Seattle Superior Waterproofing

There was no problem getting them here. They showed up on time, but they weren't prepared to do the job. They just couldn’t do the job; the guy was too big. I was kind of surprised when he said he usually didn’t take crawlspace jobs. I called up and made an appointment for them to come here. I had already paid for it; there was no need for a quote. With regard to responsiveness and punctuality, they were fine.

He was very good and professional.  He was honest and let us know we didn't need any work done.

Told me nothing was broken and how to simply fix the problem myself.  He didn't charge for his time.  He was an honest guy.

They were supposed to come out and evaluate. His solutions didn't seem to fit my problems and I felt that he was not very professional.

Galen called to let me know that he was running ahead of schedule- he came early and spent 20 minutes inspecting the crawlspace and exterior of my house. He provided information on updating the vapor barrier but also noted that it met code and did not require urgent updating.  He noted a single drain in my backyard that could use a mesh vent to prevent leaves from clogging it.  This was well worth the $49 for the peace of mind knowing that my foundation was in great shape!

There was a mix-up on the date and the provider didn't show up. When I called, they told me he was running late and would be there in a couple of hours. They thought I was the person they had scheduled when they gave me this info. I finally called back again and said that I didn't think I was on the schedule. Turns out that I was right. Somehow my appointment was never written down. The owner was really nice about it and felt very bad about the mistake. He worked me in the next day and offered me a discount. Very nice people.

The guy that came out inspected the basement for signs of water damage and looked around the outside and foundation, gave me advice on how to deal with storm water and suggested looking into new gutters and downspouts

I did not have any services performed The work I was requesting is beyond the scope of what they do. They have recommended I contact a structural engineer instead. Very nice on the phone.

No repairs but the inspection was very valuable: explained to me how moisture was entering my basement. I'm a a smart guy but I didn't understand the subtleties. They were able to show me clues to help me understand.

I was expecting a more personal response in email (versus "call Galen to schedule an appointment" but I can see how selling a lot of these deals could make it difficult to read the requested dates of service. Also I read a lot of the reviews on this provider and realized what they were offering would not work for me.

After speaking to the owner about my water issues it was decided this was not the type of water-leakage inspection service I was looking for. He suggested contacting a plumber or someone that can determine wood-rot damage.

He said my problem could not be fixed by him after he looked at the leak. He said I need a plumber that can fix a broken pipe. He requested I ask for a refund.

It smelled as if there was water leaking in my basement but I could not find the water. When I informed Seattle Superior Waterproofing about this, they told me If they can’t see water, then they won’t come. He then gave me helpful advice on what to do what I think there is a leak.  This was a misunderstanding of the deal on my part and Seattle Superior Waterproofing made it very clear on the jobs they perform.

Contacted Seattle Superior Waterproofing and described the location of the work. They stated they cannot work that deep below grade due to safety issues and suggested I request a refund of the Big Deal.

He stayed about 30 minutes and explained water proofing options.  We had water in the basement last year (small amount during heavy rains) but have since replaced the gutters.  He was fair and stated that with the new gutters we should wait a year to see if we still have an issue.  He was helpful but it wasn't much of a deal as the information was mostly generic and it was a very quick review.

The individual confirmed what others had told us, the crack was not structurally a problem  He further told us how much he would charge to fix it and that he would have to dig a large hole in our concrete driveway to do it properly.  He told us how we could patch the crack ourselves to prevent moisture entering the crack. 

We really appreciated his honesty.  The company sent someone out promptly. We would call them again if we needed work done.
