The initial contact was quick and professional and the problem was diagnosed in short order. On the second trip the boss showed up with two men to do the work. They were efficient and did good work, I'm pleased with the result and would readily bring them back to do more work.

Matt Bay and Compass Electric LLC did a great job installing electric for my kitchen renovation. We added new tasks onto the job at the last minute and modify the schedule. Since I work full time, I provided Matt with photos and specifications by email and text to describe the requirements of the job. Matt was extremely prompt in responding to my emails, customer oriented, and flexible with scheduling and project requirements. The job was completed on time, on budget, and according to my requirements.

he took out my electric heaters in the wall. he let me know that there might be marks left on the wall. he did a great job.

I sent him an email and within 5 minutes on a Sunday he called me to set up an appointment. He was very courteous and I would highly recommend him as well as use him again if I needed to.

Took a while to get this scheduled, because this contractor is pretty busy. They arrived at the time agreed on date and time. I felt the technician did a thorough job and quality of the repairs was excellent. I'm having them give an estimate on my entertainment room wiring.

Matt's design knowledge was very helpful as we decided how to update our lighting. He and his crew are easy to work with and responsible. They did a good cleanup job when the work was finished, and even did a couple things beyond the contract, just to be certain we (and they) were happy with their work. The rates are fair and we received a detailed list of costs before the work started. We love our new lights!

Scheduling was fine. There was $100 in additional costs beyond the price of the deal. They completed the work. However, I was surprised for how they charged additional costs.

.Matt and Austin did a great job. They where most helpful helping two Seniors understand options and how the work was going to be done. We will call them again if we need more work done.

We discovered our 200 amp sevice panel was failing and we couldn't find parts for it. We talk to the people at Grovers Electrical Store who couldn't help but they suggested we contact Oregon Breakers for our parts. I called them and they couldn't come up with a new main 200 amp disconnect. Ours was so old new ones aren't available. Our main disconnect was failing to the point of sounding like a bowl of rice krispies. I must say it was making me nervous. We have never hired an electricion before so I didn't know who to pick. After seeing the reviews for Compass Electric on Angies list I decided to give them a call. Upon hearing of our problems of a faulty electrical panel and no power in our house he said he was booked up for a few weeks but he was willing to pull an all nighter that same night after he finished his day shift. Him and his assistant came over that evening after putting in a full days work and stayed untill 6:00 am the next morning installing a new sevice panel. That is what I call being professional and loyal to even first time customers. Yes it did cost a little extra for the all nighter but thats to be expected. I don't work extra hours for free so I can't expect others to.They used to top rated equipment so you know the quility will last. There were upgrades that were required for thr grounding system and those were also taken care of. I will put Compuss Electric at the top of my call list if I ever need an electrician in the future. The service was okay. They were nice and everything. I was not really crazy about the fan they put in, but we did not really have a choice. It was fine. There were no extra charges to the Big Deal. There were no unexpected issues.

Matt came by the week before and gave me an estimate for the work I needed done. His bid was very reasonable, compared to the 2 other bids I'd gotten. He looked at his schedule and arranged to get my work done the following week. Since the colder weather was fast approaching, I was very grateful for this. Matt and crew arrived on time and went right to work. They were very professional and got the work done quickly. I am very happy with his work and have already told friends about Compass Electric. Had trouble with what I originally thought was one of the outlets. Matt had a worker come back the very same day to trouble shoot. Discovered it was not the outlet but my microwave that was faulty. Matt has been exceptionally willing to help and solve all my electrical problems. It's nice to know I have someone I can rely on when it comes to electrical work.

Provider contacted me after purchase of deal. Prior commitments prevented a mutually agreeable time to perform service. Appreciated quick response from provider so I can look elsewhere. Need refund of deal.

I thought the price for 2 electric outlets was very high, 250.00....

