We bought one and installed it. It ws very complicated and we had to call for help from the company who made the thermostat. We got a foreigner and could not understand them. we did get the thermostat to work but not efficiently.
We had it for less than a year and it quit working so we called for emergency to G& S Heating. They came immediately checked the furnace to be sure it was working properly and then found that it ws definitely the thermostat. They recommended one of their thermostat that was much simpler to work and we had that installed that day.
We had heat immediately and were warm and comfortable due to their quick response to us.
Great experience. We will use them again in the future.
This was the 3rd time we have had them out to service our house ( we have only owned it for a few yrs). The previous owners had used them and were very happy with them also. They have always been very professional. I highly recommend them.
Was also introduced to their Pre-paid Program, which for our family works out well.
In the past year we?ve needed a heating company to come out to our home twice. First, due to a fire in the electric box of our 2nd floor furnace & most recently for a no heat in one section of our home.
With the first event the fire in our furnace electrical box, the fire started around 330 am, thank goodness we were able to get the fire out on our own before it possibly burned down our home.
Since we run a B&B out of our home & it was November we needed our furnace to work. We called GS Heating in Monroe & they sent out a guy right away to assess our problem. Although they couldn?t fix it that day due to the fire damage they got us on their schedule right away & had us back up & running within a few days. Lots of sheetrock removal & electrical work repair needed.
Now almost a year later we had another problem with the same furnace (we have separate furnaces on each floor). It?s late in the day & this time with B&B guests to arrive within hours, I discovered that no heat was coming out of vents in the guest?s room. My immediate thought was oh no its 40* outside I need heat in this room! So I called GS Heating, the pleasant lady on the other end of the phone did all she could to fit me in as soon as possible. GS heating arrived the next morning & began to assess the problem. The technician (Keith) began troubleshooting & found nothing wrong with the furnace, it was running properly. This then began a seek & find mission to see why NO air/heat was coming from the vent. The technician began to figure out where all of the duct work for our 2nd floor was at but without being able to find the ductwork for the end of our home that is past our 2nd floor bridge. That told him it must be in the crawlspace, so down into the crawlspace he went & sure enough he found all the ductwork for that end of our house no longer attached to the floor joist but laying on the ground. He then picked up a portion the ductwork only to find it full of water. Now to figure out where the water came from.
The technician was able to figure that out it was from our heat pump coolant coil overflow which was blocked by years of dust most likely & the water had nowhere else to go but into the duct work. With this discovery, he knew that the GS ductwork crew would need to come out to fix it so he called the dispatch & set them up to come out the next morning. The tech then made sure that the overflow was cleaned out & he showed me how to clean it each year going forward, which no one had told us we?d need to do in our newly built home that we?ve lived in for 7yrs.
The next morning another very nice guy GS technician (Carlos) showed up to fix our ductwork. He took all the precautions I appreciated to make sure he didn?t make a mess of our home & he had our ductwork replaced & heat pouring into the guest room within a short time.
I would recommend GS Heating, Cooling & Electric Inc in Monroe, Washington, to everyone who wants a company that cares about their customer?s needs & who do all they can to get you fixed quickly. Call GS Heating, Cooling & Electric Inc in Monroe, Washington today if you have a need for their services. They care about their customers needs.
All the employees involved were very professional and careful in doing their job.
The system is very quiet and has greatly reduced our power bill over the years.
We have had G&S doing maintenance on the system ever since and it has run trouble free all this time.
We would recommend G&S to anyone who needs to have work done in their home.
GS Heating AC Electric was referred to me by a friend that had used them several times before. I needed to several circuits to my
computer office at my home. I also wanted them to wire in a generator box. Their estimate was quick and precise. I am always apprehensive at getting work done because I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop and have more charges added to my bill.
Not here, they say what they do and did what they said. They talked me thru the entire job so that I would be completely happy with their work.
The work GS performed was pretty straight forward and their serviceman went straight to work after our talk. He installed the circuits and electrical lines neatly and cleanly.
I am very pleased with how they left their work area and very happy with the quality of their work.
They even called days later asking how things were working and if I had any questions. Very Impressed!
Heating System and Emergency Backup Generator. After spending our first winter in our new home with Propane Heat, we discovered that spending close to a $1,000.00 a month in propane was not a sustainable expense for us. After doing some research on Geothermal Heating systems, we settled on WaterFurnance as the unit we wanted. As luck would have it, G & S was the company that sold, serviced and installed WaterFurnace. Roger was able to line up financing for us and we started the installation process.Installing a Geothermal system requires a significant effort and we were fortunate that G & S chose to document this installation to create a video detailing the process that is now posted on their website. At the end the process, G &S left us with a system that has saved us thousands of dollars a year and less than a 48 month return on our investment. The first December in our new 3700 sqft home, I received a propane bill for $1100.00 for the propane forced air heating system. The following December, after G & S installed our Geothermal System, with the thermostat set at a constant 76 degrees, our heating bill for the month of December totaled $127.00. When we've needed service or any adjustments, G & S has been there for us with a level of service that has been unsurpassed by any vendor we've dealt with over the past few years. We were so happy with the work that G & S did with our Geothermal System that we purchased a Emergency Backup Generator. The Kohler system that G & S recommended has performed beyond our expectations. We had a long list of requirements regarding which appliances and rooms that we wanted the back up generator to to service in the event of a power failure and it was a challenge for G & S to design this system. However, they not only met our expectations, they have exceeded them in every way possible with this system. Their electricians are as talented as they come and the electrical inspector who came out to do the inspection confirmed this.Anyone who is considering hiring a Heating and Air Conditioning or Electrical contractor would be wise to hire G & S for their project. Each and every contact we've had with G & S has been an absolute pleasure. The quality of their customer service is something that is lost with most companies today. My only
complaint is that they don't have more products that we can buy from them. I can't say enough good about this company.
Another exceptional moment included the extra work the company did to reroute the wiring of the entire house to a new panel. The previous panel had been located improperly above a toilet in the same homeowner-renovated back bathroom mentioned earlier. I feel much safer with the new panel tucked under our eaves. I also appreciated Rogers's suggestion that we add a plug-in for the generator we plan to buy so that we have light, heat, and refrigeration should the power go out.
Finally, in addition to the exceptional quality of the company's work, I have to say that the best part of the experience was that it was all rendered exciting and fun. We quickly realized our pocketbook was being respected which meant we could simply enjoy watching our new system take shape. Our kids were treated with good humor too--even brought on over to be shown how each part of the project was being created. They are on first name basis with Roger as well as two of the guys who were here every day for a while.
I can't praise G&E enough. Every one of the employees we had contact with feels privileged to work for Roger, who clearly feels great respect for them as well. This is definitely a company I would recommend to my dearest friend.
G&S has always been price competetive. The final bill has never exceeded the initial estimate. Their staff is very courteous, friendly and very professional. They are always on time, and when they show up, they work steady to get the job done as fast as possible, while still doing an excellent job. The technition always takes the time to insure I understand the work that was done, as well as the detailed billing. They always do an excellent job of cleaning up before they leave.
When the circumstances require it, they have always worked well in cordinating work and job functions with other contractors on the job site. Other companies that I have used in the past, have sent out inexperienced personel to do the maintenance that were little more than "filter changers". The maintenance technitions at G&S are very experienced and extremely knowlegable, with up to date training on the equipment they service. They do a very thorough job of checking everything to insure are components are in proper working order before they leave.
I am very confident in recomending G&S Heating. No matter how big or small a project, they have always done an excellent job!
