Our 20 year old air conditioner stopped working due to a compressor failure and we evaluated 3 other quotes before finalizing Bassett Home Heating. John was super helpful all through and especially during the phase when we were extremely confused with the options and considerations of heat pump vs AC, sizing, features and efficiency vs ROI. The experience and expertise were very clear and we felt John was someone we could trust and rely on. It didn’t hurt that his quote was the best too. It was also good to have the assurance that it is a family run business hence the actual install person is a designated person (John’s son David) upfront and someone John could vouch for. Once we made the decision, the lead time was less than a week and executed in a timely manner. There was a minor surprise due to our previous installation issues but John took care of that without additional costs. For the actual installation, David and Sergio showed very good attention to detail. As John vouched for him earlier, David indeed demonstrated a strong sense of accountability with a positive & patient demeanor. Overall, very happy with the service and would definitely recommend

This company has been consistently good for me and my house in the last 11 years. Having to deal with changing a furnace, a water heater, and last week a heat pump , is not for the faint of heart. I have to say, John and Debbie made it relatively painless. They worked on my timetable and were very accommodating. Most of the technicians that installed my furnace 11 years ago are still there. Those guys are fast and efficient. AND they clean up after themselves! Which is something I can't say about the electrician, the roof people, the window replacement guys I've had to deal with. I never write reviews (unless I am mad beyond reason:), but for Bassett - thank you guys for being so easy on my nervous system!

I don't think we could have asked for a better experience with replacing our furnace and adding an air conditioner. They gave us a line item estimate and discussed the pros and cons of various options, including rebates to apply for. Excellent service! We had Bassett replace all the flexible ductwork under our house with metal ductwork. (Rats had eaten through the flexible ducts). David, Isaiah, and Jiwan were very professional, courteous and clean. They arrived when they said they would, kept us updated as to the work and cleaned up when they left. The owner, John, gave us a good, clear estimate ahead of time and explained what they would do. They were extremely well priced. I would say the only negative was getting a call back but keep trying. They are worth it and more! We interviewed three other companies. They are the best!

We have been customers of Bassett Heating for many years and always have been so impressed with their service. This is a family owned and operated business and you feel that personal touch. Whenever we have had a furnace issue over the years, John swings by our home quickly to make sure we are not left in the cold. John & his son installed a new furnace for us a few years ago and continued their tradition of great service. We schedule annual maintenance with them for our furnace to keep it in top working condition. When we decided to upgrade and add central air conditioning last year, it was an easy choice to go with Bassett Home Heating. John came by in February 2022, gave us an estimate for both installation timing & price, then returned with the install just in time for the summer heat in 2022. I highly recommend this company!

Review for Bassett Home Heating, Inc.: In early February of 2022, John Bassett of Bassett Home Heating, Inc., the representative of the family-owned and operated heating and cooling company, responded when I asked for an estimate to remove an old gas furnace and install a new gas furnace and an air-conditioner in its place. John showed up on time and discussed the project in detail. In addition to the fact that Bassett featured American Standard products, I was impressed by the 3-year maintenance agreement (A/C and furnace) I could purchase wherein a company representative would stop by each winter and each summer to maintain our new furnace and air-conditioner. I requested that the furnace and A/C be installed before June and they were installed on May 23 by John’s son, David Bassett. David showed up with a 3-man crew and the installation was completed in less than a day. I was impressed by the competence and professionalism of the installation. Bassett was able to use my existing programmable thermostat (which was fairly new), and David took the time to explain how to operate it for the furnace (heat) and the air-conditioner (cool). The air-conditioner and the furnace have both operated exceptionally well throughout the summer, fall, and upcoming winter. I would rate the total experience as 4 out of 5 stars. Although the products and installation were top notch, communication with the office was inconsistent. I paid the revised balance of my bill shortly after installation (which was less because a new thermostat was not needed). I was told that there were computer problems when I called, emailed or left voicemails requesting a copy of the revised invoice as proof of payment that I could supply to Puget Sound Energy for an energy rebate. Five weeks after installation, I received a revised second invoice and updated paperwork in the mail.

I had five estimates from different installers for a new gas furnace. I knew I would go with John Bassett after the first few minutes of meeting him. This family owned business did an excellent job and at a fair price. No high pressure sales, nor suggestions of additional items like a maintenance contract or vent cleaning. The installation went smoothly, they came on time, cleaned up afterwards and passed the Redmond permitting process with flying colors.

I have my 99 year old grandmother and an infant in my house in the middle of winter and could not wait a week. I called Bassett and they came that night and found the problem right away. We have been using Bassett for 17 years and have always had a great experience with them. Their pricing is extremely competitive, they are prompt, and they do a great job. When we moved into a new house, the water heater was probably 15 years old and ready to go, the furnace may well have been the original from 1962. John came out and looked everything over - he told me that it wasn't critical to replace either but considering their age either could go at any time. He gave a quote to replace them (which was less than other bids I had recived) and we decided to have the work done. Couldn't be happier with the final results. There was one call back but his crew came out the same day I called and made it right.
