I had two large trees that needed to be removed. Thanks to Angies List, we were introduced to Bob's Property Solutions, Inc. His reviews were excellent so we bought the coupon. I contacted Bob and was immediately impressed. He showed up in two days and gave me an estimate. His price was very reasonable. Two days later, Bob and an employee showed up and the work began. Bob was very thorough and even used plywood over the lawn to protect it. Bob's clean up was outstanding. Bob's Property Solutions is a very professional company. I am so happy we had Bob do the job. I would recommend him and his company to my closest friends. A job well done! We will definitely call him for our next project.

I really love my Angie's List customers!!! You folks are great! Thanks for the awesome feedback. Mr (Name removed) has a home in an upscale neighborhood. I could tell they spend a lot of money keeping their manicured yard looking as nice as the rest. I assume it may even be a competition. Laying out six sheets of ply wood to walk on makes the difference between a muddy rut, and "I cannot believe you did not have a tree service here". I try my best to leave no trace on certain jobs, and I charge accordingly. I have other customers (maybe more rural) that don't mind a few dents, or a rut. Every job is different, and presents its own challenge. Also on this job one of the trees that needed stump grinding was planted directly over the utility's coming into the home. I knew this from my years of doing site development, before locating them. The day of the job my locator read that the phone line was 16" below the stump. Also most of my competitors don't offer locating of private utilities. There is a free service “Call before you dig” but they will not disclose the depth, and they don’t locate your private utility’s. Many Phone and gas lines can be shallow. But it is always best to have multiply company’s locate for you if you don’t want any damaged utilities. There are times things do get missed by the first locator but picked up by a second. There can be a number of reasons, and no locator is perfect. If you are having stump grinding, I suggest calling 811, “Call Before You Dig” before you get your estimate. Thank you, Bob

Bob had to reschedule once because he was so busy, but that wasn't a problem for me. Bob worked very fast and loaded the cut limbs into his truck for disposal. It went well. The only problem was that he was hard of hearing, so communication regarding heights to cut was by hand signals.

Thank you for the great feed back. Unfortunately I was born 50% deaf. I'm now about 75% deaf. I wear hearing aids in both ears, and they double as ear plugs when I turn them off like i did on the day if this trimming. Running chainsaws are very loud when you are up close and personal. I have lost some sales and have made a few mistakes over the years due to my hearing. This is why I always write out a complete proposal as to what will be done, and have my customers sign it. If I make a mistake or miss something on the proposal please bring it to my attention. I may not have heard you. (wink) Thanks Bob

Hello Dear Customer, Thank you for the mostly positive feedback and bringing price to our attention. Unfortunately price is matter of opinion. In the construction industry and in the tree service industry in particular you will find prices all over the place. You will also find quality of service very good and very poor. If you remember after I gave you my quote you told me you could not find anyone to do this job. If I remember correctly you had said, other contractors said they would do the job but then did not show up. In my experience this is one of the down falls of hiring the cheaper contractors. They bid cheap on Monday, but on Tuesday someone else hires them on a job that will pay more for their time. They no longer want to do the job they just under bid. I also removed all the wood free of charge, that was not part of my contract, in hopes of getting 100% positive feedback. But that is ok, because this opens an opportunity to talk about price. As of the first of 2015, I have three weeks’ worth of work, and 8 Angie's list customers waiting for me to get them bids. (I will get to them soon) I have found to place my pricing in line with how much work I can handle. If I bid low, I will end up being one of the contractors that don't show up to do the work. If I bid way to high I may not have any work. Pricing jobs is just as much of an art as doing the highly skilled services I provide. One of the major benefits to hiring my company over many of my competitors is, I personally (the owner) will most likely be doing the work. I have found that If I do most of the work on site that customer satisfaction is almost 100%. The drawback to not having 5-10 or more employees doing your job like my competitors is I may personally make less money. But like I said before, my customer satisfaction is almost 100%. This is one of the major reasons why my customers pay my company a little more over my competitors. In my professional opinion, and experience, hiring a contractor should not be based on price alone. When I hire services the last thing I look at is the price. The first thing I look for is reputation. Because if I hire a dishonest or substandard mechanic, tradesman, craftsman, or technician I will have to pay twice. And if they make a major mistake it could cost a lot more. An example: What if a tree service company put a new employee on the job, and he fell a big tree on your house, or your neighbor’s house? They may have insurance, but what about the inconvenience and possible water damage from a broken roof? I have seen trees on homes or other damaged property felled by others on average once or twice a year. Whether it be a home owner, fly by night, or an inexperienced climber working for a competitor. Tree work is very dangerous, and a very highly skilled profession, choose carefully. Thank you for your time, Bob

