I had a big Douglas Fir that needed branches, both dead and alive taken down. They were great, arrived on time, and got to work. It was very interesting to watch them. They were professional, and answered questions I had. They cleaned up and the tree looks great. They explained that they try to keep the integrity of the tree intact, and healthy. I agree with them.

The first time the job was done , I did not get what I was expected. this was done July 15,2013. the cost was $1,400. After discussing my concerns they agree to come back the second time on 8/20/2013. Cost was about $350. this amount included a 15% discount. They did what I wanted done. It was a job well done!. Total job cost $1750.00. Although I paid the extra $350.00 I truly believe I should not have been changed this $350.00.One thing I have learned is always be home when you have this kind of work done so it want be any miscommunication

I bought a deal from Angie's List for this company based on the savings, the reviews, and my trees' desperately needing some TLC. Shortly after the deal was purchased, Tree Resource contacted me to have someone come out and do an estimate. I really appreciated this since I often let deals linger because I'm busy. The arborist came out and it didn't take long to go over what needed to be done, and I had an estimate in my inbox in a couple days. When the work was done, it was a different person, but he was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He consulted me when he had questions, and he gave me his opinion but also listened to my requests. My only constructive criticism is that there were some wood chips/debris left in my yard which I think should have been cleaned up. Otherwise, I was very happy and will use them again for my tree needs.

Overall, I was happy with the service. There wasn't really a consultation about which trees to install. Instead, they used Google StreetView, said they were on the way to the nursery and would select the trees. I had a brief phone conversation to give my feedback and then they showed up and planted the trees. Not quite what I was expecting from the Big Deal description but the result was fine.

The crew arrived a little early on the date of service. They went to work, immediately. Damaged and broken limbs were pruned. Lower limbs were cut back to open up view. Ivy growing up trunk was cut away. All limbs were shredded, no waste was left on site. This group worked incredibly well and in an efficient manner. I would definitely recommend Tree Resource!

First off, they wanted me to sign some kind of agreement before they'd send anybody out. That was okay, except the online form didn't have any space for a signature that I could find.... So I ended up just printing a copy of the agreement, signing my name on the bottom, and faxing it back to them. I put a note on the form asking them why was there no signature line, but they didn't reply to that question... The Tree Resource guy (Stuart) showed up on time and was quite pleasant and courteous. I told him what I wanted done, and he took some photos, made some notes and said the company would get back to me with an estimate. He later e-mailed me a copy of the report he made on the job, which included photos and notes, which was quite professional. They came back with an estimate of approximately $1400 to cut down 2 trees and haul the brush away. This did not include stump grinding. Meanwhile, a friend suggested another guy who does tree work. He came by and gave me a bid of $875 for both trees, and that included stump grinding. So I had him do it.

I needed a consult on a walnut tree that has branches overhanging my neighbor's property, as well as a number of broken branches. The initial consult was very professional and provided good information about my options - I really felt like they knew what they were talking about in terms of keeping my tree, rathing than just hacking away at it. Overall they did a great job, kept the tree healthy, and cleaned up after themselves. I got most, but not quite all the work I expected (which may be just as well as I may have ended up paying more). I thought I had been clear about wanting the branches overhanging my neighbor's yards removed. I don't know if this just didn't get communicated to the people doing the actual work, or if it is on me - perhaps not being clear and specific enough with my request. It's not as though I was charged extra for work that was not done, so it isn't a big deal. Regardless, I would use them again.

A blight or some other type of disease had seriously affected a 90 foot tall poplar tree in my yard. It looked terrible. A preliminary assessment determined it was type of disease that was not fatal and that the tree would get rid of the damaged leaves on its own. It was suggested that a tree service remove any damaged or broken branches. I contacted Tree Resource and set up a day and time for the work to be done. The work crew arrived on time and fully prepared for the job. One member climbed the tree and began cleaning out the damage while others on the ground gathered up the branches and fed them into a chipper. I asked if it was possible to clean around the base of the tree and up the trunk as far as they could reach. Everything was done and cleaned up. They did a great job. If you need serious tree work done Tree Resource will do the job right and for a fair price. I will gladly recommend them to anyone.

I wasn't there when the crew arrived but my husband was. The workers are always polite and professional. I believe they arrived later than was scheduled but that wasn't a problem. They did a satisfactory - but not great - job of pruning the eucalyptus. One branch was pruned about 6 ft. away from the trunk (rather than flush with the trunk), causing it grow in a question mark shape and water sprouts to form. Was hoping they could do more remedial and aesthetic pruning for an old cherry tree but that also just satisfactory.

