"It’s truly unfortunate the situation we’ve found ourselves in. You accepted our estimate in early March with the schedule being roughly middle of May. We did however run behind schedule for reasons outside of our control. When we reached out late May to let you know we would be starting your project first week of June, you said that doesn’t work for you because you had other plans and would not be around for a few days and refused to grant us access to your property. We advised you that rescheduling would put us serval more weeks out as we had other projects already scheduled that we were not going to reschedule for your convenience. Our contract clearly states that we must be granted reasonably unrestricted access to the property and the structure to execute the scope of work, of which you refused because you didn’t feel comfortable with us performing work without you there for some reason, of which we advised that plenty of in progress pictures would be provided upon completion but you still did not accept that. I also advised you that it is clearly stated in our contract that Absolute Roofing cannot be held accountable for scheduling delays due to issues out of our control (refusing to grant onsite access). It was at this time you requested a refund and I advised you that I would process this refund per the contract of which you automatically entered by accepting and processing payment for the project deposit, which states on the very first line that if a refund is requested 72 hrs after accepting the estimate but not before work starts, that Absolute Roofing is entitled to 15% of the project. That’s how we got to where we are now. You may not like it but you agreed to it, when you hired Absolute Roofing. The 15% is for the amount of time and energy we have currently invested in the project prior to starting and is not a penalty."

"We're truly sorry you feel this way, It has been an unfortunate situation. We contracted with you to replace 3000 sq ft of metal roofing and ended up having to remove an additional 2700 sq ft of metal roofing in demo due to rot repair and replacing close to 20 sheets of decking, which was well documented. then we had a windstorm come in and remove a section of the roofing underlayment, causing water damage unfortunately, we offered to cover the water damage which was only 8-10 sheets of drywall, insulation, carpet, until your contractor sent us an estimate for $23,000, for what should be $2,500 worth of material and less than a week work for 2 guys. tensions got high and we offered you a refund of which you accepted, and to still take care of the water damage ourselves. However right before I could give you the refund you refused after we had already altered our schedule prioritizing our attention to already scheduled projects. If you're going to leave us a review, the least you could do is make it accurate and truthful."