I highly recommend Bob and his crew. They did a wonderful job. It started when I called his number Thursday night 12/11/14 to leave a message and instead, Bob Smith, the owner, answered the phone. He said he was on the freeway and would pull over to take my information. I was shocked that he answered the phone after hours. I fully expected an answering service. He took all my information, and said he'd send a crew over at 2pm the next day. When I had examined the damage that night in the dark, I thought it was just a large branch. In the light of day, I realized it was one of my trees that had fallen. I called Bob on 12/12 and told him I had underestimated the job and it was really a tree. Bob came to inspect it himself, and said, "yes, it's a tree, not a branch" (haha). He said it would be $550. To haul away the wood, an additional $50. I asked him to take a bunch of wood from a tree that had fallen a couple years ago and the tree was still in my back yard. He said he could, but that would be another $50. Total $650 plus tax. This was a lot of work, so I thought it was fair. Bob and his crew brought in a big, covered truck, a wood chipper, a chain saw, and some sort of small track vehicle to haul the big pieces of the tree from my neighbor's back yard to the wood chipper on the street (no damage to the lawn from this vehicle). They went to work, and I've never seen guys work as hard and fast as these guys. I was totally impressed. In about 2 1/2 hours they were completely done. There was no trace of the tree that had spanned the entire width of my neighbor's lawn. They even picked up all the pieces of the tree and branches from two houses down, as well as all the wood in my back yard from the tree from two years before. I highly recommend Bob's Property Solutions. Fast and efficient service. Plus, Bob just seemed like a really nice, hard-working guy.

Thank you very much for the wonderful review of my company, and taking your valuable time to write it. I wish more of my Angie's list customers would leave reviews for me. I know I leave 99% of them 100% satisfied. This is what I strive for, and this is what puts food on my family's table. Angie's list customers have the highest expectations, of any advertising outlet, and I strive to exceed their expectations. I wish I could respond to every job as quickly as I was able to yours. Some times you get lucky on the draw. To let others know: My help and I had worked very hard during that day taking down a big tree and clean up. We where very tired. We showed up just before dark and where finished well after dark on this job. I am some what of a perfectionist with a balance. I'm always on my helper to do a better clean up, or take precautions not to damage property. Even if its just a lawn or bush. I honestly try my best at every job. But the looks of satisfaction from my customers is priceless. I'll share something personal. I get my feeling of importance from satisfied customers and a job well done. Thank you Angie's list customers, for helping me be successful in 2014, I look forward to working for you in 2015. Thank you Bob

I called Bob's Property Solutions after reading a review on here about a job he did on a tree next to a fence and how well they did. Bob showed up promptly at the time he stated he would be there (actually a few minutes early). He had two workers along to help him out and they were already prepping the equipment to begin. The main tree we wanted removed was an overgrown Cherry tree that was right on our fence line and overhung it onto the neighbors bank. Bob said that he would be able to get the limbs down with no problem. As they got to work I watched from the kitchen window (it was in the 20's and I had no desire to freeze with them) while they quickly worked to remove the limbs from the side away from the fence. They trimmed long branches down and dropped all the limbs right next to the tree with great control. Bob does all the climbing and cutting, and uses a rigging system to support and move the limbs into position which kept the limbs hanging over the fence from falling on it. As the job progressed the work area was kept clear of debris because all the branches were hauled away and shredded on site as they came down. Once done with the branches were all down Bob cut the main tree down in sections and when short enough he fell the remainder right on a piece of plywood so as to not gouge the ground. While he ground the stump down he had the plywood positioned to block any debris from flying back and hitting the house. He even hauled away most of the stump debris which I had planned on having to spread over the area where the tree stood. The four Maple trees along the driveway went much faster and easier. After trimming a couple of large limbs over the neighbor's fence, all four trees were felled right along the fence line in short order. Bob quickly bucked the limbs and the trees were quickly shredded. After all the work was completed they quickly set about packing up their equipment and then set about cleaning up the area. I had expected them to pick up limbs that had broken off and maybe rake a few leaves up. Instead they blew and raked the area along the front of the house and driveway picking up all the leaves and sawdust. When they had finished the area was like before they had arrived, only without the trees (and less leaves on the ground). Bob also trimmed couple Oak tree limbs that were damaged and were hanging over our fence from the neighbor's tree that I had asked about the night before when I talked to him. Overall I was extremely pleased with the professionalism, friendliness, and quality of work done by him. Thanks Bob.

