Design Doctors (DD)came to start the drying process on short notice on Sunday of a holiday weekend. Hurrah! Their scheduling and organization was outstanding. I knew exactly who was coming and what they'd be doing and it happened just as scheduled. The project progressed quickly as a result. The workmen were congenial, but also very professional. The quality of the work was also outstanding. At every step of the process, I received communications about what would happen next. I will definitely hire them again when I need remodeling.

I am very pleased with this company's performance. I really appreciate their attention to the smallest details. They gave me good guidance on choices of materials and my kitchen looks beautiful. I asked them for a quote for another project right away after seeing the results, and I can't wait to see how they transform my bathrooms.

I am trying to find a way to articulate how happy we are to have worked with Design Doctors (DD). We were in the process of repatriating back to the US, moving to a new town, and this was our first major remodel. The following are highlights, but at the highest level I would just say that if you want to have confidence that you will land on excellence in outcomes, go with DD. 1.) Justin was extremely responsive and hands-on throughout - his greatest contribution was that he has great judgment about structural dynamics of houses and how to improve them and at the same time he has great taste and judgment with respect to interior design. He did a very good job of helping us avoid bad decisions and was able to get the best out of two married people who sometimes had opposing views. 2.) These guys are just plain professional. We knew from the beginning that they would not allow things to go wrong, and they wouldn't cut corners. Justin was very good about managing expectations and keeping us from frustration and disappointment. In my job we have a saying: "happiness is a function of expectations set" and DD really live by this. 3.) Harry, the lead on overall project management was present throughout the entire project and by the end we felt he was part of the family and we felt a sense of disappointment that he wasn't going to be a permanent part of our household. I think one of Design Doctors' biggest challenges is to conclude projects and move on... we could keep thinking of more and more things to do... 4.) Commitment to excellence - Scott, their genius of finishing work solved some very difficult problems created by the original builders of the house. There were things about the design that were just plain goofy and he was able to come up with innovative solutions that were just plain brilliant. I also note that I would come in and find him working on nights and weekends to stay on track... but also because he was just so committed to getting it right. Hard to put a price on that. 5.) Subs - this is frequently the make or break aspect of remodels and DD do not make tradeoffs. The commitment to excellence is consistent from the core DD team, but also through the subs as well. It is very clear they work so closely together that they are almost indistinguishable. 6.) Because this was our first remodel, we created a lot of change orders. Justin and team were extremely flexible and adaptable and still stayed right on time. 6.) DD probably isn't the cheapest and I wouldn't want them to be. We cared about quality and ensuring that our investment wouldn't fall apart after the work was completed. We didn't have time to micromanage. Justin has worked in this area so long that he knows all of the historical issues with builders in the area - that has enormous value and saves money in the long run. Businesses should be compensated for value created. Bottom line - the feeling at the end was similar to the end of a great book or movie. We felt bittersweet that it was over. How many times have you felt that after working with contractors? I am super critical (I manage all types of engineers), and can say it has never happened before. Finally, on the 4th of July we invited a bunch of the local neighbors to see the house and they were astounded at the transformation. We even met one of the previous owners (2 owners ago) and they couldn't believe how much more solid and of high quality the house seemed. Enough said I guess...

Design Doctors not only performed the work in a professional manner, they were also considerate while working inside the house and completed the projects well within our limited budget. I highly recommend them!

It went extremely well. The original estimate was for a three week project. It actually took four weeks, but they had to have asbestos removed from both bathroom floors so that set things back bit. Once we contacted Design Doctors, they got back to us promptly and we scheduled a meeting so they could determine the scope of the work. We received they plan and cost estimate within a week after this walk through. We had a number of questions and requested clarification of a few issues. All were resolved quickly. We had no difficulty arranging meetings with Nick and Tyler to select tile, floor coverings, the vanity, counter tops, fixtures, etc. Everything arrived on site as expected so there were no delays while awaiting receipt of materials. We had one small problem when the wrong tile was being installed on the wrong floor. As soon as we noticed, it was removed and the proper tile was immediately installed. Any time we had questions, Tyler was very quick to respond to our calls (evenings and weekend included). Design Doctors is a very high quality organization and we have nothing but praise for everyone we dealt with. We would certainly use them again and highly recommend them.

Before even beginning the job, Justin came to our home and picked us up, and then he drove us to the different businesses and helped us pick out the countertop, fixtures, and material for the backsplash. He also took care of the garbage disposal replacement. Great, great service and so tremendously helpful. Riggs did a very artful and beautiful job on the back splash. We even had him change a small part of the backsplash and he did it without any complaints. Appreciated that! Justin inspected the finished job to make sure it was done as it should be. It all looks so beautiful and we are very, very pleased with it.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We gathered a few quotes and went with Design Doctor's (DDs) because the owner listened to what we wanted to have done and instead of telling us it wasn't possible, he told us it was possible and then made it happen. He guided us along the way as we chose flooring, tiles, paint, etc. which was helpful as it kept us on target with the budget and made the process a little less overwhelming. The kitchen looks amazing, the bathroom looks amazing and the resurfaced walls look amazing! A few things that really stand out were the tile work (bathroom floor/shower and kitchen backsplash), the wood work (cabinetry, baseboards, installation of banister for upstairs, door casing, etc.) and the overall management of the project. These guys have great attention to detail and it shows. The DDs crew were professional and courteous. Our questions (and we had a lot them) were answered quickly and any concerns we had (which were very few) were addressed right away. We will definitely use DDs again for future projects and recommend them to friends, family and coworkers. Thank you for the exceptional work you did on our house. We are now in love with it!

