A journeyman plumber and his assistant arrived during the appointed time period. They unplugged the sinks, cleaned up and recommended a tool to be used in the future.

I would like to submit an update to my review of O'Neill Plumbing on April 8, 2019. After submitting my review, Tim O'Neill called me to make this situation right. He offered to send someone out to install my kitchen sink faucet at no charge, but I had already made arrangements with another plumber. Instead, he refunded me the cost of the cartridge and installation, which never solved the problem originally. It's disappointing this situation went to this extent, but in the end, Mr. O'Neill did the right thing and I feel as though I was made whole, so I wanted to send an update to my original review.

Please note this company charges a $70 charge just for a quote. they do reimburse if you go with them. And it will take them a month to come out and give the quote.

The servicemen, John & Mike, were extremely professional. They were thorough, efficient and easy to work with. They assessed the problem, analyzed possible solutions and completed the job with great care and quality. They were very clean while working in the basement bathroom took care to clean up after the work was performed. They explained everything they were doing and were very thorough. O'Neill Plumbing will definitely be my Go-To plumbing provider in the future.

Bobby was extremely pleasant and patient. Quickly determined the problem. After contacting a crawl space cleaning company, after rodent issue was resolved, was told there was a puddle under the house, and suspected it was sewage. The company also told me I would need to get the crawl spacwe clean before a plumber would go down there. I called O'Neills and asked them if they could check it out. Bobby came and calmed my fears that it was not sewagre, but a plumbing leak between the powder room and the kitchen faucet. He showed me pictures of the leak, and how it was once fixed with duct tape. I asked him if it could be fixed without first cleaning the crawl space. He assured me that they could and it should probably occur before the clean out anyway. Scheduling was quick, plumbers were respectful, knowledgable and thorough. All in all a painless transaction. Would consider it pleasant, but when is a plumbing issue pleasant?

Great Service. They responded very quickly even it was around 6pm on Sat and periodically informed me how soon the mechanic would arrive. Tyler and Mikea did a fantastic job to pull back roots and kept the area super clean. I would have them come back for any plumbing work.

Great service. The office called and said they were able to come early, which worked out well. John and Colton (apprentice) came out and both were very professional and friendly. They had to replace the insides of both toilets, rebuilding one that ended up with a broken part due to brittleness. The job was done in a timely manner, no mess and they let me know what exactly was done. Plumbing is never cheap and I wanted to make sue everything went smoothly. Will definitely use them again if we need any plumbing done. I appreciate that they are a business that is using apprentices in order for some to have an opportunity to learn the trade.

On 5/25 I had them come out to look at a leaking tub. After the guy was there a while, he came to tell me that he couldn't remove the tub stems because he didn't have the right wrench. Said he could maybe come back the same day but I had to go to work so he said he'd call to schedule something. Kind of annoying to stay home from work to wait for someone that doesn't have a wrench to remove tub stems, I would have thought he'd be better prepared based on the symptom (tub faucet leaking), but whatever. No one ever calls me, again kind of annoying, but whatever. Like a week later I call them to ask what the deal is. They apologize and schedule a followup. Guy comes back out, takes off stems and see a crack in one. Says he'll have to go find the part and come back. Again, kind of annoying but whatever. I tell him to please make sure to call back this time to set something up, No one ever calls me. At this point, having stayed home from work on two days and two failures to call me back I sort of assume they don't want my business. Fast forward two months to July and I receive a bill for $616.56 for "service labor", billed as $280 charges twice. What exactly am I being billed $616.56 for? Good question, so I call them. Their only explanation is that is the charge for their time and would I like to schedule a follow up? Well that depends, I say, are you going to charge me yet another $280 for the next visit? More? We'd be pushing $1000 for the job, which seems mighty steep to replace a single cracked stem (look on youtube, you'll see people doing the job in ten minutes). The lady doesn't have an answer on the charge and says she'll call me back. This time, to her credit, I actually get a call back from someone new, a guy this time. He leaves a message and says they are willing to take off one of the $280 charges, which tells me they saw how ridiculous the charge was for the "work" performed. No word on how much it will cost to complete the job. I call back and say I'd really like some idea how much more it will take to finish the job. The lady who answers says she can't answer that and that I should call back. I call back a few days later and get a different lady and she transfer me to the guy that left the original message. He says he doesn't know how much it will cost to complete the job but that he'll talk to the original tech and have him call me back. At this point I express frustration with the high charges, lack of call backs, time I've spent while the tech was here twice without fixing anything, and all the calls I'm having to make. One thing he tells me which is news to me - he says they are a "time and materials only" model of billing, which can be a good thing. If they are part way through a job and have to leave and come back, you don't pay for their travel time or site visits or anything. Sounds good in theory, but if that's the case, why did the guy who came out spend time taking parts off, then take time putting parts back on knowing he'd have to spend time putting parts back on again? Seems to me he should have left the job in progress to get his wrench and the stem he needed rather than spending time putting things back together and billing me for it, particularly at $280 a pop. I got no sympathy for the guy, when I said this seemed like an expensive bill for what the job was he said I was wrong to which I pointed out that opinions about what is expensive aren't really right or wrong. The end of the story is predictable. They never called me back with an estimate for what it would cost to complete the job, but we can all assume it would be at least as expensive as their first two visits, so upwards of $1000 to replace a tub stem. Sound reasonable to you? Call some other plumbing companies if you're not sure. It's a shame, given all of the good reviews of this company. The guy who came out seemed polite and professional, but it seemed like he was trying to run up the labor bill and the communication from this company was atrocious. The right thing would have been to complete the job at a reasonable price or waive the fee altogether since they never actually repaired anything. But nope, no offer like that. I mailed in a check for over $300 for never completing the job along with a note with how disappointed I was with the experience. They duly cashed my check and never called me back.

