Eco-side was the only siding company we found that would even consider our project. Alejandro was responsive to our needs and very knowledgeable about the options. He showed up on time for appointments, added us in to his busy schedule, and had a crew working on the weekends to get our job done on time. The work was done very professionally.

I am quite happy with the results. The job became more complicated than we had expected and even though this increased the cost of the project, Alejandro (Ecoside's Owner) kept to his original bid price. He was very professional and respectful. I would use him again and highly recommend him.

Alejandro was nice to work with.  When I raised any issues, questions or concerns during the process he responded quickly and everything was done to our satisfaction.   His crew did a professional job and were always friendly. 

This work was done through a 203k Rehab Loan from our home purchase.   There is a lot of paperwork and patience required by the contractor when they perform work under a loan like this.  Alejandro was very patient and understanding during the whole process and was very accommodating in working with our unique situation.  Eco-Side has a lot of integrity and I would certainly use them again.

We'd been researching and getting bids, for both repainting/re-siding the entire exterior of our 1968 house for about two and a half years, but hadn't really found a company we felt like we connected with. A few of the siding contractors we received bids from prior to Eco-side were very high pressure, which made us uncomfortable.
Then we found Alejandro and Eco-side - WOW! An 'A' rating on Angie's List and BBB. And it's not hard to figure out why. He and his crew at Eco-side were so easy to work with, so professional, it made a large home renovation project seem so much simpler.
Alejandro was responsive and helped get our bid and time estimate very quickly, and answered all our questions as they arose. Once we moved forward and got scheduled, the Eco-side team was punctual and got right to business. When the team found during the demolition phase that our old cedar style house had no underlayer plywood/OSB - it was just stud, paper and cedar siding - they were able to respond immediately. They got us a bid in the morning to add an underlayer, we approved it and by afternoon they'd procured the additional materials needed, were installing it and moving forward with the project. When they found that we had a leaking pipe in a kitchen wall, they worked around the situation until we could get a plumber to take care of the problem. The team even added additional crawl space vents for us, an unplanned bonus! At the end of each day, they did a clean up phase to get the majority of the debris out of the way, which we really appreciated as our dog of course wanted to go everywhere they'd been. :)
Looking back, I think that's what makes Eco-side an extra-special company: all the employees are working on the project with a 'how can we best fix this?' mentality instead of a 'this is what the work order said' view. It made things that could have stalled or complicated the project easy to address. Even with the complication of an added underlayer to the entire exterior, the project only took two additional days - all WELL worth it!
I would highly recommend Alejandro and the entire Eco-side team to anyone looking to re-side their house. You will be in good hands with this company!

Alejandro estimated 18 days of work in his bid. The work was completed in 18 days. His crew arrived exactly on time (8;00 am) each day and worked diligently, at least 8 hrs every day to get the work completed on time. At the end of each day all their tools were picked up and the work site was clean. The crew are experts at solving problems that are present in a 1913 and in some spots, crooked house. They are open to and seek input from the homeowner when needed and allowed us to work along side of them, insulating and painting as necessary.
Alejandro was onsite regularly, he kept us informed and apprised of the process. Our experience, from start to finish with Eco-side LLC was outstanding. The estimate/cost of the project was significantly less than the competition. Our house turned out beautiful!

Alejandro and his team followed the exact schedule proposed on his original bid and not only did his team finish the entire project a few days early, but Alejandro would text me projects updates on a daily basis (including photos) so I could see what his team accomplished that day.  I felt very involved in the project and informed along the entire project timeline.  
Also, the bid amount was the exact amount that I paid for the entire project at the end and there wasn't any construction debris or garbage left behind anywhere.....it was like the Alejandro and his team were never even there, EXCEPT my new pretty house is proof that they were indeed there.
My house looks fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the results.  I would recommend Alejandro and his team to anyone who is in need of assistance with a siding project.

Alejandro's team did a fantastic job of removing all of the old (2 layers) of siding, prepping the building and getting the new siding on.  They were fast and efficient.  
I'll be using Alejandro on future jobs again.

The estimate process went fine.