Exeptional experience with Bob and his crew. I Called Bob to set up a time to come out and provide an estimate, he happened to be close and said he could be at my house in 15 minutes. He arrived, assessed the scope of the work, and provided an estimate on the spot. The estimate was very fair considering the complexity of the work through powerlines and branches over the house and detached garage. Bob created a plan of attack for his guys, he talked about how they would safely tie off and navigate the numerous obstacles that they had to work around. They were professional and efficient, once everything was cut they hauled all the branches to their chipper for disposal. The last step was cleanup, being late fall, I had a signifcant amount of debris on the ground prior to their arrival. Bob and his crew left the yard in much better condition than when they arrived. If you need tree service call Bob, dont even waste time looking elsewhere.
Description of Work: Bob provided an estimate for a significant amount of branches removed from 2 very large mature trees and to remove 5 large bushes next to the house threatening the foundation of the house. Two days after the estimate he got to work, the first tree's branches were going through powerlines and the second tree's branches were resting on the roof of the house.

I had one large tree in the back between the fence and the deck that had fallen over during the wind storm Saturday evening. One large limb was resting on the fence and another one was resting on the deck railing. I was afraid the tree could collapse the whole fence. I called Bob Sunday morning and he was over here in half an hour. He quoted his price and went to work. We discussed the tree in front of the house and he pointed out that the it had been planted too close to the house and the roots would tear up the walkway and the foundation. I agreed and he took that tree down as well. He is very skillful and professional. He made sure I was happy with the job. I was surprised how fast he was able to remove the tree in back without harming the fence. The following day his helper was over and did a fantastic job of cleanup. He was here all day and worked hard chipping the limbs and raking up the debris. He went beyond the scope of work by clearing the gutter, raking up the leaves, and leaving my yard looking neat and clean. I found Bob to be honest, caring, and professional. He is fast to respond to phone calls and dependable. I would highly recommend this company.

Bob was responsive to emails and phone calls. He came out immediately to view my property and it was after hours. Unfortunately the scope of work was not what I was looking for and had nothing to do with his expertise. I was looking for someone to trim and shape my trees and Bob's company is more skilled in large tree removal, excavating, etc... No fault of his own and he was honest about it.

Thank you for the awesome review. John has a new home with a beautifully landscaped yard with a mature Lions Head Japanese Maple. I have never pruned one of these very unique and beautiful trees, I got cold feet right away. I told john that my idea and his idea may end up being two different views on beauty. He then admitted that the last tree trimmer from A.L.butchered his yard but did not write a review. As of right now, I do not specialize in pruning small ornamental trees and shrubs. To provide this service, it takes someone that has extreme patients to do a good job. I have yet to find an employee / arboist that can satisfy this service. However larger domestic trees that grow over 30 feet tall I have no problem trimming for you. I had rather be honest and not work than work and take advantage of a job that I'm unsure I can satisfy my customer 100%. I can afford to do this because for one I manage my business well enough that I can take up to a year off and still pay my bills. And two, if I can take a break from working all the time, its a blessing. I want to thank all the Angie's List customers that have hired me. You have truly helped me become successful. I honestly owe my success to Angie's list too. I think we all owe Angies list a big thank you. They are awesome!!! They are truly the best way for home owners to find and hire honest contractors. I notice that Angie's list members care more about their homes and properties, than any other place I get customers from. Thank you, so very much!!! Bob

