Description of Work: I was in a time predicament and needed to complete the work by the end of the year. They went the extra mile to work me in at the end of the day and get the chimney cap installed. I had to leave before the work was completed and the office called me the next morning to follow up on the work performed. Great service. Plan to use them again.

+ 0 moreTony came to my house on time on Saturday, October 20th. I paid Tony $58 dollars for the chimney inspection. I ordered the chimney cap, which was to come from California. I really don't know if $265.00 is a good price or not for a chimney cap. I ordered one that has a lifetime guarantee. Tony installed the chimney cap one day when I wasn't home. I didn't even realize it had been installed until I called October 31st to check the status and Phyllis said Tony had installed it on the 29th! It's been so dark before and after work, I hadn't even noticed it up there! Phyllis said I would be receiving the bill shortly.
Description of Work: Tony inspected my chimney. He determined that it did not need to be cleaned. I had also asked about getting a chimney cap. After measuring the chimney, he quoted me $265.00.

+ 0 moreTony is a great guy and very straight forward with a great New York attitude. He showed up early and went over everything step by step. My chimney was clean, so there was no sweep. What I really appreciated is the time he took to explain to me what to look for and how to maintain what I have. He went above and beyond my expectations. Before he left, he gave my kids' stickers. I highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreWhen making the appointment over the phone they were very thorough in gathering data to prepare for the visit, as well as generous with information about wood stove upkeep and cleaning. During the actual visit Tony was prompt, professional and courteous. It was easy to ascertain that this company treats its customers with courtesy while conducting business with the highest integrity. Plus, Tony is the only chimney sweep in the Vancouver, WA area who is certified. That speaks volumes. I would highly recommended Matchbox for any of your fireplace/woodstove/chimney needs.
Description of Work: Woodstove stove pipe condition & flue connection checked, chimney was cleaned/swept & completely vacuumed.

Our specialized chimney sweeping equipment consists of a RoVac vacuum system, with HEPA filtration, to ensure that our work is done in a clean and professional manner. We don’t use our chimney sweeping services as a means to up sell other expensive products or unnecessary costly repairs. If during the inspection or cleaning we do find repairs necessary, we recommend trusted companies that specialize in those areas
NO masonry repair work, such as chimney rebuilding; crown repair; crown building; or tuckpointing.
