Tree Resource did a good job of quoting. They were very prompt and friendly.

I used the Angie's List deal coupon and found them very professional and thorough; I filled out a questionnaire ahead of time about my needs, an in-person visit, then they scheduled the work. The office staff is very thorough and good with follow up before and after the service.

They were very prompt and very professional. We had contracted with them to clean up and remove broken limbs from our three very tall fir trees (100 ft?) The weather was really rainy and cold but the guys suited up and scaled almost to the top of the trees removing all the damaged and broken limbs all the way up and down. It was amazing to watch them...they obviously knew what they were doing. A lot of people would have just taken the trees down but we wanted to save them. They were very nice about listening to my concerns about thinning out the bottom of the trees...the branches were extending too far out into the driveway. I didn't want the branches just cut off and he did a wonderful job of just trimming and thinning enough so it looked natural and allowed some coverage. I took advantage of an Angies List Special so saved about $200. Well worth it and we learned a lot about the trees on our property and will have them come out at a future time and do some more repairs to other trees. They gave us and itemized list of the cost of repair to each tree so we can choose which ones to do when we want. Some of the costs seemed a little steep but after seeing the job that they do we can understand why...they really take pride in their work and are very thorough. They brought a chipper and let us keep the chips if we wanted to, we spread most of them back under the trees as mulch.

Fabulous experience. Very knowledgeable professionals and very pleasant to work with. I will call them again in a couple of years after my trees have had a chance to fill out again.

They were very punctual even though I believe they traveled 25 miles or so. From the get go they were very professional. I showed them the work we wanted done and Alec didn't hesitate to offer suggestions and explain the procedure. They took down an ugly pine tree which the lower half looked dead. We can actually see sky from our house in the back yard now. Also, over the years the lower portion of a large fir tree has filled in and felt dark and menacing, robbing sunlight. Some of the lower branches were thinned or cut back and it looks far better. Also, several trees had crowded our large cherry tree and they cut back some branches to allow more light. They clean everything up. It was a very positive experience for us and we are delighted.

We have a acre, with a couple dozen different trees . It took about an hour (I had a lot of questions). Their prices seem very reasonable. They don't deal with chemical applications.

All I can say is "Wow!". Let's start from the great experience with their front office: within a few minutes and a couple of emails and a quick phone call we had everything set up for a meeting in the very early morning with 48 hours of notice. Comparing this with the two other companies I had contacted that did not even feel the need to reply, this is an A+. We can then move to the punctuality: showing on time may not seem a big deal, but when the appointment is at 7:30 AM it becomes remarkable. Another A+. Then the courtesy and competence: off the charts. The arborist did a thorough check of all the trees, one by one, educating me on what he was looking for and what he was finding and helping me making priotization decisions. I do have some uncommon trees on the properties, and you could tell that he is really in love with his job and was really a kid in a candy store looking at some of them. I learnt a lot about the care and quality of the trees I have today. Another A+. Last but not least, I always appreciate the integrity and honesty of a professional coming to assess a service and openly say that he would not do any follow up work at least until the Fall. They did not come with the agenda of upselling me needless services, but to perform a professional, serious, honest and deep assessment. I would not think for a second in the future to go to any other arborist than them. They rank at the top of the quality scale for professionals I have met in the last ten years, for both competence and honesty. Highly recommended to anyone needing tree services.

It was fine. They were very competent and did a nice job. They did exactly what I asked.

They came last week. They are very good. They were very thorough. They did not use a chainsaw. They did all the work by hand. They made sure the brush they used was off the street. After they cleaned up, you would never have known they were there. I would give him top marks across the board. They did the work last week. The job was great for us.

I contracted with Zeb to cut down two trees in my backyard and thin others. This was after his company evaluated what was needed and recommended essential actions. Following our agreement to do the work, there were a series of delays due to an ongoing illness on the part of one of his employees. This person communicated by email and was very professional in his communications and apologies for the delays. Ultimately, two employees came out to do the job and after they had been working for some time, I noticed they were not cutting down one of the trees we agreed needed to be felled. When I pointed this out to them, they said it was too late in the day to do the job and agreed to give me a cut rate and return to finish the job. Zeb disagreed with this decision and refused to do the work at the agreed upon rate. I ended up contacting BBB and learned that the only service BBB really provides is facilitating a discussion of the two different points of view. Once I received Zeb's written response, I gave up. It had turned into a "he said, she said debate" and I decided that it was not worth it; I would never use him again, nor would I recommend his service. Additionally, his comments gave me the impression that as a customer I did not have a right to use another provider for a part of the job that required less skill - and was less expensive. I was not an Angie's List consumer at the time, and was surprised to see him as a recommended service provider. Thus, my late review.

Thank you for the follow up email and we appreciate your interest in the quality of your service. Our objectives were met and we are very pleased with the outcome of your work. The initial assessment was done in a timely manner and the person that came out to do the estimate extended exceptional customer service and was very, very pleasant and shared great ideas with us about the best plan for our yards. When they came to do the work they had started before we even knew they were out there and our dogs bark at everything!!! However on this morning they were so quiet that our dogs did not even bark and wake us. They were efficient, cleaned everything by getting rid of all the debris, and gave us instructions about how to care for the moved tree. We are very pleased with the service and the company and would and have recommended them to our friends.

