The facts are that several things were missed by this company when creating our foundation. It took a lot of effort to have this company come and correct two of the mistakes. Now that we are starting electrical the inspector has discovered another thing this company missed but North County Concrete does not answer our phone calls, phone message or text messages. So we will be fixing this mistake ourselves which requires laying 20 feet of rebar and encasing it in concrete 3 inches thick on all sides. Short list of errors: *1/2 inch off on foundation (not too bad to make work but still it goes on the list) *1 inch off on the garage door opening ...(13/16 short technically they told me not a full inch) *No sleeves for septic, water and drain lines (this was discussed and I was assured it would be done and because of it not being done we were at risk of not having enough fall as it had to go under the foundation) *The pads of the front porch posts were not made tall enough so as they made it the wood post would have to be buried and even though it is pressure treated would eventually rot away. +They did come back and add concrete to these with resistance. *The J bolts shown on the plan were not placed in the concrete though they said they would do everything according to the plans. +They did come back to drill and place bolts but they are not as secure type as they are not embedded in the concrete. *They missed placing four ... or six hold downs which is extremely important. The inspector got involved on this one and required them to video and photograph them correctly installing the hold downs including more drilling into the concrete. *Now the most recent thing found is that if a home has 20ft of concrete footings the rebar must stick out and will be used for ground on the homes electrical. These are the facts the frustration caused by these errors is as you can imagine, high, especially with a small house/budget.
