Accountants/Tax Consultants
Ed and his wife Sandy are former IRS employees, who are now enrolled agents. They have been doing my family's taxes for more than 20 years now. Even though we now live more than 250 miles away from their office, I still consider them to be my tax accountants. They are thoroughly professional. Ed is the type of tax accountant everyone wishes they had. He is detail oriented, keeps completely up to date on tax law, and most importantly, he sincerely enjoys working with the tax code. His interpretation of the tax laws is relatively conservative, so you won't find him recommending any wild tax avoidance scheme. He also has a good understanding and awareness of financial markets, so he is also an excellent tax planning resource. I have no problem recommending him for anyone with moderately complicated to very complex tax issues. My own tax situation is relatively straightforward, but I know he would be able to handle just about anything.
