I bought a couch from them and then within a few weeks, the bottom leg of the couch broke off so the couch sits unevenly. I emailed the store and never heard back. After a year of owning this couch, the tubes are starting to come out of the cushion seams. I have another couch that is about 10 years old and is still pretty decent shape. DISAPOINTED with the poor customer service and poor quality of the furniture, will not shop there again.

Ordered a couch. Thought the price was high, and it was higher but only by a couple hundred of dollars, so went with it anyways. I wanted to support local furniture store. Placed order in middle of June. Was told since it was made at the time of the order, it takes between 4 - 6 weeks to receive new couch. No problem. Didn't need it until August. Went to Strand's on July 6th - was told our couch was "done" and they were just waiting for a truck to get full to maximize their delivery, but it shouldn't be more than 2 weeks. No problem. Was happy to know I was going to have it at the end of July sometime. Called during the middle of July for update on delivery ETA. Was told they couldn't help me the system of down, but they would get back to me. I waited for their call. Left me a voicemail to let me know that my couch now would not be here until end of August. No fault of theirs, but apparently the delivery truck driver when they were loading my couch noticed a crease in one of the fabric panels so they took it off the truck - and just my luck, the upgraded fabric I selected was on backorder - so they had to scrap the couch and wait and then start over. Um . . . so pass the buck off to Stanton's and the customer is just out of luck. Mind you, Strand's already had my $400.00 deposit I paid them back in June. Sales associate didn't really have any remorse and was pretty "not much I can do about it" attitude so I researched Stanton's Sofas out of Oregon. It is a small enough company that they have one person who pretty much handles their customer service - so I called them to let them know I was surprised by this new wrinkle with my order and to tell them what information I had been given by Strand's. Not surprising - Stanton's was quite surprised by my interesting tale I was telling them of their apparent error in creating my sectional sofa . . . especially considering my sectional sofa was NEVER ORDERED in the first place; hence my new date of delivery all the way until the end of August. Hard to get me a couch that the sales personnel at Strand's actually forgot to place initially. I haven't actually ever been lied to directly from a company with the intent of actually lying to cover up their error - I have been given discounts/accommodations to fix errors, but have always been told of them and businesses usually try to keep customers and will try to manage the situation - but to make up an entire fictitious lengthy LIE just to keep their sale? Needless to say, I was NOT happy - and I would have loved to have cancelled me order, but there really wasn't an order to cancel since it had never made it out of Strand's and into Stanton Sofas system. Stanton Sofas actually called and told Strand's to refund my deposit, since there wasn't a couch to apply it towards. It was awkward to go into Strands to get my original deposit placed back on my VISA since their manager/owner was definitely taking the side of his employee and was actually irritated with us that we called them out on their customer service policies. Needless to say, I won't be going there again, ever - and neither should you. But it all ends happy. Went to a new store, got a better couch, for less money - it was in stock, and I got it in 5 days. Yeah me.

Description of Work: We try to buy from smaller local retailers when we can. Being a local furniture store we decided to buy a couch from Strands. After 2 months there were multiple issues with the piece of furniture.Strands sent out a couple of repair people who were very nice and immediately identified a defect in it. When confronted with the issue, the manager of the store was rude and stated that they would not do anything about it. Obviously will not purchase from them again and recommend that you don't either.
