Ben's Appliance Service

Ben was responsive and professional, a wonderful independent service provider. He's interested in helping clients keep good appliances going, regardless of the equipment's age. And, he's also available for consultation when time comes to replace appliances.

Ben is great! Ben and his wife are a great team. When Ben needed a unique part, he contacted his wife who brought the part to the house. Ben knows my washer and dryer inside and out and fixes the problem correctly and timely.

I don't know who my wife had do the appliance repair but they did a fine job. It probably was Ben's Appliance Service. Basically they got here right on time and they fixed the door, you can't really ask for anything more. There was no cost because I think that it was warrantied. Everything was fine. I would grade them 'A's across the board. They did a good job and they were on time.

He first came out diagnosed the problem. Had to get a part and came back later that day or the next day and installed it. Back in Business, instead of having to replace dishwasher or hand wash dishes. It was at a time, when I was laid up from major eye surgery from a detached retina and could not due my duties. I had to stay laying down 24 hours/day. Due to various the stages of the various illness of my folks, I had help coming in 24 hours a day. Having to add washing dishes. along with the increased loads of clothes was becoming taxing and all the other facets of Caregiving, I was glad Ben and his helper were able to fix it quickly. He explained the problem clearly and was very friendly and answered my questions. Would use again!

It went swimmingly. Sorry forget the details and cannot find the receipt at the moment. But Ben worked for my Sister, after I had an exceptional experience with him. It was one of her Kitchen Appliances that was acting up. Report from her was very positive.

I had Mr. Appliance out just one month before and got charged over $200, and it didn't even fix the problem. Ben was a master in his craft and knew what the problem was, replaced the part and had it all done in one day. Problem solved.

Great small family business. Ben does the repairs, his wife Elizabeth runs the office. Elizabeth was recovering from surgery, so the call back was not as fast as I had read in reviews, but certainly understandable. Elizabeth is probably the most pleasant phone person I've encountered in the repair industry. The motor was broken on the dryer. Ben was here on time and was very efficient in completing the job. What I really liked is that he found another issue that could cost me big bucks in the future, and pointed out I could take care of it with a simple part from Home Depot. That is a trust builder right there. I thought the price was fair, considering a motor replacement can be expensive. I will call again if I need him.

First off, I almost didn't write a review... Nobody wants a worker like this stolen from them. :) Answered my email same day I sent it and suggested I call for appointment. (I had described problem, what was tried and specifics like name, model and serial numbers.) When I called the next morning I was given an appoint. between 11-1, I was thrilled. He came promptly (photo is on Angies list) and was very polite and professional. Checked to make sure dryer was receiving proper voltage before opening it up. Described what he was doing, how he priced services and was easy to talk to while he worked. Even though I expected the heating element was the problem he politely showed me the old and new part. Popped it in and checked it. The cost of service was for the labor, part was 100.00, same if I bought myself.

We e-mailed our repair request through Angie's list. Ben replied right back and then called us. He asked us to perform several tasks on the dishwasher to make sure a repair call was really needed. We sure appreciated the fact that he was willing to help us trouble shoot before he even came out. We also sent him our dishwasher number so he could do some checking on his end before he came out. We arranged a time and Ben was on time and very thorough even trying to make a part last without replacing it. When he did decide to replace a part, he called his wife who brought the part right out and he was able to finish the service all in one call. I give him our highest rating and wouldn't go to anyone else! Ben is wise, honest and careful. He and his wife are a great team!! We love supporting local businesses like Ben's!

After calling Sears repair (where we purchased the fridge) and being told it would be a week before they could send a repairman, I searched on Angie's List for a local large appliance repairman. Ben's Appliance was number one on the list, and now I know why. I called Ben's mid-morning today and Ben's wife Elizabeth answered the phone. She listened to my problem and told me that Ben could make a service call this afternoon, and gave me a two hour window. I was both astonished and thrilled that the service could be scheduled so soon and so efficiently. Ben showed up right on schedule, immediately went to work on the fridge, and diagnosed the problem (a faulty relay) in about five minutes. He replaced the relay and adjusted the ice maker (which we had been having trouble with and so I asked him to look at it too) in about 15 minutes. It was the most expedient, efficient, and reasonably priced service call I have ever experienced. I highly recommend Ben's Appliance Service! Outstanding!

We called this family-owned business in the morning and was Ben was able to come to us by noon. His wife answers the phone and does the booking. Ben charges a flat rate, rather than an hour rate with a minimum, which saved us time and money. Very cheerful and professional/

Arrived on time. He was not only prompt, but friendly and professional. I will recommend to anyone that needs appliance services. I seldom write reviews, but felt I needed to this time!

He came on time and repaired what needed to repair and only took about half an hour. They are a family owned business. When I called the receptionist, she asked what the problem was and what is the model number. Then she suggested a possible way to fix it without the service man coming out. They are good on responding to our needs. We were just charged for the service call. It was a strange problem and he quickly did what needed to be done.

First, his wife is very knowledgeable and helpful when I called for an appointment. After giving her the model number of the appliance, she told me the date and time Ben could come, which was just two business days after my call. Ben showed up on time and was quick and personable.

We had him a couple of times. He spent like an hour trying to fix the problem and couldn’t repair it, so he didn’t charge us anything, which is unheard of these days. We had a problem with he dishwasher.

Ben arrived on time and went right to work. Completed the work quickly, was pleasant to deal with.

My 20 year old washer stopped working after years of perfect service. Based on Ben's very high scores I called him. I gave him the make and model so by the time he came out he knew what major parts were still available. The part I needed is not available. I will be getting a new machine soon. Ben offered to haul it away for no extra charge. I highly recommend Bens. He knows his stuff and treats you well.

I called Ben's Appliance about needing to fix my ice maker. I had the model and number available for the call. I had to leave a message and it was promptly returned. The work was scheduled and Ben arrived on time. Knowing the model of our refrigerator, he arrived with two possible ice makers that fit our model. Since it was a 1994 model no parts are available. Which one to use depended on which one was currently installed. On arrival he discussed the cost of the two possible parts and wanted to know if we wanted him to proceed. One part cost $119 and the other $159. Once he started he would know which one was needed. We told him to proceed. It turned out that we needed the $119 model. The swap out was done quickly and we are most satisfied. Ben is personable, on time and most importantly came with the parts he thought we needed. We highly recommend him.

Had issues with a relatively new Maytag dishwasher, it wasn't pre-heating the water, before washing. It turned out to be a wire had become disconnected and Ben had it reconnected in about 5 minutes. He also looked at a GE wall oven, that would shut down because the cooling fan wouldn't come on. He found that the temperature sensing unit was faulty and had to order a new one. He returned in two day and swapped out the faulty unit, and all seems to be working well now. We are very satisfied with all aspects his service, and will contact him again should we need his services. Good guy.

Our dryer quit heating so I called Ben's Appliance and explained the situation. They determined they could get parts for the appliance even though it was so old. They gave me a rough estimate of cost over the phone and made an appointment for less than 24-hours after I made the initial call. Ben arrived on time, determined the problem, fixed the heating element in his truck and reinstalled the part. He was out of here in under an hour. He is very professional and is also extremely nice. We will definitely call him again for any large appliance repair.

Ben is very personable and knows his work. He assured me that the repair would solve the problem and I would not need to set this one on the curb. I plan to call him for other appliance work. It was very easy to schedule an appointment within a week.

The wife diagnosed the issue over the phone and the husband and wife came out to perform the work. It went great. I thought my dryer was dead, but they were able to fix it simply. I recommend them and would use them again in the future, they are very pleasant people.