The project took a little longer than expected due to weather delays but the end result was outstanding. Nick was very helpful and patient with us on the selection of tile, plumbing fixtures, and the shower design. During the bid process, we changed the specs several times and Nick was very prompt in providing several updated bids. We are very pleased with the final result. The design, workmanship of the tile shower, and attention to detail was truly outstanding! Jared and his installation crew did a terrific job in designing and building the tile shower. The tile work and quartz countertops look great and all components were installed with care in a professional manner.

Laura was the contact person when I called Design Doctors. She was friendly and helpful. She was competent and professional throughout the entire process. This was a very small job, costing less than $800 total. I had called several roof contractors to get quotes. Most did not even return my call and one decided the job was not big enough to bid. Design Doctors arranged for a roofing contractor and a gutter contractor to do the repairs. When I had concerns about the roof repair, Laura had the roofing contractor return to take care of the issue. Laura gave me the same attention and excellant service as a much larger project. I will use Design Doctors when I remodel my kitchen and bathroom. I trust them.

Before hiring Design Doctors we had met with many other contractors, most of who were pretty unresponsive and others kept changing their prices. We were very leery starting work with Design Doctors because of the previous contractors and the amount of money we were spending. However, we couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. They stuck exactly to their budget and stressed that everything would be done to our specifications. All the work they did was beautiful and very high quality. My husband and I are perfectionists but that wasn't a problem at all. In fact many times the crew made suggestions that turned out to be better than we could imagine. We would recommend them to anyone without hesitation and will be hiring them in the future to redo the kids bathroom.

Justin and team did an amazing job. On time, on budget with a high quality repair. On top of it all, they engineered a solution that saved me quite a bit of money as compared to other quotes. A very professional experience from start to finish.

We met with Justin and Nick at first and discussed what we were looking for and our budget. They both had some great ideas. I met with Hayes Cabinets to select my cabinets and hardware. Very professional. Then I met with Justin to go over countertops, flooring, backsplash etc. He had very good design ideas for my kitchen and listened to what I was looking for. Nick also helped with selection of the sink and faucet etc. The project manager, Tyler, was very professional and very personable as well. He and his crew always left the place very neat after they completed for the day. Tyler was also very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had and was very patient. Overall, the project went smoothly. They were able to finish on schedule despite a few issues with materials not being there. In addition, they were able to replace the flooring in our foyer to match the kitchen floor. The workmanship on all accounts is excellent. In 6 weeks, they raised the ceiling and put in new drywall, textured and painted ceilings and walls, and installed new lighting,cabinets,countertops, backsplash ,hood and appliances and flooring. They also ensured that we were satisfied with the work and went above and beyond to fix any issues, of which there were just a few. We are hoping to use them again for our master bath next year.

They started on the day they said they would, and all of the crews were very skilled and professional. They blended the new with the old and it all looks fantastic inside and out.

Everything went exactly as planned and on time. The detail work was done by experts who knew what they were doing. Workers were very responsive to my questions and concerns no matter how minor. Clean up was every day.

The professionalism from everyone we came in contact within this company were professional, friendly and totally accommodating. Anything we wanted to do was fine with them, they would advise if it was the smart way to go upon my request. I cannot say enough about this company and the employees.

All work was completed quickly and professionally. The communication from the company was consistent and my questions were answered within a couple hours. We were very pleased with the service, the people and the work that was completed. We thought that going with a general contractor might slow things down and make communication more difficult but everything went incredibly smoothly. We have already been talking to them about future work that we would like to have done.

This is the third project I have undertaken with Design Doctors.  It is always a pleasure to work with Justin and his crew.  They are professional, courteous, responsive, and always go that extra mile to make your remodel project outstanding!  I highly recommend Design Doctors and will hire them again for my next remodel project.

One word succinctly defines the services of Design Doctor -- OUTSTANDING!!  Outstanding in terms of customer services, craftsmanship, responsiveness and punctuality, cost, professionalism, etc., etc.  I was in desperate need of repairing my detached undercount kitchen sink and called plumbing companies, construction firms, granite companies, and the like who all either said they were not able to do the work or referred me to another company which was unable to help.  I went to Angie's List and contacted Design Doctor thinking that the "Doctor" portion of the company's name could "cure" my problem.  To my delight, I contacted Justin, the owner who was kind enough to come out within a couple days to diagnose the problem.  Being so separate to repair, the problem, I asked him to fix the problem without obtaining an estimate.  I was willing to pay any amount but to my surprise, the final invoice was more than reasonable given the number of visits.  The repair process took several days but Justin, not only repaired the sink but also repaired some other plumbing issues that I was unaware of.

I would, without any reservations recommend Design Doctor for any construction needs.  I know that I will contact him to do the remodeling on my master bathroom in the near future.  These guys are great!!!

From the intial consultation with Justin and Nick, to the completion of two remodeled bathrooms, Design Doctors delivered top quality craftsmen, communication, and a beautiful finished project. The staff, (Justin, Nick, Jared, Crystal, Tyler, Brian, Jack, Ryder, Riggs, and Juan) provided communication and excellent service at times as promised. They listened to me and also made professional suggestions that enhanced the finished project. The cost was spot on as estimated.
