, the top grade has attached foam backing and a thicker vinyl while the other does not have the attached backing, but rather a slide in type and is not as thick.
The estimator made his presentation, concentrating on the top grade, and, while not saying so, showed me the advantages of this product. He then gave me a price for both grades.
After I rejected his prices and told him I was not interested in the top grade product, we talked about the less expensive product.
He told me he could not lower the price anymore but if he called his boss, maybe he could do something. To make the story short, I believe the call was a ruse, we settled on a price.
The company had to send, as part of their service, another estimator to verify the measurements and then set up an installation time.
Feldco worked with me to allow time for me to remove the old siding and arrived when they said they would.
All work was completed satisfactorily and in a very short time. The installation crew kept.and left the work site clean.
The only problem we had with the crew was that they did not respect the flowers that we had planted along two sides of the home.
They trampled all of the plants in two 18' by 3' planting areas next to the house, except a large (6' high by 3' wide) rose bush.
All in all, I am happy with the product and service provided.

The proposal at this visit included the price for a Patio door and 5 windows.
