Grady was the salesman who wrote up the order in the store. The problems began with the delivery company sent by the furniture store. I have no idea the name of the company because it was two guys arriving in an unmarked van and they had no business card. I had the $99 plus sales tax ready that I had calculated. They did not collect the sales tax and did not give me a receipt. They brought the loveseat in through the basement sliding glass doors, setting it down along the wall I indicated. They asked if the placement was correct and I said I had been instructed by the store to allow enough clearance for the recliner. The junior mover piped up that he would test it and suddenly plopped down on my new loveseat in his dirty jeans, reclining, closing his eyes, until the senior guy told him to get out of the chair. At that point they went out to their truck to get the chair. Appalled by the cheekiness of the mover reclining in my new chair, I walked over to my new sofa, and looked where the mover had been sitting. It was a rainy day and I saw a spot of liquid on it. I wiped what I thought was water with my hand, and it turned out to be red blood on my brown leather sofa! Horrified, I ran to the bathroom and scrubbed my hand as hard as I could. I said nothing to the men when they came back in, just wanting them out quickly, as I was quite upset. After they left I could not even look at the furniture with the thought of a stranger's blood on my hand and on my new furniture. That evening, my husband looked at the furniture and saw that the leather had been torn at the top of the headrest where the guy had sat. Next day I called the store and a very sympathetic salesman expressed appropriate disgust and horror about the blood and a promise that I would receive a phone call about a repair on the tear after he spoke to the manager. Several days and a weekend passed with no phone call. Meanwhile we did not sit on our bloody torn new furniture, thoroughly creeped out. I finally had to call the store again and wait longer to speak to the manager. The manager admitted the furniture mover had said he had cut his finger earlier in the day. I asked him why after such an upsetting experience and damaged delivery he had not called me earlier and I was having to call several times for a response. He blamed his lack of responsiveness on how busy the furniture repair guy was. I pointed out the repair guy didn't cause the problem and that as manager he should have been following up to make sure I had been contacted. Days later the repair guy came and did the repair, and was horrified about the blood. He applied a cleaner to the leather. That night I finally sat in the chair for the first time and the reclining mechanism did not work! My husband turned the chair over and fixed it himself. I did not report that because the manager had already been so unresponsive, so what was the point of another phone call? The manager never did call me back to ask how the repair went.

Went terrible. Definite F grade. I had to initiate all the contacts with them over the issues. I had to ask them how they would provide a solution. Very poor customer service. Did not deliver. Although the nightstands were a nice offer, I find it deplorable that they had our $3000 for 4 months without delivering the goods.
Description of Work: We ordered a CA King bed set from Home Sweet Home, a vendor within My Home Wholesale in Nov.09 as a Christmas gift to each other (my husband and I). They said delivery would be within 6-8 weeks. 12 weeks later, no furniture, I had to call. They said it was still in the container. 4 weeks later, they called to say the sideboards were not originally ordered...wanted to partially deliver...no way. Many weeks later, they set a delivery date, on that day called to say they crashed into the furniture in the warehouse and had to reorder. Said they would give me two nightstands for free if I waited for delivery. Just heard that they had to back order, and set not expected to arrive until 4/29, add on two more weeks in the container and then another 4 weeks for delivery. Finally contacted DJ in customer service who said they have been having issues with this vendor. Still no resolve. Went to get my $$ back yesterday 4/5 almost 5 months after paying for the bed. We are sleeping on a mattress on the floor.