Alejandro responded immediately to my inquiry and came out to my house to give me an estimate.  He was professional and gave a thorough inspection of my house issue.  I was hesitant to replace the siding on my house with Hardie Plank as I wasn't sure how it would look.  Alejandro's bid came in the most reasonable and was very thorough.  I had a few other questions and requests and he answered them promptly.  His crew came out and did the job in the exact time frame he said it would take.  I wasn't sure on board size or what to put on but Alejandro knew exactly what to order and matched the house perfectly!  All of his crew were great!  They were clean, respectful and a pleasure to deal with.  Alejandro was willing to go the extra mile on any requests to make sure the job was done right.  I would DEFINATLY hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone redoing their siding on their house.  He also recommended a painter who painted out the trim after the siding was finished and they did a great job as well!

We got three quotes from A rated Angie's list siding contractors. Alejandro was the cheapest by a LONG margin. I went with him because I wanted a small "one crew" locally owned outfit where the owner/operator was on site during the work. I had him replace the chimney first in Fall, 2013 and was very happy with the end result. His workers worked quickly and safely in bad weather. The end product was excellent. So we signed him them for the entire house residing in Summer, 2014.
Scheduling was tight since Alejandro is a small business so I didn't get the Spring time slot I wanted.
HINT: schedule severa; months in advance in the busy Spring and Summer season. I waited too long. My bad.
The person that did most of the work was Cosme. Cosme did some incredible work and went well beyond expectations. I had built a clear vertical grain cedar deck that was free standing up to the house. The deck joists were on 12" center and butted up within an inch of the LP siding. I had removed the cedar decking and told Cosme that I would be OK with him cutting 2-3" off the ends of the deck joists so he would have room to remove the LP siding and then install the Hardie siding. I left for work and when I cam back I found that he did all the tear-off and install with less than 1 inch clearance. This was back breaking work leaning down below trhe level of the deck joists. He even installed the crawl space vents with ZERO clearance. Cosme didn't want to cause additional work for me eventhough I had built the deck in a manner that caused him heartache.
The quality of the finished product was better than can be expected. We requested a 2x2 corner so each siding end had to but up the the corner with exposed caulking. We didn't want covered corners with 1x3 and 1x4 shrouding the siding corners. This required alot of exposed caulking. Cosme laid down nice fat and wide caulking beads. THey were very consistent, smooth and clean. Expertly applied. I used binoculares and checked up at the top of the two story chimney about 25 feet up. The caulking up there was the same as at ground level. He didn't try to save money by laying down a thin bead.
Cosme also installed some excellent flashing with some serious craftsmanship. All the flashing installed on top of lighting mounts, electrical outlets, drier & range hood vents and door brickmolds was cut and bent to exacting standards. He takes pride in his work and it shows!!!
Cosme had help from Alejandro and one other worker that I didn't catch his name. Cosme's teenage son also helped during the summer. They were very quiet and respectful and kept the job site clean. They supply their own sani-can if needed. We let them use our bathroom but they rarely used it. They tried not to intrude in our household.
The job did take much longer than planned but that was because I had orderd a custom exterior door that pushed the job completion back by about 2 months. The lead time for the door was over 45 days. This broke the job into two parts and required Cosme to come back. This was my issue and Alejandro did his best to juggle his schedule around my demands while still keeping his crews working on other job sites. No heartburn on my part. Alejandro was very flexible and easy to work with. He did not charge more for the extra trips out to East King County.
The final grade was provided by the painter and his crew that also does some siding work on the side. They saw the work Eco-Siding did and just nodded with respect. I asked them what they thought of the quality. They were inspecting the craftsmanship and trying the learn what, why and how Cosme did what he did. They said it was great work. To impress a painting company that sees newly installed siding ALL the time... that is a compliment.

We had a great working experience with Alejandro and his crew. We had two different companies out for estimates. We liked Alejandro immediately and his price was almost half that of the other company. He
was able to do the work within the time frame that he told us originally. He and his crew were very professional - on time, worked very hard and quickly. They kept the area around the house clean while
doing the work and answered any questions that I had along the way. He also recommended a painter that we ultimately hired who also did a great job.
I had read AngiesList reviews ahead of time and someone said they had better luck communicating with Alejandro via the AngiesList messenger program as opposed to email. I found that to be true as well. For the most part when I sent a question to him in this way it was answered within 24-48 hours.