Matt was fabulous! Very professinal, timely and saved me alot of money. He was polite and efficient and would definitely use him again! I higly recommended him and his company. He was able to assess my probelm quickly and explained all details to me and my husband.

The only good thing about Matt is his punctuality of being on time. After reading all his good reviews decided to get a quote for my hot tub installation. Matt gave me a quote over the phone said it would be about $800 but I insisted he come out and take a look even though our hot tub had not arrived. Upon his look at the area he said it would be $1000 if he ran the wiring on the outside of the house. Said it would take about 8 hrs and two men to do it to run about 50 ft of wiring. He also had the idea about running it underneath the house in the crawl space so the wires would not be seen said he could do that for $1200. I clearly asked him does that include everything and he told me yes. Said when I get the hot tub delivered call him and he can hook it up. Hot tub finally arrived and I gave Matt a call. Since he did not give a written quote he said he would do that before he started the job. We talked about the price over the phone and we discussed the two prices told him I wanted it wired outside since it was the cheapest method. Well my husband stayed home that day and he never did a written quote before he started the work but handed the quote after completion. $1452 was the price for outside installation which was $252 more then the highest price he quoted previously for wiring it under the house!!!! $452 more then the original quote he estimated for the outside wiring. My husband paid him he didn't know what to do.He also charged us for 6 hours of work and come to find out he disappeared for an hour and left his assistant alone my husband said. Messaged Matt when my husband told me they were done and I was mad. Told Matt I'm disappointed in his service that he quoted one price and it was completely different. Matt replied back and said he doesn't know why his original quote was so low and he initially thought it would take 8 hrs but they completed it within 6 hrs. So why was I charged more for less hours then he originally quoted me on top of him disappearing for an hour when they have everything they need in their van. He also said that his was sorry for the mis communication and that if he would of wrote down the quote then this would of never been an issue. After that no response from him. Our fault was not making sure he gave a written quote before starting work but apparently it takes a piece of paper for him to be honest. Make matters worse the city inspector came out today to check Matt and his assistants work and the inspector said we could of been electricuted. The neutral wire was installed On the wrong post. The inspector fixed it himself so we wouldn't have to be an electrical hazard since theirs water in the tub. Thanks to the inspector it's safe now. I would not recommend Matt or his company to do any major work especially a hot tub and just know he won't honor his quote unless it's in writing.

He was on time. Installed it and was gone in about 15 minutes. The unit appears to be working fine since during the big windstorm over the weekend made our light blink enough to turn off our TV but it turned back on and no harm to the other electrical equipment.

The service went well. I had them come out for some electrical repairs. They had to troubleshoot the issues. They did exactly what the deal stated. They completed the job in about 90 minutes. They did the work at a tenant’s location. The staff was prompt and took care of the problem. I had no difficulties scheduling the deal.

If I could give Matt from Compass Electric higher than an A on responsiveness, I would. His responses to my inquiries were almost instantaneous. He came out when he said he would (in fact even called to let me know he could be at my house earlier than the small window he had provided previously). He and his assistant/co-worker were both pleasant and knowledgeable and were willing to work with me to meet my needs. I was looking to have a 30-amp breaker and room for more in my existing panel. As a result of my requirements a sub-panel was required. The location made the subpanel more difficult than a normal installation job, but the guys ended up surface mounting it to the main panel, which allows me to run conduit directly to the unit rather than fishing the wires through the drywall. As a follow up, I've asked this company to come back to take a look at some other electric dilemmas, and again their responsiveness was superior. Thanks Matt.

came on time. I had 3 small jobs. He did two of them but the third he determined that it was a falty fixture, which actually solved the problem after I bought a new one.

Matt came on time, worked with us really well, was patient when we got a heater that was the wrong size, but he installed it anyway.( We need to fix the wall board on our own.) He work on the electrical panel for quite some time and said that it was a short outside in the yard somewhere. Anyway, he spent more than two hours and was a nice and helpful as you can ever want.
