MH Painting & Deck Refinishing is a small company so the owner can be on every job to insure the highest performance standards. We refinish decks mostly in King and Snohomish counties. MH Painting & Deck Refinishing utilizes a system of preparing and refinishing Cedar, Ipe, Brazilian hardwood, and Redwood decks. Our system has been tried, tested, and perfected by us since 1995. Our company provides the very finest accuracy in sanding, chem restoration, and the application of professional grade finishes and preservatives.

I recommend Mynor unequivocally. I had first contacted him in fall 2020 along with a few others for bids. He was one of two companies that advised against deck work as we got closer to rainy season. As spring approached, he called me and came out promptly with a bid and a timeline. He approached his work like a true craftsmen. The deck looks great and the clean up was quick and kept tidy.

MH did the original finish on the decks in 2018 and have been doing maintenance for the past 2 years. Mynor and crew are delightful to work with - good communication, punctual, efficient, and consistently high-quality work. I recommend MH Deck Refinishing with no reservations at all.

I did not find out until later that the railing still racked very loosely and I called Myron and he came out and said he would fix it for more money. I had already had $3,000 in the job and I decided not to have him do any more work on it. He didn't do what I asked for and paid for, as it was not a cheap job and he also sprayed painted it and it is now peeling on some rails. I was ripped off I feel I should have went out and pulled on the rails to see if they racked before paying him but I did not, as I try to trust workers, but then these things happen, you cannot let your guard down, I guess customers have to be pests and watch everything these workers do and don't do. Also I did not get one receipt for any materials or paint or anything. So I now have an unsafe railing I paid $3200 for and a bad paint job. He kept quoting me "time and materials".

"Good evening, I'm sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the project. As you may remember from last year based on the amount of railings that you have at your location and the intricacy of being two tone between the railings and the decking that is more difficult to get the job done as if it was all one tone. Also that goes for being in second story than ground level. As you may remember also that your railings had been previously painted and if there are any imperfections or anything hiding underneath that we are not able to see may cause imperfections on the wood. As far as the receipts go, I added everything that I payed for the all the materials used + the labor that I quoted you for. I remember going over the job and talking to you about a particular trouble spot on your railings. After we finished the project is when we noticed the post that was at the bottom hiding. When you called us, we came back right away to try to take care of it and you told us to go ahead but afterwards changed your mind. At the beginning of the project I had my helper get started because there was not any room for more than two people to get the post out and keep busy. I was out at the lumberyard getting materials ready and ordered like I do with other projects. I apologize if you my handwriting is not easy to understand."

I always use Angie's list for referrals so had high expectations for the service, but I was blown away by their responsiveness, competitive pricing and the quality of the work. They were prompt, good and responsive communicators, arrived when they said they would and did a meticulous job. Their prep work was more thorough than anyone else has ever done (even cleaning the underside of the deck) and the sanding made the surface look beautiful.....all before the two coats of pain they applied. I was doubly impressed by not only how professional and courteous they were to me, but how kind they were to one another. I would highly recommend them and will certainly return as a customer in the future.

The work was done professionally and thoroughly. The deck looks great and all areas that had problems have been repaired. The price was worth it for all of the work it took, far cheaper than replacing the decks.

In short, it went Great. Mynor and his Team went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations in every way. Mynor is very responsive and communicated very well throughout the process. They started by helping to move items off the deck and completely pressure washing everything. As mentioned they fixed a couple broken / dry-rotted boards. They sanded the deck and all railings as well as a beam that wasn't even part of the deck. The coated the deck following sanding with opaque stain of our choice. They sprayed all railings and boards very thoroughly. At the end of the job one of the kids said "the deck looks like new"! We're very pleased with the outcome and will recommend MH Deck Refinishing to friends and family. I would give Mynor and his Team an A+ if I could!

We had an approx 13x30 foot hardwood deck that had never been professionally finished. A previous unprofessional sanding job left gouges and scrapes that looked awful. Mynor and crew sanded it down (a really tough job) and then refinished it. When my wife and I expressed disappointment with the color (which we had previously approved!) Mynor went down to a supplier and remixed the stain for the second coat. They went beyond what would be expected to satisfy us.
Mynor can be a little tough to schedule. He is heavily booked and the weather impacts when he can do the work. But his communications are good and they show up when promised. And then stay until the job is finished. (And, they are really nice guys!)

Overall very satisfied. It took a few months until they were available, but then they came and quickly did the job. They were flexible and able to make some changes to the plan on the fly. Quality of the final result was great. Cost was competitive compared to a few other bids I received.

They power washed the deck, taking a day to do so.....Its not a small one. After it dried for a couple of days of Seattle sunshine, they sanded the entire surface, including sides of deck, railing and around some rather ornate wrought iron attachments. We were flabbergasted!! The deck looked like newly installed raw wood. We frankly never expected it to be sanded to absolutely raw wood. Next they applied two coats of a custom mixed oil based coating. When they finished it looked like an totally new deck! Ubelievable!!!! The team was friendly and anxious to please. My wife and I are in our seventies, somewhat handicapped, and could not move all the furniture and plants off of the deck ourselves. By plants I mean a large Palm, a large hydrangea and so on. They happily moved everything off the deck and then returned after several days of drying to put it all back on the deck! Anyone looking for quality work should stop here!

They were very professional. Mynor came out and spent time going over all that needed to be done. When they said they were going to show up they were always on time. The deck was in very bad shape and now it looks new. I am very happy with the service and the finished job. I plan on using them for future maintenance. I highly recommend them.

A great company to work for. Mynor and all of his staff were easy to work with and did a beautiful job. They even came back and brought up the heavy glass patio table to the deck. I will use them yearly for maintenance.

Excellent. John came out for an estimate within a hour of calling him. He clearly explained the pros and cons of the various alternatives and provided a written estimate before leaving. His two man crew were prompt, courteous, professional, and focused on providing quality work. The original estimate covered only the back porch. I added the front porch work and outbuilding when the crew showed up to begin. John accommodated our request and quickly gave me a revised estimate. The work was finished on schedule and is top quality.
