Pacwest Floors of Bothell is more than just a flooring store. We are a smaller company with the same pricing as a larger store or chain. What that means is that you get the unbelievable pricing like a chain store, but receive the attention to detail and customer service that the larger stores sometimes struggle with. Our appointment only showroom offers a large selection of every type of floor-covering and counters. Pacwest also has the expert installation crews that they have been working with for over 20 years and the owner of the company has been in the industry for 35 years! We guarantee you will be thrilled with both the pricing and customer service!
Unless combined to other work or repeat business- Hardwood refinish jobs less then 500sf, Small vinyl jobs, Carpet jobs less then 100sy, Flooring repairs, Installation only jobs, small material only orders, Design and Consultation only jobs, Bathroom counters only, and Tile jobs less then 150sf (although we might consider based on scope of labor and materials).
We stated the process August 7th; they started installing the floors on November 4th and 5th but could not finish the strip by the door until December 17th. They finally came back on January 22nd to shorten a door that would not close because the floor was too high. The installers were excellent and did a great job of installing the floors which came out looking terrific. Unfortunately there was almost no communication from Pacwest during this time, which is in sharp contrast to Northern Pacific Exteriors who installed a new roof for this Fall; we received a phone call every evening to see how things were going. Fortunately the majority of the work on the floors was completed quickly and we were not terribly inconvenienced. In fairness I believe that the problem stemmed from a salesman that was new to the business. We would use them again because they did do a great job of installation.
Description of Work: Salesman was new to the business and we had to make several trips to their store before we were able to order.

They were to tile our laundry room and repair tile (regrout) an existing shower. First let me say that the tile job in the laundry room turned out excellent. It looks great. Unfortunately the situation and time frame in which the job was done was ridiculous. |The Monday before Thanksgiving we scheduled the first day of the installation. The installer came around 10am that day, we talked a bit, he laid out some tile for us to review, then said he had to go to Lowe's to pick something up, in which he never returned. We never got a call explaining what had happened or when he would come back. Tuesday morning I get a call from the installer's boss stating that I had probably already heard that the installer had a personal issue he had to attend to and he wasn't sure when he'd be back. I explained that this was the first phone call we had gotten since the installer left, so no, we hadn't heard from anyone until then. Thanksgiving went by and we got a call late Friday that hopefully the installer would be here on Monday. Monday comes and he's been assigned a follow up to another job. I'm told there is a 95% chance that he'll be here on Tuesday. Tuesday is a no show. I'm told Wednesday will be the day. He comes in Wednesday, works most of the day, but can't finish (due to material setup) until Thursday (which I would expect). The installer comes in Thursday to finish the tile work and start the regrout and caulking on the existing shower tile. He's halfway done and runs out of caulking. He needs to make another trip to Lowe's. He never came back. I haven't heard a word from him or anyone from the company since. |Regardless of the no show, I'm still amazed that a company can offer a promo job to increase their exposure to new clients, but can't call to follow up afterwards to see how the job went or whether we were satisfied or to just get a referral. Poor marketing and job execution. |One of our frustration points is that we had cleaned out the laundry room and no longer had access to a clothes washer and dryer for 10 days on a job that should have taken 2. A lot of this could have been avoided with the correct amount of communication between the company and their client.

Will, the installer, child hit his head on the playground during the job and he had to go to the hospital to attend to him. The customer knew of this and I guess he did not understand the circumstance. His child is OK but the job had delays because of this unfortunate circumstance. Thanks Eric
That worked out fine. My husband was here when the company came out. They installed carpet in about 5 rooms and we had to pay additional for the additional carpet. They did give a discount for that though. The carpet looks excellent. They also did the bathroom flooring for us as well. There was a part where the flooring was buckling and we had to call them back to fix that.

The floors were to be done while we were on vacation and unfortunately, there was a problem right from the start as we gave Cory (PacWest's rep) the wrong key!! Luckily we were able to get the correct key to them and they were able to still complete the work although they were delayed by a day (Our fault!!) Upon our return, we were disappointed to find that there were many imperfections in the overall look of the floor (brush marks, dings). We contacted Cory, and in turn he contacted, James, the refinisher. James came out to look at the floor and agreed they needed to be spot sanded and an additional coat of finish put on. Unfortunately, this meant a night out of the house, but PacWest, realizing this was an imposition, deducted a portion off our final billing. When we came home to the floors "a second time" we were very happy with the outcome. Would we use this company again, by all means!! Thank you PacWest Floors and More for a great job. We love how the floors look!

We were very pleased with the guidance and scheduling done by Corey and the installation done by Peter. The job was skillfully and professionally done, and we really like the look of our new floors. We have no complaints and we liked the calm, friendly manner and the expertise displayed by both these individuals. It was a 3-day process, as we had been told it would be, and this worked out fine for everyone's schedule, including ours. Thank you! We are happy.

The company was supposed to contact me within a couple days of my purchase but they did not. When they finally did, the number that they gave me was wrong. I let them know but didn't hear back right away. After finally getting the right number and setting up the consultation I found out the carpet and pad that were in the deal were very low-end products and I would have to upgrade both. It just seemed like a trick to get them in the door to sell me the actual good products.

