They came out here and for $600 got the clog out in five minutes. The gentleman told me I was on septic when I know I?m not so it could?ve potentially cost a lot more but luckily we got it squared away

Will showed up early and was curious. Our problem seemed to resolve itself, he didn't charge us anything, since he didn't have to do anything. I didn't expect this. I was okay with paying for him coming to help us. Great customer service is still out there.

When I set up the appointment I specified drain clogs and toilet issues. Now, AA apparently uses 3rd-party sub-contractors? when the guy arrived, he said he was only licensed to work on drains, NOT on toilets. He said he would alert AA about this. Separately, I called AA (twice) myself, and, when no one picked up, left a message reporting the problem and requesting a call-back. It has been 2 weeks now, and nobody at ever got back to me. Kinda RUDE I would say?

AA actually outsourced the work to PriCore Technologies. After $11,000 of digging, the problem still is not solved and they estimate another $16,000 more. Its time for a second opinion.

my drains were cleared. the tech was friendly and knew what he was doing but ultimately that is outweighed by the exorbitant price of $704 for 1 hour of work not including transportation and only a few gaskets for parts.

Be careful about full charges for job. Also they did not seem to talk to each other and true recommendations were hard to understand. They put the entire cost for the project at the bottom of the estimate leading me to think that this was the only cost only to find out that it would be almost 400 dollars more at the time of payment and would have affected my choice of contractors. The workers actually gave me more knowledge than the bosses. I would have a hard time recommending them to others!
Response from AA Plumbing & Drain Team, Inc.
"Arrived to the residence to find main line problem. We did a camera down line to find a problem and at that time gave Mr. L a bid to repair. He also had two other companies with bids, but chose to go with us. After the job was inspected and done. We tried to deposit the check and it would not clear for lack of funds. Then we contacted Mr. L and he gave us a Credit Card to cover costs. The credit card was declined. After contacting him again, he then put enough funds into his checking account to deposit the check. He did not pay any additional charges."

Sewer Main Clearing
$2,000
Our side sewer would not drain and was backing up into basement utility sinks when flushing the toilet when I sought help from Home Advisor. After the first recommended and chosen contractor didn't respond to the appointment I made, Home Advisor cancelled it, called me to tell me they cancelled it, and then helped me select another contractor. They recommended AA Plumbing and Drain Team, Inc. When I called them they answered as AA Plumbing, doing business as Tricor. So I knew I would be dealing with AA Plumbing, using the name Tricor. What I didn't know was that Tricor is the side sewer for most of the plumbing companies in our area. So if it is a side sewer problem, Tricor is the company that will deal with it, not the company you call. You'll pay the company you called for something for the service call, and then Tricor will bill you what they charge to work on your side sewer. At least that is how they explained it to me. I paid 2 different companies for my one job. They could come the next morning between 9 and 11, and would call me when they were on the way. No phone call, but at least they arrived by 10am on my door step. I reviewed the problem with them, showed them my basement "stack and clean out" then took them outside to the already installed sewer clean out next to the house. They then gave me a bid of just over $400 to clean the line, and run a camera down the sewer to see what it looked like. I agreed and they proceeded to run a 2" cutter down the 4" pipe for 100' to the main city sewer line. Great! Then the camera was sent down and it showed lots and lots of root intrusion into the pipe. I was dismayed that so much root intrusion was left after the cutter had been snaked down but the recommendation was to excavate and dig down and remove the first 15' for poorly sloped drain that was holding an inch or so of water causing standing water. That would be $15,000 for that bit. Then if they could get it to drain properly after the first 15' excavation and replacement, they could re-pipe the rest of the 65' to the street for $100 a foot or an additional $6-7,000. I was a bit in shock and after not agreeing to the $22,000 project on the spot, they told me maybe "hydrojetting" the pipe would help at least for a few months. Hydrojetting seemed to be a bargain at at $1,300 by this time. Of course that was on top of the $400 that was already charged for "assessing the problem." So with taxes and all it was about a $2000 job to get the side sewer unplugged and cleared of most of the roots. Thankfully the sewer line is running fine now. If I didn't need to get the sewer cleared as soon as possible, I would have had other companies bid. AA Plumbing cleanly new what there charges would be without even looking at the problem and could have given me a bid over the phone or by email. I believe they mostly wanted to sell me on a large excavation project that may have corrected 15' of the problem, and set me up to need do do

Their estimator seemed to be concerned with my best interest, offering options and explaining the pros and cons for each. I was concerned their initial quote was high, but even after discovering several complications with my plumbing, they kept to their original quote. That was very satisfying and reassuring. Some of their repairs are actually better than the original work done on my home.

Response was within 2 hours of my post; very courteous, professional, took care with working around newly remodeled cabinets/new sink, provided me with tips on preventing future clogs; his cleanup after the work was perfect. My 4.5 on value for the money is in no way solely directed to AA Plumbing but more of a comment to the cost in general --- though my drain flows now as it should so all in all money well spent. Would call on them again hoping I never have the need.

THE JOB: Fix two plugged drains for gutter downspouts. This is a very confusing group of companies. We think we hired AA Plumbing, but "PriCor Technologies" came out. Job cost a bit more than $5000. They took half down up front, on my wife's credit card. I wanted to pay the other half on mine. But hey went away after the job, w/o asking for the rest. I couldn't get anyone on the phone (PriCor Tech office) to let them know our intentions. Without asking they charged the rest to my wife's credit card a week later. The job was functional I hope, but not rain tested so far. The esthetics were not good. One of our auto sprinkler heads was flush with ground level to begin with, now 7" above ground. I will have to dig up that area to return it to normal if I can....I'm over 80 and don't appreciate the extra work. Two walking paths were gravel covered before, now just dirt. I called customer service, couldn't get a live person, left voice message, they never called back. The impression is that one phone service handles all communications for 7 or more companies and do a rather poor, confusing, inadequate, job of it.

I knew getting a plumber was going to cost between $200 and $2500. Even though AA Plumbing sent a sub-contractor, I was extremely pleased with the results. The men doing the work were professional and courteous at all times. They unclogged the pipes and installed a new garbage disposal. Total cost was just under $2000. I believe in having work done right the first time. I probably could have done the work myself at less cost. But if I made a mistake, it might have cost me a heck of a lot more. Yes, there are companies that probably charge less, but would their work be as good or professional?