He surveyed the scene and gave me an honest estimate. He went to work quickly and safely falling the tree without any damage to my property. I would trust him to remove trees on my property in the future because of the care and professionalism he displayed. He also cut the tree into sections so we could split them for firewood. He confirmed the appointment on his way to my location this morning. when he arrived he checked in, said hi and went to work. I was a little skeptical about the over promised and under delivered with the job. I had what I thought to be a big job and thought I needed a Dozer to get it done. He has a bob cat with several cool attachments and the job proved to be "NO" problem for him and his equipment.......I was extremely surprised to see the finished product. I am very happy with his work and he was a man of his word and delivered above my expectations. He came out as soon as we established contact and he took a few measurements, discussed the job and the variables and possibilities and I agreed to the quote to drop the tree and grind the stump. He started immediately and scrambled up the tree clearing limbs on the back side to weight it the way he wanted, and dropped 2/3 of the tree. He bucked up the sections that were too much for my saw and left the rest, for me to cleanup, which I chose to do instead of paying for it. Once I had cleared the mess, he came back the next day and cut down the remainder and ground the stump, again bucking up the parts I couldn't do with my tools. Pleasant, quick and efficient. Before he left, I had him give me a quote for some future work.

Contacted Bob on Monday and he was out Tuesday evening. I thought he would give me an estimate and i would have to wait a while to get the work done but he said it would take a few hours and started right up. He had given me an estimate for hauling away the debris but I needed to save the money so I figured I would use my own truck. On 1-23-14 I called Bob at Bob's Property Solutions and asked him to come and give us an estimate to take out 2 tall cotton wood trees. He came the same day and gave us an estimate for the 2 trees, plus taking the wood of the 2 trees and wood left from a previous tree being taken down; also for grinding 3 stumps. It was a very reasonable price, which we accepted, and the work was done in just a few days. His work was excellent and the timing was perfect. He is very personable and easy to talk to. We would use him again and would recommend him to anyone.

The provider asked why, and I explained that I have had trees removed before and had a bit of experience in this matter. When I asked the provider why his price was where it was, he explained that he would have to go back to the shop and get equipment to remove the trees and that was an inconvenience. Huh? (My assumption was that this was an estimate call and that the provider wouldn't show up prepared to do the job. Obviously returning to the shop to retrieve equipment is a common practice in any service to a customer.) The provider seemed to be basing the quote, not on the difficulty of the project, but on the inconvenience of returning to the shop to get the proper materials to do the project. Then, the "used-car salesman" approach was implemented by the provider. "How much would pay to have this done?" This negotiation continued for quite a bit until the provider stated that he would simply cut the trees down and I could cut them up and haul them away myself. I informed the provider that I could cut the trees down myself with a limb saw (which I ended up doing) in about 15 minutes, so the high price the provider quoted for doing this simple task was unacceptable. The trees still needed to be cut up and hauled away. I have cut down, cut up and hauled away the first tree myself in a few hours and will do the second tree shortly.
Description of Work: Called for an estimate. I informed the provider that I had two small trees with trunks 18" in circumference, or smaller and 20 or so feet in height. When the provider arrived, he quoted a price and I declined the service.

