I have waited a month to write this review as I did not want to seem like an angry woman - but I am. I liked Drew the one who gave an estimate. The installers were nice but I could not communicate or ask questions as we did not speak the same language. So I would send my questions to the project manager and he would respond. By that time they had done something I had not wanted. The project was to be James Hardy but then I was told no baked on color for soffits and fascia? so it needed painting. Nice guys but really poor job..my 70+ year old husband ended up on scaffolding and doing the painting!! We had put 60% down and then the owner demanded - on the phone - the balance...I still had a mess everywhere. When I said not until done - he got mean and bulling to the point I was in tears and handed the phone to my husband. We ended up paying before job done with landscaping destroyed, deck damaged screens on window damaged and no way to have them fix when they were paid. Love the look of the James Hardy siding, liked the online portal (the workers did not post ) but I could send concerns. We spent the last 4 weeks repairing and trying to fix the mess left. I would not recommend the company! The owner was unkind and abusive - would never work with him again! project manager travis - good to work with but his apology was not enough to fix the problem. Should have done with one of the other 5 estimates I got.

"In the 20+ years, I have been doing this, I have to say that this is one of the oddest situations that I have run into. The only reason that I even called you in the first place was that you told your project manager that you did not want to give the lead installer a check to pay for the project because you, " did not know him". That did not make sense, so I simply called to reassure you that it was ok to give him the check because he works for us. The first thing you said was how amazing the project had gone. For some reason, you then became very upset when I asked you to release the check to the lead installer. As for the rest of these statements against my company quality of work. Shame on you for lying about us. I posted the pictures of your home on the day we completed the project on our page. They show the condition that the home was on the day we completed as well as the completed painting. These were all posted on the day of completion on your customer portal page as well. I would also point out another important fact. Just because some of our crew members may not have the same color of skin as you or speak English as a first language, does not mean that they do not have feelings. I would urge some more respect when you are dealing with people that are different than you."

Jim our project manager over at Evergreen really impressed me with how he and his team used Buildertrend to keep me fully informed and up to date throughout the project. On April 28,2021 I contracted with Evergreen Home Exteriors to tear down and rebuild my deck I put down $ 24,034. As a fifty percent down payment in order to secure a scheduled work start in ten weeks (July 7,2021) Evergreen did not schedule me but told the salesman to tell me they wanted an additional $5ooo. He said it had to do with the price of materials. I said no, I want to cancel, send back my money. Another individual identifying himself as a project manager at the company told me it wasn t materials at all, just that the job was under bid. I said no, I want to cancel send back my money. There was no response to my requests. The job started Aug 4 th and was red tagged by the county on Aug 6th for lack of permit. (the salesman had given a yes answer when I asked about a permit). Damage to the house had occurred, cracks in walls, sliding door askew at an angle. Many more delays and painful mis communications. Including refusing to disclose to me complete justification of expenses on a $10,763. Change order. Still unresolved. The build resumed on Nov. 17 th and was completed Dec. 17 th . The carpenters, Richard, John, and Matt were excellent, precise and worked in cold and rainy conditions. A fine deck was built. Aside from the end product, I would NOT recommend Evergreen Home Exteriors It was a nerve wracking experience.

"Grace, after 2 months of asking you to make a complete deposit. You NEVER did. Then tried to get out of paying us at the end of the project and are still trying to get out of paying for your project. None of what you are saying is even remotely true. We did not damage any part of your house and fixed all of the "damage" that you claimed we did anyway. If any other business owners are reading this, BE WARNED, that this person is dishonest and will attempt anything possible to avoid paying for the work that you do."

We hired this company for deck vinyl resurfacing. From the time we put down the deposit until completion, it took 9 months to complete, way too long. Granted that some of the delay was related to weather and restrictions in winter time, but the lack of communication and multiple communication break downs were painful. There was tremendous turn over in the company and ended up dealing with 6-7 project managers. The actual vinyl install was subcontracted to another company, and from demo, framing, vinyl install and final completion, each step took multiple weeks to complete with multiple gaps when no one would show up, requiring multiple phone calls and ignored voice messages until finally someone responded. The crew working for the company were great and professional, but we sensed that the company had major administrative issues. We would not work with this company again.

"You had one project manager. Again, you had framing issues and refused to pay to get the deck reframed as recommended. We did the recovery that you paid for, and all of your own attorneys you tried to hire, even agreed! When that failed now, you are harassing us online? Wouldn't it make more sense to just go with the recommended fix? We have built decks for a long time. If we tell you that you need new framing, it might not be what you want to hear but we will always tell you the truth, not just what you want to hear. We wish you the best."