Dispatch promptly picked up when I called and found a plumber who had just finished up a job nearby. Plumber was onsite in less than 15 minutes which was absolutely amazing! Plumber was super professional, replaced faulty hose, and helped address a potential misconfiguration in the fitting for longer term reliability. Price was reasonable given response time and quality of service. Absolutely recommend O'Neill's and will be our go-to for any future plumbing needs!

We worked with Steve, he was punctual, nice, professional, and quickly fixed our leak in a tight space under 30 mins. I like that O'Neill doesn't charge so much up front to inspect the problem, and their prices are fair. I went out of my way to find them again for another job and hope to give them another raving review. :)

After living in my home for close to 20ish years, I was finally blessed to be able to get rid of the 70 year old galvanized pipes and get all new ones! We had had quite a few house-to-street pipe bursts in the neighborhood this year, with all of our houses about the same age, so . . . I decided to be proactive. The entire O'Neill team were incredible! They explained everything they did as they went along, why they were doing it, etc. And, the best part was watching them work as a team! They truly love what they do and what they do for their customers . . . giving them peace of mind! Plus, I LOVE that they are a long time local company that invests in their employees and their customers! Thank you Team O'Neill! Nelson and his partner were super nice, very pleasant, and the clogged sewer line now drains. The only area for improvement is that I would urge them to check the condition and cleanliness of the work area before leaving. Specifically, the top of my toilet tank was left in the laundry room and not replaced on the toilet in the bathroom and they dumped a big mound of filthy used feminine hygiene products that were fished out of the drain, bathed in human waste, into my little bathroom garbage can. This was disappointing. I mentioned this to them as they left and they were very apologetic.

The scheduling went better than expected; they were very responsive and had availability within a few days. The team showed up on time, and were very courteous. While a little pricier than I was expecting, they did a great job quickly and I have no regrets having them do my job.

Emailed O'neill through their website. Got a prompt response from Jennifer. She was efficient and friendly and worked to schedule the appointment according to my schedule. Colin came out, knew exactly what he was doing, answered all my questions and gave great advice. I also appreciated that he called to let me know he was running a little late due to traffic. Will definitely use O'neill again.

Great! I didn't know I could have a new faucet which would work with my portable dishwasher but John Keigley figured out how to do that. I now have a modern faucet which will work with my portable dishwasher.

Called regarding a nasty smell coming from under our sink and then we could start smelling the same smell coming out of our furnace vent. James arrive on Monday and diagnosed the issue which was a broken kitchen drain line. James came back on Wednesday to actually do the work. James did a great job and also took the time to help with a few outstanding issues we needed help with -- a hose bib that needed to be replaced and also the hot water in our kitchen sink had lost pressure. He fixed both of these issues immediately. We appreciated James knowledge and kindness -- he was pleasure to work with! He made the whole process very easy and explained what he needed to do and why. Keep up the amazing work, James!!!

We just inherited some rental properties. A drain in one of our units was clogged and water was backing up into the shower. Unfortunately, this problem occurred going into the weekend, but O'Neill was able to slot us a position on their schedule for Monday. Nels was our service person. He arrived at the beginning of the two-hour window that we were assigned and immediately went to work. He quickly diagnosed what the problem was and our backup was quickly alleviated. While he was there, he also took a look at a slow draining laundry tub and a few faucets that were giving one of our tenants a problem. All along, he was pleasant in his demeanor and very professional in fixing our concerns. When he was finished, he explained exactly what he had done and told us that if we had any questions, we could call to have them addressed. I noticed that some of the reviewers have complained that their prices appear to be "high." For me, I think their rates are reasonable when you consider that they show up when they say they will, they quickly go to work, they know how to fix the problem, and they are pleasant to deal with. I would much rather deal with this scenario than maybe try to save a few bucks and have to hassle with unexpectedly bad results. O'Neill Plumbing will definitely be on our "go to" list of plumbers when the need arises in the future.