I am a former general contractor and am currently a construction-defect attorney. I contracted with Ecoside to replace the defectively-installed LP siding on my home with Hardie lap siding. From the first contact through completion, Ecoside exceeded my expectations. My home was originally constructed with non-standard framing materials. Ecoside handled the challenges with skill. I am particularly pleased with the way that Ecoside flashed the unusual transitions. Plus, the paint job is excellent. Ecoside also worked with me on the schedule. I replaced two exterior doors prior to the siding replacement. Ecoside accommodated the delays that I caused. If I were still in the construction industry, I would use Ecoside as a subcontractor. I am very happy that Ecoside did the work on my home.

We agreed on a date and time to come and Alejandro was very responsive and punctual on the agreed date/time.  We took a fair bit of time discussing my needs. A couple of email inquiries (through Angie's List) were sent to thank him for coming and inquire when I would receive his bid.  These went unanswered.  Finally, 17 days after he came to our home I emailed Alejandro and told him that if I did not receive his bid in a few more days I would no longer consider him in the running (had to get my project moving).  He never replied to that email either.  So go figure:  he took the time to come and evaluate my project but then must have decided he didn't want to bid on it but didn't have the courtesy to send a simple reply to let me know.  VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Small and personal crew. We selected John Hardie siding and they handled the material exceptionally. Very polite, clean, and attentive. We have not received the final bill, but I would highly recommend them for siding replacement.

The short story is that the house looks great and the job was done on-time and on-budget. 
Alejandro was great to work with from the first visit for an estimate to the final clean-up.  We had what could have been a major problem early in the work but Alejandro took care of it promptly and professionally.  We were very impressed with his honesty and would highly recommend Eco Side to anyone.

I cannot say enough about Alejandro and his crew.  After having had a previous nightmarish experience with another siding contractor - ECOSIDE was like a breath of fresh air.  Alejandro and his crew installed Hardie plank siding on my entire house for less than what a previous contractor charged to do a very poor install job of a cheap vinyl product on only half of the house.  Alejandro could not have been more professional, considerate and helpful throughout the entire process.  Even when I changed my mind mid-stream and decided I didn't want cedar shakes (that he had already ordered and delivered on site to the house!) he never blinked.  He simply offered thoughtful suggestions and then patiently waited until I figured out which direction I wanted to go.  His crew cleaned up the work site at the end of each day and always arrived promptly each morning as scheduled.  The did fantastic work and I can't say enough good things about this company or the great experience I had choosing them.  A++

The main thing the did that was especially good is he laid out the siding in a very balanced way so the seams worked well around the windows.  I looked great.
They cleaned up and did all the work as they said they would.  He was great!

I will definitely call Alejandro in Spring/Summer 2014 to complete the remainder of my house. Eco-Siding is a keeper. But to avoid communication issues, read further.
Phone messages left on his home office answering machine were not responded to in a timely manner or at all. Messages left on the Angie's List site were returned promptly and completely. We sent messages back and forth about 6-8 times with no hiccups.
FOR PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS: USE THE ANGIE'S LIST MESSAGE SYSTEM INSTEAD OF THE PHONE. I don't think he reliably gets the messages on the telephone answering machine at home... (kids/spouse/roommate not passing on the messages??)
Alejandro runs 1-2 small crews so he is a small business. I wanted that since I had bad experiences with big companies where the boss has little on-site presence and mistakes are made by crews with minimal supervision. He showed up on time for the estimate and provided me with an estimate for the chimney residing as well as for the whole house. The prices was significantly less than other larger siding businesses on Angie's List.
Alejandro's employee showed up early and waited for the scaffolding, materials and Sani-can to be delivered. It was raining and cold. The employee was dressed very well for the weather and was prepared for a full day in the weather. They completed set up and the tear off on day 1. They replaced some rotten sheathing and framing and re-sided and caulked on day 2.
The worksite was very clean and tidy. The caulking was wide and well feathered. There was no scrimping with the caulk. Excellent workmanship. I went up on the roof to see how they addressed two problematic valleys that end at the edge of the chimney. The valleys clog up with maple seeds and cedar trigs and causes rot. I had asked Alejandro to make sure the valleys worked better. He had trimmed the 2x2 edge corner a bit higher off the shingles and installed flashing to divert water and debris away from the chimney. Clever and effective solution that the original home builder/roofer/siding installer hadn't considered.
I had expected some rot in the sheathing and framing. Alejandro confirmed it and only charged me for materials and no extra charge for labor to get the materials or for the install. Nice.
I was very satisfied and will definitely use Eco-Siding in Spring/Summer 2014.
