Description of Work: A few years back I was presented with a small leak in my roof. At the time I was doing a remodel on my bathroom and asked my contractor for a suggestion on who could come out and take a quick look. He recommended EDCA Roofing. They came out in less than a few hours, spent around 45 minutues identifying where the leak was and applied some metal flashing under a few shingles to stop the leak. I wasn't sure it would work but the guy who game out felt pretty good. Bottom line, the leak stopped and the biggest surprise, he didn't even charge me! So fast forward 3 years and I gave EDCA a call for a bid on my roof. The owner Camilo Zambrano came out and spent about an hour sizing up my roof and explaining all the options. There was an upgraded composite shingle I was thinking about but given my roof pitch, Camilo educated me on why that might not be the best shingle for the job. These guys are experts, you can pay less I'm sure but you get what you pay for. If you are putting on a 30 or 40 year product, it makes sense to do it right the first time and not have surprises 5 or 10 years down the line. I am going to have EDCA look at one a rental house I own and get his opinion if that roof is do The bid process happened all online, pictures included. He left me tile samples to browse. Every question I had, he had a good answer for Camilo and his brother at EDCA know the roofing space and have been doing it for a number years (since 1988) The Job: It took about 5 days with some bad weather. The guys were there every day at 8am and worked until dark. The work place was cleaned up everynight and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. He took off an old ceder shake roof, put down 1/2" plywood and we went with Landmark Tri Laminate TL from Certainteed, One Layer #30 ASTM Felt, 50 yr Lifetime on shingle, replaced base flashing on chimney, removed old style vents and installed ridge vents throughout roof, new W metal valleys. If you are getting bids, you should give them a call. You have nothing to lose.

+ 0 moreIt went well. The crew was punctual, arriving first thing in the morning. Their trucks and equipment were clean and orderly. The guys were polite and friendly. They didn't overcharge us for extensive dryrot repairs. Other than an initial delay in the roofing product arriving everything went very smoothly. We had one small problem area after the roof was finished, but they were over quickly to fit it.
Description of Work: EDCA replaced our leaking flat roof, added extra insulation and repaired dry-rot.

+ 1 moreExcellent. Camilo was punctual and professional in his estimate and followed-through on details as we negotiated the initial contract. The work was performed quickly and cleanly. The crew was professional and kept us apprised as to progress. Clean-up was very good. Communication was very important to us - we were quite happy with the process and customer care provided.
Description of Work: Removed tile roof (including haul and clean-up). Reinforced torch-down built-in gutter system. Removed and replaced skylights. Added continuous venting along roof ridge. Reroofed with composition shingles.

+ -1 moreEverything went very well. The estimating response was prompt, and discussion of how the job would be done were right on target. There were a couple of unique areas on the roof which were addressed with a sound approach to correct a prior water back-up area. The job was started when promised, the crew was professional, and everything was cleaned up on a regular basis. The finished job looks great.
Description of Work: Removed old shake roof and took all old materials away from the site. Installed plywood, felt sheathing, and new composition shingles.

+ -1 moreCamillo is a professional, very nice, always a pleasure to talk to. The team was always on time, and worked late into the evening to get our roof done quickly. Our old roof (which was only a few years old) used to leak frequently in the rainy season, but our new roof from EDCA did not leak once last winter, and we had some pretty serious rain! The seams on the roof are almost undetectable, which is important since our house is lower than the street. They configured the overlap on the seams perfectly.
Description of Work: Tore off existing leaking torch down modified bitumen roofing and replaced with new torch down roofing. Added five inch foam insulation. Reconfigured clerestory windows that would have been lower than newly installed roof after insulation added. Roof square footage probably about 2000 sq ft, relatively low slope. Installed two new skylights.
