9 years ago a friend recommended this shop as guys I could trust to do a good job without being taken advantage of. Although the shop was about a 30 minute drive from my home in Federal Way, I went ahead and gave them a try. 9 years later and I couldn't be happier. They have worked on 4 different cars during this time period (2 Hondas, a Lexus and a Plymouth Van) and I've always gotten honest advice and a quality job. When I first started going, I thought the shop rate was higher than some "bargain" shops but soon came to realize that this was really the best deal. They always did the job right from routine maintenance to major repairs and I didn't have to go back multiple times for the same problem which saved both time and money. They never tried to pressure me into work by declaring an "emergency" for everything they found. Instead they simply let me know something was coming up and how much it would be. I've recommended these guys to several of my friends and family members since starting to use them and I've never heard of any of them having an experience different from mine.

I almost hate to tell people how great this little shop is. You know when people find out it will be difficult to get an appointment, but they deserve the recognition. I have thirty years of experience with mechanics and know how hard it is to not only to find someone who really knows their stuff but actually has ETHICS. After sitting in the office on several occasions waiting for an oil change I am so impressed with the caliber of these guys, Dave in particular. Hard to find mechanics that care about people, feel bad when someone is having difficulty affording repairs, and really go the extra mile. We have three cars with two being over 15 years old. They need a good amount of work once in awhile and after five years of working with Midland we wont go anywhere else.
Your not paying for a bunch of fancy advertising, a monster facility with a luxurious lobby and a receptionist. These are down home guys who love what they do and do a fabulous job at taking care of your car at the most affordable prices I have ever seen.

There are several things I like about Midland Automotive. They are seemingly pretty thorough in their work. They're pretty good at following a schedule. Most of the other auto repair places don't run on a schedule very well. Their prices are mid-range. They're not the cheapest nor the most expensive. They're good at going over what it's going to cost and then you go from there.