Hello Everyone. This makes me very sad. When I asked him how big they where on the phone he made them sound like they where two mature trees. But when I get there they where more like fifteen feet tall and very young. He said he just wanted to see what I would charge. I sensed he really did not want to pay much for the job and that is human nature, I admit I have done this myself when I was inexperienced. But this Angie's List member wanted my services for next to free. He said he could do it himself and as he states he did one tree already. So after I gave him my bid I asked him what it was worth to him out of curiosity. If I remember correctly he said not this much and he would do it himself or have a friend help. What I don't understand is if you plan on doing the job yourself why do you need to get bids and waste contractors time. Then to top it off with negative feed back when I was giving you a free estimate? Wow!! That took two to three hours out of my day to do. Did you ever stop to think that as a contractor we pay money to advertise on Angie's list and this is how we make our living? That free bids cost us money, fuel and time? Did you know we care about our reputation? I go out of my way to make sure every customer is happy. If I give you a free bid that does not make you a customer it means you are still a potential customer. For the record, when I'm out bidding jobs, I don't drive my fully equipped dump trucks and chipper around, and have employees following my with my stump grinders and excavators just encase I might get this one job. If I did it would cost thousands in fuel and wages. Instead I do what is an industry standard, I drive my pickup or work vehicle. I normally have a set of climb gear with me in case I can do a take down for a (DYI) do it yourself clean up customer. Often times customers love it when they can save them $1000 or more on clean up and do it themselves. They just need help with the dangerous part, climbing to take the tree down. And last, just because you call me does not obligate me to work for you. There are often times I can start your project the next day. With summer coming up I have Site developments, Government, and large contracts to fulfill. I have customers that are relying on me to get their projects completed on time. Some of which take the full resources of my company weeks at a time to complete. If I'm booked up I will tell you, not give you broken promises. So please call me for a free estimate I would love to meet you and see your proposed project. It brings me satisfaction when my customers are happy and they see a job well done. Thank you for choosing Bobs Property Solution's.

Finally, due to a "low funding flow" I found out that I won't be able to have Bob perform the work until late summer/early fall. He was understanding and sent my checks back right away. Bob is very trustworthy, knowledgable and professional. He even offered to help me find someone to help me with a smaller project, unrelated to the tree service. I just want to say that I was very offended by the reviewer who mentioned Bob's hearing as being an issue. My mother was born partially deaf, and so I understand the challenges that that can bring in a world where almost everything centers on your hearing sense. I had ZERO problems with Bob and communication (we did end up having a phone conversation and of course the in-person conversation and truth be told, I would not have even noticed anything except for the rude reviewer) and I think the person who lambasted him for the hearing "issue" (it's NOT an issue!!!) was very insensitive and totally out of line and many other choice words I will not write down here. Having lived with my mother growing up, I knew to face Bob when I speak to him and that was the only "adjustment" I made to facilitate communication. I WILL hire Bob at the end of the summer to do this work. I highly suggest him for your tree needs! Call Bob! He's great!!!
Description of Work: I have a very large evergreen tree with HUGE branches hanging over my house. I work graveyard and can not be making or taking phone calls during the day. One of my criteria for getting bids is that the bidder work w/ me via email only. I emailed Bob and he made a bid-date and he showed up right on time. He was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time to review my branch challenges. Unfortunately for me, the tree is not directly accessible and so Bob had to add crane costs to the bid. I was waiting on my money situation to potentially change before I could actually schedule Bob. Because scheduling gets more challenging to do this time of year as spring and summer approach and people fill up the schedule slots, I gave Bob 2 checks (one for "half up front", the other for after job completion) to hold for me so that as soon as I got an answer on my money flow, I could schedule him. He did not ask for the money, I offered. In fact, he was hesitant, but obliging. Bob held those checks for almost a month while we waited for the crane to become available and for my money questions to get resolved. (The crane was half the cost of the tree project and that is just something I have to deal with, considering my property situation. I thought the bid was reasonable and was ready to hire him on the spot if it hadn't been for my budgetary challenges at the time).

We did not have a good experience with this company. To begin with, the person who answers their phone is very hard of hearing. I had to repeat myself numerous times before he got the information, and even then I wasn?t sure he had it right. He said he would have the people who do the actual tree work contact me soon. They did, and we set up a time to meet for an estimate. On the day they were supposed to come out for the estimate, they called and said that they were very backed up and would not be able to come out on the day we had set up. They said they would come out on Friday or Saturday, calling us first to let us know when they would arrive. Instead, when they called, what they told us was that they said something about being low on cash flow and that they had two options for where they could spend the day and asked me to tell them again what work we wanted to have done. After I did that, they asked me how much I was willing to spend for the work. I thought this was a very inappropriate question, and I had no idea what to say. I finally gave them a figure, and they said they would be back in touch with me. I never heard from them again. I suspect that they had a problem with the fact that we were so far out in the country and that the figure I gave them (which I thought would be the beginning of a negotiation) was too low. In any case, I felt that they were not being honest with me, and that they were very disrespectful in not calling me back. I would not recommend them to anyone else.