The primary purpose of this engagement was to remove the Douglas Fir. The crew was very careful to not damage the neighbor's house or the surrounding shrubbery. The process involved removing the limbs from the bottom up, then the trunk from the top down. The project took longer than originally anticipated so it was necessary to schedule a second day to fit into Tree Resource 's schedule which was done expeditiously. All of the wood was cut into fireplace lengths, hauled uphill to a corner of the drive, and stacked. Divots in the lawn caused by falling timber were repaired as part of the project and all debris was cleaned up and removed. All of the employees working on this job were professional and easy to deal with.

they came to provide an estimate, exchanged a few emails to finalize the statement of work, came again to perform the work, did exactly we have agreed on, cleaned up nicely. I used this company because of Angie's list Big Deal, however, it ended up to be the same price as the other tree service company that I have a bid on the same job. I don't know if they are just expensive or they increase the price knowing I have purchased a "Big Deal". I like their service, they sure know a lot about trees.

I had previously hired Tree Resource to prune several trees located on my property. They did an excellent job. They did provide me with an estimate to remove the tree in the right of way at that time. The city of Burien did not respond to requests about the tree in question prior to the first pruning appointment.

The crew was very proffesional and did all that was requested. This was a particularly windy day and they went above and beyond to get the work done.

Excellent. Although there was a couple of week delay after I made the initial call to when the consultation and work occurred, the service was A+ start to finish.

We bit on the BigDeal for some half price work and free estimate, but we couldn't get an estimate to take advantage of the deal until we paid $125 for an assessment. If we disclosed the BigDeal to get the estimate, both the assessment and estimate would be tainted by the BigDeal. But we'd be stuck with using the company regardless of price once we committed to the assessment, or we'd lose the cost of the assessment and the BigDeal. This is a NoWin deal for anyone walking into this scheme. Thankfully, Angie's list returned our BigDeal money after hearing our complaint of the setup. In response to Tree Resource below and their followup letter to me: No miscommunication. I agree that it would be unethical for you to tweak your estimate to cover your losses on Angie's deals. However, any discerning potential client will easily recognize that the opportunity for you to do so is there. Especially when you require disclosure of the "deal" before the assessment and estimate in order to get the free assessment and reduced price work you offer. As you suggested, I'm revising my original review to point this out more clearly. I'd also like to point out the fact that there are numerous other well established and highly qualified arborists doing excellent work in this area who will provide a free assessment of ALL of the trees on a prospective clients site (not just one as in your free offer), recommendations for work needed, and a free estimate and timeline for the work. Some even use arborists to do the actual work. You apparently use arborists just for the assessment, not for the work, and charge extra for that service. Obviously, you are not the most economical tree service in the area. Neither are you the only one with high standards of tree care. I'm pleased that you revised your Angie's List profile (after my review) making it more clear that you don't provide a free estimate. That's an important clarification. But there are many more economical tree services in the area that will provide excellent care, with a free assessment and estimate.

Easy and quick to schedule. No need to be home or around, but we were to give some history on the tree. Arborist spent significant time going though a very thorough examination with industry standard scales and ratings that they explained when the final report was presented. It did take a week + to get the final report, but that was OK for us.

We were very pleased with them. I really liked them because they were professional, they cleaned up and did a great job.

Very professional arborists scheduled a walk through my garden to determine the amount and type of pruning that needed to be done in my 1 1/2 acre yard. An appointment was set up for 2 arborists to return to do the pruning. They spent all day pruning many different types of trees and cleaning up meticulously afterwards. I really appreciate the knowledge that these certified arborists bring to a gardener's garden! I will definitely have them come next time I need pruning.

Tree Resources had my buy a coupon on line for $400 worth of services for the total price of $200. I paid it through Pay Pal. Tree Resources sent an arborist to my home for an initial consultation. He spent about 30 minutes with me reviewing my needs. A detailed worker order was sent to me via e-mail. I signed the consent and returned the document so the work appointment could be made. The day of the work the crew of 2 men arrived on time. One man was the owner of the company. The large fir tree was trimmed of storm damage. Two Flowering Plum trees were pruned. The work took about an hour to my satisfaction. I only owed the sales tax once they had completed the work. All the yard was left tidy and clear of all debris that was removed from the trees.

I bought a "deal" on Angies List for $400 worth of tree trimming for $199. It was easy to schedule, they were prompt and did an excellent job. Great Clean up. My only complaint is I spent $199, but was charged tax for $400.

3 cables installed on tree to support trunk. Alec was very conscientious and explaining everything to me and letting me know that I could contact him anytime with any questions. Only negative is the price was higher than he originally quoted. I would use them again as Alec seemed very knowledgable and interested in helping me and the well being of my tree.

I used the Big Deal coupon for this service. They were great and I will use them again. They were really helpful in terms of letting me know of how the tree would recover and what they were not going to mess with and what they were going to do to help it recover. A year later I could see the difference.
