I own a 1200 square foot lower duplex unit that I?ve been renting out since April of last year.  In that time I?ve had the unit cleaned numerous times by various cleaning companies, in addition to having to clean it myself on occasion.  On average it takes approximately 3-3.5 hours to clean (which I explained to the owner), because we don?t use that living area and once the previous guest leaves they are required to pick up after their selves and strip the beds.  In other words, for me, time is money so I pretty much have the process down to a calculated science by now.  

When I see Big Deals I like to try different Angies List cleaning providers because sometimes I get a last minute rental and my normal cleaning providers aren?t available so it?s better to have more on call than not enough.  And that?s why I tried THA Cleaning.  

 In summary, I purchase the Cleaning Service for a day that she was offering (8 hours of cleaning), and went with 2 cleaners at 4 hours each.  Scheduling was easy and to their credit they showed up, and on time.  When they arrived I allowed them into the duplex, gave them my required Cleaning Sheet that details exactly what needs to be done (it details no more, no less than the work needing to be done since I too am evaluated by my customers) and told the two ladies that once they were done they?ll also be cleaning the upstairs unit where I lived.  Since it was 8am I went back upstairs to finish sleeping.  I ended up over sleeping by accident and didn?t wake up until 11am, only to find that the cleaners were still cleaning the lower unit?the equivalent of 6 hours of cleaning; and one of them was outside slowly cleaning the windows which I had not requested, which immediately made me realize not only had they not followed the Cleaning Sheet I had provided, they were doing it at a slow pace.  When I asked the cleaner why is it taking so long, she simply said we just finished and were about to come upstairs.  Obviously, I?m fuming at this point knowing that it shouldn?t have taken so long, but still was willing to give them a try because I still had 2 hours left on my deal.  When I showed them the upstairs, she said it would take more than the 2 hours remaining (and rightfully so) and that I?d need to purchase another 8 hours.  But upon hearing that, and already seeing how untrustworthy they are to be left unsupervised?I simply said forget it, you can leave when you?re done downstairs, because I had to leave the house at this point and their lack of ?integrity? didn?t make me feel comfortable leaving them in my house alone any longer.  
To make matters worse, when they finished cleaning the lower unit, they simply left without saying a word, or even giving me the opportunity to inspect their cleaning.  Completely UNPROFESSIONAL FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK!  

 But that isn?t even the worst part.  Even with all of that I was going to give the business owner a chance to remedy the problem because from my cleaning service experience thus far I also realize that sometimes, the people they hire don?t always represent the owners work ethic or integrity, so as a fellow business owner I will call the owner first and bring the problem to their attention for both of our sakes.  Once again, as a fellow business owner I understand how hard it is to get started and manage everyone, and what the ramifications of a bad review will be, so I try to avoid giving them if at all possible; in fact, if the service is just so-so, I?m more inclined to simply not leave a review.  However, when I called the owner, all she did was defend the actions of her cleaners by saying that it was going to take longer than 2 hours to clean the upstairs unit, however, the ?real problem? I was trying to bring to her attention was that her cleaners took 6 hours to do a 3 hour job.  And even though she wasn?t here, all she kept saying was that my cleaners work fast and if it took 6 hours it needed 6 hours.  Once again, completely unprofessional.  Most businesses die trying to get VOC (Voice of the Customer) information in order to improve their business and make sure that customers are satisfied; it?s exactly why reviews are such a big part of Angies List. But, when the owner refuses to listen to a customer that actually takes time to contact them, or not objectively analyze the problem, they will be completely incompetent business owners?and the people they hire will also reflect that.  Which is 100% the case with this company.  And this type of detailed negative review and rating is the result.   THA House Cleaning?anyone can start a company, but not everyone knows how to do that while providing professional service?and you have definitely not learned that and why I?m giving you a bad review and an F! And before you even think of asking, no, I don?t want to try your service again.         

Ironically, your response actually summarized the entire problem.

When you say, "Client used lots of companies in past and it never took so long.  Again sorry we do thorough cleaning not surface cleaning...It is big difference in result and time."  --   Well, for future reference if a customer provides you with THEIR [TIMED] CUSTOMIZED CLEANING LIST, you follow THEIR LIST--even if you and your team feel it will result in just a surface cleaning (there may be a specific reason why the customer only wants a surface cleaning as was my case, and if I would've had a problem with the level of cleaning you did at my request all you would've had to say was, "This is what you asked for" ). Instead, because of your lack of professionalism you continue to justify the needless extra cleaning your team did even though I had no use for that cleaning!  As a result, instead of providing a service that was of VALUE TO ME, they ended up WASTING MY TIME.  For example, they cleaned the exterior windows, and yet I have a professional window cleaner for that.  

Lastly, I didn't mention the car incident in my review intentionally, because later in the day I learned your team had nothing to do with it.  However, that incident had nothing to do with the bad review I left your company--once again that's why I didn't bring it up.     

It's fine. They do a pretty good job. I would give them a 4 out of 5 stars. I paid extra because they did additional hours for me. It got to be very, very spendy. For the amount of money I paid, it should have looked way better. They're very kind and very nice people. They're hard workers. It just wasn't to my standard. They came here pretty quick.

House was in pretty bad shape having been neglected for a couple years. The house cleaner really knew what she was doing, was methodical, pleasant, and didn't take any shortcuts.  My house looks and smells really clean.

The THA team (2 people) arrived on time and worked hard all day.  They did a great job of cleaning the house.  The owner of the business had given me an approximate quote for the job but the final bill was almost double that, which led to my low rating on price. 

They sent two people out for four hours to deep clean my entire house for Christmas. They were very nice and did an excellent job. They also checked with me at the end to make sure they did everything to my specification.

I was very pleased with THA House Cleaning.  It was right before Christmas so she had only one person to send out.  That person did a great job of cleaning the kitchen, the bathrooms and bedroom and floors.  I have sometimes not been happy with the vacuuming by other services.  This cleaner did a great job.

She did a great job in some places -- the stove, the floors -- and less ideal in others. I'm sure she worked hard and it just wasn't enough time for 1 person. I thought it was very pricey for 1 person.

My house was cleaned from stem to stern in four hours (including the garage). My house showed the following day, and it looked fantastic. I'd recommend them to anybody, and will hire them again.