Response from Bobs Property Solutions Inc
Hello I'm Bob. I want to thank (removed member name) for bringing this to our attention. Yes I'm hard of hearing. I was born 65-75% deaf. I have never taken a Government hand out due to my severe hearing loss even though I probably could have. And even though I wear two hearing aids, some people like "(removed member name)" I can not understand on the phone or in person. Some people I hear better on the phone than in person. Due to my hearing impairment I probably loose 25% of my customers to contractors that have good hearing. So please be patient with me and talk slow and clear. In person please look at me, I can read lips. Note: Just so you know we are on the same page during a free estimate I always write all work to be done on your estimate sheet. If I miss something please don't be afraid to bring it to my attention. I want every job done right the first time and 110% customer satisfaction. I'll admit there could have been some misunderstanding and communication barrier. But If I remember correctly he had a small job that was outside of my service area. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. Here is an example: I'm not willing to spend two days making $200. One day to drive way out in the country to look at what I assumed would have been a $200 job that I may or may not get. And another day to do the job. The fuel, equipment and laborers alone would have cost me more than $200. $ I own some of the best equipment in the industry to get your job done in a professional manner, very quickly, and that comes with a price even I have to pay for. So yes if you are out side of my service area. I may ask you a few questions to see if I'm interested in even bidding your project. I mostly work within a ten miles of Puyallup, Tacoma and Federal Way, WA. I have done many jobs outside of that area within 30-40 miles of my shop. I want to thank (removed member name) again for bringing my hearing loss to the attention to all of Angie's list customers. Its not something I'm proud of, and wish I could have had good hearing. But I do the best I can with what I have. I do check my email daily. If you fill out the contact forum on my web site, your info comes right to my phone within minutes. This saves time and any confusion due to my hearing. I'd like to take this opportunity to explain to some of A.L. customers that may not know what its like to be a contractor. Contractors in general can not always service everyone all the time. Some times we have to service the contracts we already have scheduled, and can not take on more work that works within your schedule. I understand this because I have lived on both sides of the fence. As a general contractor I'm currently building a house. I can not always get bids from the contractors I want to hire or at the time I want them to do the work. Even the Angie's list contractors I wanted to hire could not service my needs in the time I needed them. This tells me Angie's List contractors are good at what they do and they can get very busy as well. I personally want to think you for choosing Angie's List. I hope your experience with all their contractors to be professional and pleasant. Thank you Bob

Bob?s Property Solutions does fantastic work. Bob and his folks are very skillful/knowledgeable, extremely responsive and customer oriented. The entire business reflects that! I've dealt with many tree service companies over the years but none compare to Bob's in their desire to ensure complete satisfaction with every phase of the services they provide. I contacted Bob about the tree work I needed to have done, we discussed it and he sent out an estimator. The estimate was easy to understand, fair and all my questions were answered fully. When I asked about when the work could be done, Bob told me at my convenience. I asked about the possibility of the next day, a Saturday. He said he would make it happen! Bob's crew showed up early, ready to go the next day. They were respectful, courteous and so friendly in their approach. It was evident they liked what they were doing and knew how to do it. All the work got done without a hitch. I was impressed and very appreciative. I need to mention the cleanup. In my experience how a business cleans up says a lot about their overall attention to detail and pride in what they do. Taking down trees and grinding up stumps creates a real mess. Bob's crew went to TREMENDOUS lengths to ensure everything was clean and tidy after their primary work was done. And that was done with a cheerful, happy and dedicated style that still makes me smile whenever I recall their work. Thank you Bob and crew!!
Description of Work: Removed 4 large cedar trees that were linked together and very close to the house... and the neighbor's house. After cutting down the trees, ground out the stumps. The trees and stumps were in in a very tight area next to the driveway. Cleaned up everything afterward.. Went over and above to pick up all debris, blow off the needles from the roofs etc, not just from my house but the neighbors too; Even raked the areas after the stumps were ground out.!