I contacted this customer on a Monday after the purchase on the Friday the week before. I admit that I gave him the wrong number for Corey (I made a typing error). Again, I encourage people to please read the big deal product and labor information before you purchase. Angie's List writes the adds and makes sure that they have every detail clearly stated. The fact that people purchase these deals, don't read the details, then write bad reviews about my company is frustrating to say the least.

I wanted to have the hardwood floors in our 3 small bedrooms refinished in our home. I phoned and left a message describing what I was looking for, then emailed and gave the same description. I did not receive a response back from the company. After waiting for a response, I used another company. I will not use PacWest Floors of Bothell ever again for any work. Very unprofessional of them.

This customer called in June when my father was in the hospital and I was taking care of him. I wasn't able to do any new business at that time. I'm not sure why he waited 5 months to write a review? Maybe this customer had someone else do the work and it didn't go so well? Please note that most of our negative reviews are from customers that we did not do any work for.

Corey worked with us on a tight installation deadline to get the floor installed two days before we moved in. We gave him less than a two week lead time and he fit us in to his schedule. He even worked on his day off to get the materials into the house a couple days before the installation to let the wood acclimate to the house. They did a flawless installation and I highly recommend PacWest Floors and More.

We were very impressed right from the initial contact. We were well educated on our hardwood options and the pros and cons of each option. We had several estimates done, but elected to go with Pacwest Floors. We worked with Corey, the representative who did the estimate, to select the wood and the finish we wanted. We were very specific in our requirements and Corey went the extra mile to find the product that met our requirements. All the charges were explained in detail. There were no surprises. The installation crew was on time and ready to work as soon as they arrived. They ran into several challenges along the way, but handled each professionally and to our complete satisfaction. I have some skills in woodworking and I was very impressed with the precision and workmanship the crew displayed. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. We highly recommend Pacwest Floors to anyone needing new floors.

The reason that she was disappointed is that she did not read the details of the program. She basically wanted exotic hardwoods for the same price as standard hardwoods. We exhaustively tried to help her find something that would work for her but she got frustrated with the amount of money she would have needed to spend to account for her taste.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I paid an extra $400 for them to move the furniture. The guys that did the installation were very professional and really did a great job. We had talked to the salesperson about having the stairs done at the same time and we were told that would be an extra fee. We were fine with that but they didn’t bring that carpet out, they just want me to come out and do the stairs so I was a little disappointed in that. We live in the eastern suburban area in Seattle and he kept telling us about how far they had to go. Honestly, I don’t care. If they don’t want to be coming that far, they should say so in the ad. I could have gone to Lowe’s for the same price. The actual installation was an A. Everything they said they would do, they did except with the issue about the stairs. The work was done on time. The guys were very personable and that was all good.

I should have not been too surprised with how things turned out. They had an Angies list deal which I called on and they set up an appointment, I gave them a max budget and he said okay. They came out measured and asked what types of flooring I wanted, but didn't check level on floor to confirm if laminates could be installed. A couple days later I got a call to come up north to look at my options which I assumed would be in the price range I had stated. I looked at some options in the range the salesman said were in my range and then some that were outside it as well. A week or so later I received my quotes after being told i would have to level my entire basement which I later came to discover wasn't the case at all, just an up sell. All the quotes were well above my maximum budget and when I told him that he stated that he had not pointed me to the higher end product. Which in theory was true. But even the ones he showed me that were supposed to be in my range were still a $1000 over my budget. I found the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth as this company came as Angies List highly rated provider.

This customer, in my 28 years of experience, needed his floor leveled to make the job come out correctly. This of coarse resulted in a higher quote then was in his budget. The fact that some other company did not recommend this should not have resulted in such a negative review. But what am I supposed to do? To do a job incorrectly to make a customer happy at the moment is not a good business plan, nor is it a service to the customer.

They were wonderful. After getting in contact with the estimator, Eric, he came out with samples and had exactly what I'd had in mind. t is beautiful and is the blonde color bamboo as opposed to anything else like carbonized, etc. The day after I met with Eric, the guys delivered the flooring in stacked cartons so the wood could acclimate. A week later, they came to install the flooring. They were on time and friendly and got to work right away. I couldn't take much time off work so I left while they worked on the floors all day. They even moved my piano for me. By the time I got home, they were more than 2/3rds done and only had a bit more to do. It looked just beautiful. They moved my stove and refrigerator out of the way so there is the bamboo flooring underneath both appliances. They made sure that my cat stayed in the bedroom/master bath so he couldn't get outside (he's an indoor only cat). I couldn't ask for better installers. I just love my new floors, I wish everyone could have this done (or refinished floors). When I re-do the carpeting in the 2 bedrooms, I may have PacWest Floors do it. They are excellent and have lots to choose from.

