Commercial and residential insulation, retrofit, and remodel projects.
Description of Work: We had them do some insulation in our basement and attic in cooperation with our local PUD. All seemed to go well from what we could see at the time but recently during a bathroom remodel we cut open the ceiling and found there was no insulation on the ceiling in the two feet or so nearest the outer wall. There were cardboard panels they had placed between the rafters to allow airflow, but the had fallen down because there was no insulation under them. It apperared that the employee blowing the fiberglass insulation hadn't gotten it in place along the edge and it simply piled up and formed a dam that prevented the insulation from moving into the area. The empty area was not visible from the access hatch. My concern was just how widespread the problem was - whether just the one are was missed and it wouldn't be that big a problem or whether it extended throughout the attic. I called Burnham and explained my concern and asked that the they look into it, preferably by using an infared camera to check the ceiling, as I figured an insulation firm would have one on hand. They promised to to get back to me and even gave me the name of the employee who would do so, but they never returned my calls.

Great. The installers (Jake and Gus, if I remember correctly) were on-time, polite, and seemed to carefully follow the job sheet. They also helped my out by closing and caulking a hole under some roof flashing that critters were using to get into our attic. The job took four hours and they started and finished right on schedule. Their price and service were both great. Two friends of mine in the building trades said they thought this would have been a $2,500-3,000 job. They were surprised that a PSE-approved installer would do the job for this. I haven't seen my first heating bill since doing this work, but I'm looking forward to it.
Description of Work: Added insulation to the attic in our 28-year-old house. The original insulation was missing in spots, and only 2-3 inches in most places. Burnham's blew in fiberglass insulation to R-38, added three roof vents, placed baffles on the eave vents, connected a bathroom fan to a roof vent (it previously just vented into the attic), and put insulation covers on our ceiling can lights. They also covered and insulated a big wood stove and fireplace pipe chase that previously was open to the attic.

I thought it went extremely well since I had a contractor completing work on the basement, and that man went outside and screamed at the insulation installer. It ended up being quite uncomfortable, yet Burnham handled the problem with a calm polite continued work ethic.
Description of Work: Insulated exterior walls of the house and came back to touch up paint around the wall in the parts where there were shingles that had been cracked from removal to put in the insulation.

They did what they said they would in the time frame stated. On the scheduled day, they arrived on time. They offered reasonable pricing. I would recommend them to others as I was satisfied with the results.
Description of Work: I had completed a remodeling project which added a second story and kitchen area. The company blew insulation into my 400 square foot of kitchen. Then, they rolled insulation in my second story addition. This measures 1000 square feet. The job took 1 day to complete.

Burnham was excellent. They were able to do all the work cheaper than I could myself and they were extremely professional, on time and detailed. Word to the wise if your thinking of having insulation blown to outside walls do it ''before you paint not after'' like I did the process may knock off a little paint when the technician reinstalls the shingles.
Description of Work: Blew in insulation to all existing outside walls of house and in the attic.
