We had a verbal agreement on the property 1466 Magnolia Blvd W Seattle WA with our Reator and Tom Wilbanks (listing agent). We agreed to everything that he stated his customer wanted to see in the deal. We wrote and submitted the offer for the final signatures. We heard nothing for hours, and were told the deal was done and it would be sent asap. Hours went by and nothing. Our realtor finally got ahold of Tom, and Tom told him that he was waiting till after the open house because he thought there might be a better offer coming in, and not to tell us that this was the reason why he was delaying. Our realtor called and told us this, when I called to ask why the verbal agreement was not being honored, he was very rude and hung up on me. This is no way to conduct business. I would highly recommend not doing business with Tom, or anyone who employ's him. Very unethical.

The sale went great and I owe it all to Ann. Because I was guardian for my sister's estate I had to get approval from the court before the house could be listed. That meant lawyers and a lot of paperwork. The real estate agent has to handle a lot of that paperwork and Ann was on top of it even to the point of hand delivering documents to my lawyers office. She regularly kept me up to date through e-mail and by phone.
When it came time to sell the house and several flaws were found by the inspector, Ann sought out the people to do the work. She then scanned and e-mailed the job quotes to me in Indiana where I was able to make my choice. She also scheduled and met the workers at the house to let them in. You can't imagine my appreciation. It definitely saved me a couple of trips to Shoreline to have to do those things myself. She was there every step of the way all the way to closing.
I could go on, but I think you have an idea of how great a real estate agent Ann Hovik is and how happy I am I called Windermere.
If you're selling your house in the Shoreline Washington area you couldn't go wrong by giving them a call. And if you're lucky maybe Ann will answer.

I worked with Pieter for at least six months to find the townhouse I am living in today. I lived in Kitsap County but was searching for homes on the North End of Seattle, which is Pieter's specialty. However, we determined that West Seattle or South Seattle would be better for me, and he never seemed to mind meeting me so far away from his base. He would often meet me at the house after I had taken the bus there, then give me a ride back to downtown Seattle or the ferry, which was incredibly helpful. We went out on a couple of Saturdays to tour houses as part of a "Real Estate 101," in which I learned that the houses I was wanted were out of my reach or too labor-intensive. He then made sure I had my financials squared away and we were off to the races ... the slow races, I guess, of many months of searching. He was critical of many of the houses and some of them we just didn't go see. At first I was skeptical of this, but then when we went to see the houses I had "found" online, which he hadn't previewed, they were often incredibly sketchy and I came to appreciate his opinion of the houses before we wasted our time with shacks. I did end up putting an offer on a house that did not go through ... after the inspection, which was very thorough, I decided I could not quite handle the level of work that house would need. I then called him, from across the country where I was on vacation, to say I wanted to put an offer on the house I eventually bought. And so we did. Because this house was in such great condition we didn't have much wiggle room for negotiating, which was disappointing, but the quality of the house offset that. And despite my loan falling through just days before closing, Pieter helped me juggle different loan officers to finally get a loan that worked for me and my situation. I am living in the townhouse and loving it. I would recommend Pieter to any first-time homebuyer, and probably any homebuyer. He was easy to work with, professional yet friendly, and very accommodating with someone who had no idea what she was doing!

Barbara is very thorough. She works hard and is just very good at what she does. I have been very pleased with her and I would highly recommend her for real estate assistance purposes. She has a real nice way about her. Her attention to detail is of great help when trying to either sell a home or to find a home. I was just real impressed with her in every respect.