We are 100% satisfied with our deck. We greatly appreciate the professionalism of Ron in leading the construction effort. He overcame challenges, like the need to reinforce the concrete under the patio that would be attached to the deck. The structural integrity is far better than our prior deck and we are very happy about the way the new deck is attached to our house because it is much stronger and more visually appealing than the last deck. The overall appearance of the deck exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with the attention to detail. We asked for some special features and they were executed beautifully. We are very happy with our beautiful deck, thank you!

UPDATE - I would avoid this company at all costs. The work eventually finished, but the Owner refused to honor his project managers promise to negotiate a lower price based on the improper window install (that we had to pay someone else to fix because it was on the critical path). In response to our prior negative review, The owner left a voicemail and sent an email threatening us with a slander suit.

"You did not pay anyone to finish anything we were contracted to do. There was a simple window adjustment that had to be made and it was made by our window installer. RE the **Finally finished** comment that most of our customers have been very understanding about the supply chain issues going on right now. You ordered a metal roof it took longer to get the materials than you wanted. Being rude to your project managers did not help at all. In the future, I would recommend treating people with a little bit more respect. It is unfortunate that I had to rely on legal help to keep you from lying about the company but at least you cleaned it up and got semi"

We've hired Evergreen in the past and they did a fantastic job at a reasonable price on our windows. We have a much larger, more immediate job that needs to be done and Jeff has been working very hard to get us the best deal. We know that we'll get an outstanding job for our money. I cannot recommend Evergreen highly enough.

After some delay due to the pandemic, the deck project was completed within three days. Zack and his team (Travis and Conner) were attentive to details and receptive to my concerns. I was impressed with both their strong work ethic and their craftsmanship. I couldn't be happier with my new deck.

The onsite crew of Jason and Daniel were great and quite professional in their approach being both cognizant and respectful of the pandemic and our concerns. The deck was done professionally and looks great, with the crew leaving the area spotless. I mostly received what I paid for. However, like another customer, I was shocked at the very poor, and I mean poor, front end assessment and communications. Despite the pandemic, I dropped over $9k as a deposit on my project and then heard crickets, not even the builder app they said to use was updated often enough by them with quality data. I was a program manager with US Navy for 30 years, this kind of communication void is total crap in business. It was supposed to be a few day job. I just saw the Sanican parked in my driveway - a view my neighborhood did not like after it had been there for 3 weeks. The huge construction dumpster is still eating half of my driveway and the job ended two days ago. The crew had to make adjustments on the fly as the obese estimator they used fat-fingered my order so the crew spent half of their time having to run to the local hardware store to get parts. As a government employee entrusted with the Peoples monies I always gave full disclosure and never let my depots not have the parts and tools they needed BEFORE enacting a job and had full disclosure documentation of all parts, labor, and issues available to the customer at any time. I had only assumed that commercial businesses practiced those same tenets. GREAT crew, crappy management that is ineffective in communication and logistics that ARE within their control. I would reluctantly use them again - if the factors I have identified were addressed.

We hired Evergreen to replace all our windows and patio door and paid upfront. Two mistakes right there. They promised installation within the month, with 2 visits. It took 4 months and 6 visits because - They made big mistakes - like installing the door backward and forgetting the dog door. - Their internal communications are a disaster - the left-hand does not know what the right hand is doing. - They provided no receipt for a year - until PSE managed to get it from them. - The workers left a mess. - Very high employee turnover, even at the manager level. - Some windows were missing handles. - Frames/sills were replaced by unskilled people. Marred, unfinished wood inside, and mismatched. Poorly sealed outside. We had to hire another guy to fix them for over $2,000. The windows are basically ok (except for the frames/sill), but the process was a nightmare.

If I had heard of your abuse sooner, I would have terminated the contract. I would highly recommend treating people with more respect in the future. We strive to give our customers the best experience and we work very hard to do that. We expect a certain level of courtesy in return. As far as the rest of this review. I had an estimator from Evergreen come out and take initial measurements and we agreed what needed to be done. Repair a damaged wall on a house extension, add siding to the entire extension and repair some damaged shingles on the main house. After the estimator took his final measurements and gave me an estimate we agreed on a price, I electronically signed a contract and gave them a down payment. I shook hands with the estimator as men do and he told me I would be happy with the work. The problem was he underestimated the materials needed. The project manager who has never visited the site added nothing but confusion during the project regarding the repair to the damaged wall and leaving out one wall from being sided. Even the installers and lead man were surprised. Why would you leave one wall without siding? Makes no sense right? So now, the projector manager wants more money and the estimator denies the wall should be included. He says they have used all the material listed in the contract and now I have to pay to finish the project. Even if I had read the entire contract I would not know how much material was required. I tried explaining this to the project manager (who never saw the house) and he just said if they had to order more material I would have to pay more and if I did not pay the final balance he would see me in court. First off, I never said I would not pay the balance and I think he lost his cool because he knows they screwed up. The installers and the on-site lead did great and I feel bad because they got caught up in the ineptitude of the estimator and project manager.
