A to Z Stump & Tree Inc

This is the second time I have had A-Z come out. Both times they have done a wonderful job, have been on time and very fast. They also cleaned up afterwards, including chipping all of the branches and cleaning the garage roof and gutters.

. It went perfectly. The crew arrived on time. They quickly set about the job and in a few hours had it done. They were fast and efficient. I was very pleased.

Very professional crew. Did exactly what was told to us before the work started. Cleaned up after job very well. No complaints!

I have a small stump grinding job in an enclosed courtyard. I sent Charlie a message and asked if he would do this job or refer me to someone else if this job was too small and too far away for him. I know these guys are busy and the last thing they need to do in the evening is spend time responding to someone that is not likely to ever put money in their pocket. I could not believe that within 2 hrs. Charlie sent me a 6 word message with the name of a more appropriate service. If I ever have a tree service job large enough to woo Charlie and his crew.... I will call him first. Thank you Charlie.... you are awesome!!

I chose my home because it's on the edge of a beautiful ravine.....and didn't think much about what would happen in a storm. I had invited other tree companies out to give me an estimate on taking out a couple of trees that appeared to be leaning, but they either didn't do part of the service (like taking out the stumps suggesting I could do it, hello, I'm an old woman and this is not an activity on my bucket list, ever) or they predicted tree Armageddon with a corresponding price. One tree came down in the first seasonal storm, which made me realize it was time to revisit this. A to Z was simply terrific. They provided a fast, very detailed estimate, walking me through exactly what needed to be done with each of 12 trees. It was SO clear they knew their stuff and were very reasonable and willing to figure out ways to keep the costs in line. I also have a kind-of-ugly view of a neighbor's rooftop, but due to my slope every other company and landscaper said there was nothing to be done. They offered three extremely sane alternatives, planted 10 trees, and it looks wonderful. They arrived on time, came in under budget, gave me a discount, and cleaned up the mess. I simply couldn't be happier and have invited them back for more work!

They were great! They were courteous, did what we wanted when we wanted. Their price was fair.

Scott was great. He showed up when he said he would, got the work done quickly and didn't make a huge mess with the chips.

The work was done in a timely manner and the crew did a great job of cleaning up all debris. There was some delay in getting info relayed and responded to initially, but once that was corrected the job went well. I appreciated having the arborist on site while the work was done.

Strong winds blew down the tops of two trees on the garden in my yard, each about 30 feet long and pretty thick. They broke of a lot of branches as they fell. Our garden was covered with the trees and branches. A to Z Stump promptly arrived to provide an estimate. I scheduled the service for two days later. The tree guys arrived early and worked efficiently. Best of all, they were careful not to damage the garden any further and probably saved some of the shrubs. When they were done, we could barely tell that large parts of big trees had fallen.

The company's certified arborist inspected our property and trees in mid-September, made recommendations, and provided a quote for each component of the work. Chris provided a good deal of useful information about our plantings in an accurate and accessible style, giving us a sense of confidence in the work the company might do. We selected a portion of the total work recommended. It was a busy season and it took a while to schedule our appointment but it was not an unreasonable wait. The crew showed up on time and worked their butts off in lousy weather. They were careful and respectful of neighboring properties on both sides and left our place clean. Although the price seemed to be very good to us, other potential customers should know that we did not solicit a large number of competing bids; we simply liked Chris and trusted the company. A very good experience for us.

There were 4 workers - very professional. Cleaned up after themselves. Whenever we had questions they would stop what they were doing and answer them. Gave us advice on what to do with some of the other plants we had - have only been in this house a year and the people who owned it were tree happy - very pleased with their work. We wouldn't hesitate to have them again and would recommend them highly.

I got three bids from different tree service companies which are all graded A on Angie's list. I decided to hire A to Z stump & Tree because I like the way they broke down the cost to the work of each tree, although the overall price does not differ much from other two companies. The crew showed up on time in the morning, and finished the whole work highly efficiently within one hour. The trees are pruned exactly the same way as I expected and the tree was removed and cleaned up like it never existed. They are very professional and provided highly quality work. I definitely highly recommend this company for their tree service! The only reason I gave B for the "responsiveness" is that they said they would contact me within a week after I sent the signed contract to them, but I've been waiting for the whole week without any response until I called Charlie again. And this time Charlie and Chris responded and moved forward quickly.