A part of our downstairs had hardwood flooring. When we needed to replace the carpet on the remainder, we decided to go with all hardwood. PacWest installed the new hardwood, blending it in with the original hardwood. They then sanded the whole floor, stained it, and put on a three coat Swedish finish. To accomplish this, they also removed old baseboards, and replaced with new. This was a two week project, and I can't say enough about the professionalism of the team that worked in the house. When something takes this long, the personalities and work ethic of the workmen make a huge difference. With eight years of experience in hardwood flooring, Josh was present every day. We had lots of confidence in him and the young man who laid the floor with him. They were unfailingly friendly, cheerful and informative. Other workers came as needed, and all of them were very good. The floor looks beautiful.

I would highly recommend PacWest and the hardwood floor team because they were very professional and easy to work with on this massive project They arrived on time every morning, keep me up to date on materials, process, installation, sanding and finishing. James and his hardwood flooring team were great to work with and very knowledgeable on the care and maintenance of this particular Cherry flooring. They always cleaned up after the day to my satisfaction. They put on a mat finish instead of a glossy finish and it looks great. Eric was always available by person, phone, email and responded promptly about materials and delivery times. The tile team were good and did a good job installing the tile. Scott who oversaw the project could of been at the site more because if I wasn't home when they installed the utility and bathroom tile then it would of been wrong tile, Also felt that Scott complained too much about the work involved in ripping up the old tile that had cement backing. I am very happy with all the floors, hardwood and tile. I might add that Eric helped me pick the utility and bathroom tile and quartz counter and it looks great.

I wanted to support a local company. I saw their Angie's list sign. I stopped in with my samples. The owner was busy with contractors and I just studied his samples. He was courteous, but didn't seem particularly interested in making sure I didn't leave the store. Eventually when the contractor left, he helped me in between phone calls, and helped me find tile which matched the higher end products I brought in. We set an estimate appointment at my home. He came, but was late, and I had to call him to make sure he was coming at all. I was a little chagrined because I had changed my schedule to accommodate him. He took the measurements and within a day or two he provided a very reasonable estimate. After several days I accepted it, but wanted to wait for a month for installation till I returned from traveling. That seemed fine. Installation day....the workers showed up to year out the floors. The foreman was bilingual..English and Russian, but he left, and the worker that stayed in the house spoke no English. So it was hard to communicate. And I work with immigrants for a living, so I get this, but this man was very hard to communicate with. At one point after he had torn out the toilet...he to,d me that the seal was old, and tried to tell me to go to Home Depot and get another one. I told him that was his job, not mine. He left and the house was filled with dust. Then on the second day he returned to lay the new flooring. He told me he didn't have much sleep because he also worked at night. Yes, by this time, we were beginning to understand each other. That info did not increase my confidence in his alertness. The bathroom tile looked good, post installation, and yes, he did have to go and buy a new seal. The kitchen was a different story. He rushed to work on it. I waited a day to see how it looked once the grout had dried and the grout was two different colors and it was uneven. i told him that, and he said not to worry. He would check the next day. The grout was still the same. He came and put more grout. It still looked bad. I complained to the foreman who seemed too busy and rushed to care. He said to let this batch dry. I also complained to the foreman about that and about the fact that they had put down no wooden or metal dividers over the entrances to the bathroom and kitchen floors, where they met the oak flooring. They had torn out and had tossed the old ones. The worker told me to go to Home Depot and get some. I was furious. I called the owner, who asked me to take photos of the door fixtures so he could pick something out that matched. The foreman returned the next day to install the tasteful dividers which the owner had selected. I complained again about the grout. Then I heard nothing for several weeks. No bill, either. I had a dinner party. My guests noted the bad grout and agreed that I wasn't picky. Finally, I get a bill, and I complain to the owner...it is now thanksgiving time. I find some grout missing in the bathroom as well. I I send the owner photos of the bad grout. The owner apologizes. Suddenly, the worker shows back up and fixes the bathroom, and redoes the portion of the kitchen grout which is bad. He leaves. It dries. The bathroom looks good. Half of the redone portion in the kitchen looks good, the other part looks bad still. I complain. The owner tells me i must have a draft. i say that yes, i do, but I tell the owner that the worker is rushing too fast. On the portions which looked good he had used a hair dryer to help dry them. But on the other parts, no hairdryer. The worker returns yet another day to finish the last bad section with his hairdryer. It is now close to Christmas. Finally it is done. My Christmas guests agree that it is now done correctly. I pay the rest of the bill in January. They have had good reviews. Maybe my experience was an anomaliy but I am not sure I can recommend that kind of service to my friends. I would use them again, but cautiously. Maybe I am too small of a client for them.
Description of Work: At the shop they helped me find similar products to the ones I had brought in from a more high end firm...kitchen and bathroom tile for the floors. The owner came to the house and gave me an estimate. I accepted it after several days. We set up an installation date and the workers came, tore out the old tiles, put new bases down, and then laid the new tile.
Worked with the team at Pacwest to install Hardwood Floors throughout the 1st floor of our house and stairs with some carpet on the 2nd floor. In short, I couldn't be happier with the results...the floors look incredible. I were super impressed with the competitive price as well as the flexibility of the team to install on a restrictive timetable (especially considering it was in the middle of the Holiday season). I would definitely recommend Pacwest for post-finish hardwood flooring.
