Description of Work: Installed a drainage system in my basement. This included demo of the pre-existing subfloor.

Description of Work: We have multiple critters that have burrowed under our house for some time now. I thought it would be worthwhile to have the foundation inspected. After discussion over the phone, the service provider said that their foundation inspection really only involves concerns for leaks. And they said this coupon mainly concerned inspection of unfinished basements; our basement is finished, we can easily walk the entire length of it, and there are no leaks. Thus, both we and the provider felt like this Big Deal was not applicable. They were very nice. I think it was just a misunderstanding.

Description of Work: I talked on 8/7 with Galen Maier (206) 781-1555, from Seattle Superior Waterproofing; he says we do not need the kind of service his company provides and advised me to contact Angie's List for refund of the $49.00.

Description of Work: The last two questions: 1) Not yet, and 2) maybe sometime in June if I hire the company. I discovered from the owner of the company that the coupon offering was driven by Angieslist, and really there is little more offered with coupon redemptionthan what is typically provided by a typical job estimate. If I were a beting man, I'd bet that Angies list has a financial stake in "Big Deal Offerings", which I don't have a problem understanding per se, though lets be clear about what is actually offered. If the Big Deal items are pretty much covered in a free estimate, and if the proceeds from the sale of a "Big Deal" coupon do not all go to the company representing the service products, then please don't present me with a misleading Big Deal coupon. I have previously benefited from another vendor's coupon offering, but it was for the entire service such as an 89 dollar chimney cleaning, and not something that overlaps with items that are already provided during a routine job estimate. Thanks for letting me air that out. I'm still very impressed with Angieslist overall even though I hold Angieslist partially responsible for this little hiccup and thank you sincerely for taking responsibility and providing a full refund.

Description of Work: I did not actually go with this company as my handyman said he would do the job for less. That was a mistake. The price I was quoted by Seattle Waterproofing was exceptionally reasonable and I will call them in the future for sure!

Description of Work: I had purchased an Angie's Big Deal to have my crawlspace checked for leaks. When I called to make an appointment, Galen was very prompt in returning my call, and he made an appointment to come out within the next couple of days. He checked the whole crawlspace thoroughly, and he assured us that the space required no major work. He gave helpful suggestions as to how we can prevent water pooling in the crawlspace, things we can do ourselves for cheap. Galen was thoroughly professional in the whole experience. We will absolutely use the company again!

Description of Work: I canceled it and used a certified structure engineer instead, therefore I'm unable to provide feedback on the service. But he sounded nice and forthcoming when I spoke with him on the phone, and was certainly professional.

Description of Work: there was an inspection of the basement and reviewed the periodic water issues, a plan of the area was made and a detailed list of work to be performed to address the isses along with an estimate--decided not to procede at this time. He was on time,polite and informative. If I do procede with the work, would consider this company but would be obtaining at least on other bid.

The rep from Seattle Superior Waterproofing listened and asked pertinent questions and then let me know it was not the kind of work they do. I was impressed that he took a good amount of time to talk to me and give me advice about what we should do, even though it was not a job he was going to take. I contacted Angie's List and got a refund for the Big Deal since it was not a job the company could do.