The service was very good and they did a good job. Three guys came out and it took them about two hours to complete the work. They did exactly what we wanted and they cleaned up everything very well.

A bit of confusion on the day the work was done about pricing but it all worked out. They showed up on time with several crew members, did the work, cleaned up and left. You could not tell at the end that they were ever there. They have their system down. We are happy with the results.

I contacted A to Z Stump & Tree Inc. via Angie?s List messaging on 5 Oct. I inquired if they serviced my area (I was interested in tree trimming services and possibility a tree health assessment by an arborist). I received an enthusiastic ?YES? response on 7 Oct with instructions to fill out a service request on their website. I submitted the on-line request the same day, but didn?t hear anything back. I contacted them directly on 10 Oct. Now, perhaps the person who answered didn?t know how to use a phone, but I was disconnected twice. He called me back after the first the first dropped call and was very non-committal about being able to provide service, he would have to check to see if the arborist could come out and then he disconnected me abruptly again. There was no follow-up call, no response via Angie?s list, NOTHING ? and it?s not as if they didn?t have my contact information. I refuse to waste my time and money on lousy customer service. Given this extremely poor first impression, I will be taking my business elsewhere. UPDATE: As far as the service provider's response to this review, I beg to differ. After telling me at one point they could do the work and then turning around with another story, there was no additional information given about another company who could do the work in my area. I'm happy to report that I found another provider that did an excellent, professional job with no hassle! And, I might add, they understand the value of good customer communication.

The arborist came on time and I was very impressed with his expertise. He gave me some options & his professional opinion. I felt very confident that he knew what he was talking about. The operation itself went very well. I can't believe how quickly & efficiently everything was done. The whole job was handled very professionally. The crew came on time, did their jobs & left no mess at all.

I filled out a request for a free estimate with A-Z Stump and Tree last week. I was contacted and by Friday, Scott was onsite to give me an estimate to remove a stubborn stump from an old camilla that I'd cut down after I bought my house 5 years ago. When I asked how soon he could start the job, Scott scheduled me for first thing Monday morning - originally 8am - but due to some unforeseen circumstances, he arrived at 8:40 after calling earlier to let me know he'd be late. Once on site, Scott and his coworker got to work quickly and finished the job in under an hour. These guys do great work!

I didn't actually have any services done that was basically in our worst coming out to give me an assessment, but that explains, expertise points from the time going to spend as much time as we needed with him and he was open with recommending what we should do. I would use this provider again in the future.

Once A to Z bid the job and I accepted, the work was performed in under a week. They came did everything in about 2.5 hours. Cleaned everything up and hauled all debris away. Did a very nice job. I would hire A to Z again.

Chris was prompt and courteous. He provided a detailed bid, but it was not the lowest bid and we chose a different provider.

Chris called and scheduled the time, which was convenient for us. His crew came in early (finished other job early) They got busy!! We had Chris Hall (A to Z) work on some other trees before. Chris listened to what we wanted and explained the best process to achieve what we wanted. His crew were efficient and showed respect for our property, by leaving the area very pristine Chris explained exactly what they would be doing and what the cost would be. We will only use A to Z Stump if we need any further work in our yard!!

The team at A to Z Stump & Tree were professional and did a great job. Arborist Chris Hall is very knowledgeable, and gave us good advice on how to care for trees on our property. The team arrived on time and finished the work within the estimated time. We will definitely be working with A to Z for our tree maintenance.

We had some trees interfering with our satellite TV signal and had A to Z come out to top the trees involved. Scott was the person we dealt with and he was very professional and did great work. We'd had the trees thinned out previously by another company but that didn't last very long. At the time, it took the other company most of the day to do the work. A to Z came in and was done in just 1-2 hours and did a great job. They also ground down a stump for us which turned out great. Price was very competitive and the work was done quickly and well. Highly recommended and we'd be happy to use them again.
