Did a great job on several shirts and a dress

I selected this cleaner based on advertised expertise in pressing. I have used them several times to clean and press wool riding habits/suits that require special handling. (These are older suits that are getting more delicate with age, get very dirty from contact with horses, have lapels that require a certain press.) Custom Care Cleaners has done on excellent job so far. All work is done in-house, and staff members have been very responsive to my special requests.

I had the cleaning priced at other places and they were very competitive with the pricing. They did an excellent job. Turned out beautiful.

Some months ago, I lost my regular dry cleaner of 6 years when they went out of business. I was on my own to pick a new dry cleaning service. I picked one and when they did not work out, I chose another. This one did not work out either. That is when I decided to join Angies List. They listed Custom Care Valet Dry Cleaning at 6219 E. Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver, Washington. All the reviews for them were positive.
I had two missions for them: 1. Clean my suit and a number of dress shirts. 2. Reattach a button that was missing on the suit. The staff member I met saw that I was a new customer and created a file for me in their computer listing all my preferences, such as amount of starch in the shirts and whether I wanted them on hangers or folded for travel. I appreciated the fact they gave me two work order receipts, one for the cleaning and the other for the repair. I knew by doing this they would not fail in getting this done. The information was put into the computer as well as the written receipts. Very professional!!
I picked up both suit and shirts a couple of days letter and was frankly amazed at the professionalism of the repair work. Very well done. The button was attached in a way far superior to the company who made the suit. The shirts were perfect.
I highly recommend them.

They are super friendly and super accommodating. The cost is a bit high because they do delivery. If my husband is out of the office at the delivery time then they will go out of the place and meet him at another location too.

The price is reasonable. They are really good. They always get things right back, never had any problems. They will pick up at our house if we want them too on certain days, so that is nice and they will bring it back. We are using them for probably 10 years.

Their service is great; the prices are comparable to walk-ins and the convenience can't be beat. So far, everything they have cleaned has been professionally done.

Their dry cleaning is generally okay in terms of overall finish and pressing, but laundry has been routinely below expectations - some grayness and uneven whitening - and inexpert spot removal. Very nice people who try to provide great customer service. Spot removal, for both dry cleaning and laundry, is a consistent weakness.

For nearly twenty years, I have been very satisfied with the service I have received at Custom Care. Mark and Pam and their trained staff know their stuff! I have repeatedly presented items for dry cleaning, some with big issues, and received them back in great shape. Courteous and effective advise is always available too. They are honest about what they can and cannot do. You get what you pay for. Price can not always be the number one factor. (And I've spent 100's over the years). Things like integrity, honesty, great customer service, and a commitment to excellence are still things I look for in services I receive. Customer service is NOT a lost art at Custom Care! You might call them the Nordstroms of dry cleaners!
