The technician was great. Explained to me what the error codes on the machine meant, showed me what type of maintenance I needed to do on the machine and explained a lot about the machine to me.

Great communication and speedy service. They came out and repaired my Xterra elliptical under warranty. The tech was able to answer all my question and even showed me how to grease the rails periodically to reduce noise.

The technician arrived on the scheduled date and time. He was very polite and knowledgeable about his work.
He first checked the unit, and confirmed the problem. With over 20 years having worked in the business, he explained how the different components worked together, and what he would be doing.
He replaced the controller unit first, but took a picture of the wiring hook-ups to ensure that they all would be correctly re-installed. He checked out the new controller, but the problem still persisted.
As it turned out, the speed sensor was the problem. It is a little steel gizmo that is pulled up by a magnet as the treadmill roller wheel revolves, and is pushed down again by an internal spring. Over time, the spring in the sensor can break, not allowing the mechanism to function.
After replacing the sensor, the treadmill worked perfectly again. Just to be thorough, he also replaced the drive motor, re-adjusted the drive belt and lubricated it. He vacuumed out the internal components and wiped the drive cover clean. He did a final test of the treadmill to ensure everything was working properly.

THE CORD WAS FIXABLE IN A FEW MINUTES. HOWEVER HE DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT ONE WITH HIM SO WE REPLACED IT OURSELVES. HE DID ADJUST SOMETHING ELSE AND LOOKED OVER THE REST OF THE MACHINE.
