The issues were less involved than I expected and were completed within the estimated time. Transformers needed to be ordered to repair the track lights. The technician was friendly, professional, speedy, courteous, and very competent. Definitely, will contact them if electrical service is needed again. Cost includes parts (5 smoke 2 smoke/CO2 detectors with 10 year batteries).

Michael arrived early and worked quickly. He was very friendly and willing to answer a couple of questions for me. The job was done quickly and well. I don't know the price yet, but he did a great job.

They did about 2 hours of work. Ate lunch. Went to the bathroom. Had a break. They charged us 6 hours of work at our house (two men, 3 hours) and 6 hours of work for two men for travel from Mt. Vernon that is less than half an hour each way AND for loading up their truck before coming to our house. I have hired many contractors before and charging the time to put a few ordinary items in their truck was a first. This was a small job and could have been done by one person. The owner says that he is a Christian, but his business practices indicate he does not practice his faith. I have been an Angie's List member for many years and have never posted a negative review before. My recommendation is that unless you get a firm bid, don't hire Ackermann Electric.

Project was done well, and in a timely fashion as promised.

I graded them down on responsiveness due to the amount of time it took to respond to our request. Overall that was not a problem for us since only one of the two kitchen fixtures was not working. That said, the day they called to say they were coming the repairman was right on time, did a good job, and did it promptly. The problem was that the ballast of one of our kitchen fluorescent fixtures had failed. And the cost was very reasonable. Ackerman was very professional and I would not hesitate to call them again.

Fast and professional. Probably not the cheapest but they do it right.

I've hired them a couple of times and they've been great. Everything's working great.

I have no complaints about the work done. I had an electrical outlet installed and it works perfectly. No mess was left behind like with some contractors. It was a little pricey in my opinion ($200 for an outlet) and the technician was a half hour late to an appointment that was first thing in the morning.

It was great!  They are anamazing company that will take the time to teach you about a topic that is complicated and scary to many people.  Ackerman Electric is quick to respond and their work is excellent and very professional.

I was told about this company by a friend.  I should have gotten more information because I I kept a log of the
 actual hours the workman was at my home which was 3 hours total.....he ate lunch during that time as well and left to finish work in the same neighborhood for my friend who told me when he arrived at her home. He did stop by on his way to another job to see what we needed to have done to begin with.  ( the time they charged was 5.75 hours] $743.14 seemed very expensive for the amount of work which was done.  I called them when I received the bill and they then told me they always charge to and from a job.  I will never use them again nor recommend them because the friend who referred me was charged a phenomenal amount for the work they did for her.  I should have investigated them more. The work they did do was executed in 3 hours and they charged me 20% above cost for the three fixtures they supplied but I did supply my own track lights.  They finally reduced the charge from $75/hour to $70 reducing it by $31.11.   I believe next time I will explore other providers.