In March I purchased the Big Deal package from Tree Resouce. They arrived on time for the consultation and subsequently for the work that was done. I found them knowledgable, pleasant to work with and they cleaned up all the branch debris from the work area. I was very pleased with the price and quality of work. Then in May, my Redbud tree was damaged by the heavy rain and wind. A sizable branch split from the trunk, The folks at Tree Resource responded to my emergency call right away and were very reasonable in the fee they charged for the emergency service. Although the tree had to have a drastic cut made to it, and it was quite shocking, I was comfortable with what they did. Stuart explained to me in great detail the reasons to prune back the tree as they had done. Then, again, in July, the same tree had another branch split. And again I made the emergency call. Stuart came the next day, cut back the branch, Was the damage due to the original pruning? Absolutely not! More than likely, it was because landscapers, not professional aborists, trimmed it previously. Plus the tree was responding to a great growing season, and the branches that broke were due to a condition called over barking. I will contact them in the fall when it is not the growing season to have additional pruning done to the Redbud tree. Tree Resource has given me great service!

It worked out fine, the part of the property look so bad, it has to be a seasonal bug that it worked itself out but they came and clean everything up, shaped up the tree a little bit and clean up all around the bottom of it; they really made everything look good and now the tree is kinda covering the ugly part and it's going back up and looks really nice. They came out a couple of days and I've talk to the lady about having seen that on the part of the website and I know it's gonna be at least 200$ so why not taking advantage of it. I didn't paid any extra because I already determined the problem they don't to do that part, all they have to do is to clean everything up and basically make the yard better and safer. I thought they did a great job! Everything is the way I hope it would and it get even better.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon and it was good. We did the initial evaluation and I received some advice and quotation. They followed up a little later with the actual service and it was pretty much as they had described. In fact, it turned out slightly better on the final cost because it was not as time consuming than they had anticipated. It was an overall good experience. I paid them $583 in addition to $99 which was the big deal offer.

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it went just fine. We paid more than the big deal amount. I didn't even get to see what they did, because I had some workmen come the next day, and they covered up all the things that they trimmed, so I am not sure how good a job they did. This was the first time that I used them. They were pleasant, they were there when they said they would be, and the communication was good, and so I got what I asked for. They were very responsive, and I would use them in the future.

Great! The trees look fantastic and can barely tell they pruned. Afterward they picked up all the cuttings, put them thru the chipper, placed the chips on a tarp in our driveway so we could use them for mulch.

Bought the big deal ($99 for $200 credit) and was contacted by the company the next day. Had the first appointment in a week and got a free consultation on every tree in my yard. Received recommendation and quote in two days. I did not go with all their recommendations, but for the part I signed up, they did the job as promised and cleaned up very well. Really loved the responsiveness of the team. Will definitely use in future.

The consultant was here right on time and my appointment was verified by email and phone. He took pictures of my trees and spent a lot of time looking at the shape they were in. I was happy when he stated what they needed was a lot of quality wood chips out to the drip line and that would help a lot with their overall health. He also advised not to put in any more trees until the soil got into better quality. I was happy to hear the company will assist on planting trees and obtaining good quality trees to plant. I was emailed all the pictures of the trees and the recommendations for each one.

They did a great job! They know trees, and they suggest doing what is best to maintain their health.

Connecting with the office was difficult -- a lot of back and forth voice mails and emails. However, once we finally got something on the schedule, the crew who came out were fantastic. They listened to what I wanted and worked quickly and with a lot of skill. It's obvious these folks love trees, and I had a lot of confidence in their ability to work safely to realize my goal while still ensuring the tree's good health.

The quote was $2200 which was somewhat more than anticipated. I declined the job. I then remembered a tree service (and logging outfit) and asked them for a quote. They examined the trees and quoted $900. They scheduled the job for the following day. A crew of 7 persons showed up in 3 trucks. They performed the work promptly, quickly (and in a safe manner), cleaned up the area, chipped the waste and hauled it away , all in 45 minutes.. It turned out kind of okay. We had a person come out to do an evaluation and assessment of the things that we had we were concerned about, which went fine and I guess the difficulty I had with it was once, I don't remember exactly what it was like $99 or $200 worth of work or something like that the assessment cost apparently was like $125, so pretty much the whole amount that would be used for anything that was done was taken up with that visit, which was good visit and he pointed out lot of things that we thought might be problems, which were fine and so on and so forth, so that worked out fine. When I went back to them to see about one of the thing we were concerned about was we had some branches over hanging part of the roof and the Terminex people said that it would a good idea to have this trimmed back so that there weren't any ants or bugs or anything that might get into the house from those and then when they showed up when they responded about that it was like $360 something additional to come and trim back some branches. It was just hard to gauge what exactly you are going to get for that $200 that you are paying for. I just feel like I didn't want to spend that kind of money in the end to have somebody come and just trim a couple of branches back. I would probably use them again.

They took great care to protect the area around the trees that they were removing and this was no easy task. They cleaned up and hauled everything away. They were very professional and really knew what they were doing. I would definitely use them again.
