We are a family owned & locally operated general construction / remodel company with over 60 combined years in the industry. Although we are general contractors and can do everything, we specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling. We have found that through proper communication and great listening our customers are more at ease and comfortable from beginning to end. It is our pleasure to provide top service in design assistance, material decisions, planning, demo and project completion. We go out of our way to uniquely tailor our service to each of our customers needs, wants and desires. It went very well! Co-owners Vic and Jon were wonderful to work with! Honest, good communicators, hard-working, good sense of humor all around. They were willing to work with me, a nightmare customer (according to my husband) because I see ALLLL the little details. They were more than willing to let us handle the post-remodel painting and baseboard re-installation to help us save money. I was also able to source all the materials myself, another money saver, and Vic was more than willing to offer good advice and quell fears I did not need to have. He was also very hands-on, was here the first day, checked on the job frequently.
We had some small delays and trials, as there all for ALL remodel projects. I stress that NEVER did Vic or Jon or any of their crew cause us any problems.
Vic and Jon have their own employees and also do use a couple of subcontractors. A time or two the subcontractors were the cause of delays or mistakes but nothing major. And they were overall good to work with, as well.
I wish that were true for our city inspectors, who gave us grief on a couple of truly stupid issues. With our contractor's help and a tiny bit of legwork on my part, we resolved it all but did have delays due to the city's non-issues being issues.
My husband wasn't aware how much remodels cost, but I knew it would come in around $20,000. And it did!

It went really well, Vic worked with us throughout the process to determine what we wanted to do and was super flexible with us. We're very happy with how the kitchen turned out. They gave us leads to shop around for all the bits - granite, cabinets, tile, etc. and were very helpful throughout the process and explained how it all came together.

We had a great experience with Vic, Jon and their crew. Our bathroom/laundry room/family room are absolutely beautiful! Everyone was professional, on time and did top notch work. The job was completed on time and on budget (actually a little below budget). It truly was a better experience and outcome than I ever thought possible.
I have to mention that communication was outstanding during the entire job. Vic stayed in touch and notified us of any change or problem. He was always available if I had any questions or concerns. I really appreciated that as I can get a little nervous over all the details.
We intend on calling Johnson and Sons for our next remodel. I highly recommend them!

My husband contacted Jon with a request for an estimate on Fri. He said he would contact us early the following week, which he did, and came over to do an estimate. We felt the price was extremely reasonable. So we asked him how soon he thought he could work us into his schedule, because we had previously experienced long time frames just to get an estimate. He said they could work it in later that week at the end of their work day. Sure enough he and Derek were back on Wed & had the job completed on Thurs! The fence looks great, and from the condition of the yard afterward, you would not know that any construction had been done. Jon was extremely helpful and easy to deal with. Their company primarily does remodeling; and we would certainly use them again for more extensive work, based on this experience.

Overall, the whole experience went better than I could have imagined. Mainly because of Vic's responsiveness and attention to details. He made sure that we were well taken care of; going above and beyond to get all the cabinets parts to look great and fit perfectly. His guys were timely, efficient and professional. Their trim work on the new cabinets is beautiful and looks so finished! We told him we wanted to do our own tearout, plumbing, electrical and painting and he had no problem with any of that. Everyone's scheduled seemed to work very smoothly. having the work done in January/February was great. It's a quiet time of year for us after the holidays so we could really focus on the many decisions that were needed. The kitchen turned out beautifully. I highly recommend this company! This is the second project they did for us within a two month period. As mentioned in previous review for master bathroom job, that we would use them again, and we did, and will for two more projects. This was estimated as a 2 day job. Took a day & a half.

The job went fantastic. Vic's crew are all very professional, dedicated, friendly, prompt, communicate well, and very very talented.
The same can be said for his subcontractors, from the plumber, to the plaster guy, to the shower door installer.
First thing they do, is come in & put cardboard down on flooring & plastic down on carpet. They do a clean up everynight, and near total clean up at end of project. They were very consciences to our cat by keeping front door closed at all times.
Vic himself is probably the best communicator of a contractor I have ever had. He is extremely honest, will tell you the pro's & con"s and not just tell you want you want to hear. He will work with you, listen to your ideas & incorporate them, if it is feasible. That was huge for us. Very trustworthy, & left front door unlocked for them, while we were at work. On top of that, one of the nicest guys out there. He let me do the painting & staining, to save money, and also let me make the dump run, saving me 180.00 in dump fees. I did some of the initial removal, and he discounted some for my work. Plus the Angies List discount.
My wife & I, highly recommend this contractor to everyone needing a great, trustworthy, friendly contractor for their project. I don't think there's any better. There might be cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
We are using them again, this month, for our downstairs bathroom flooring & backsplash, and new floor for our laundry room.

Vic and John were calm and professional. That's pretty key on a remodel. Stuff happens. But whatever came up, I always felt that they were more than fair. The quality of their work is excellent. They are very easy to talk to. Vic really makes himself available. And they continually went out of their way to help us through the process. We worked hard to communicate what we wanted and in the end we couldn't be more pleased with our new bathroom. Thanks a lot guys... great work!

Our overall experience with Vic, John and their team was excellent. They pretty much stripped both bathrooms down to the bare-bones, including removing the tub in our master bathroom. In the master, they replaced the tub with a walk-in shower with tile surround and frame-less glass doors. They installed a new vanity with granite countertop, replaced the floor with a tile floor and added all new fixtures. Same for the powder bath with the exception of the tub and quartz counter-top. In the kitchen, they removed the old flooring and countertops and installed a tile floor and quartz countertops. The end results were outstanding.
Vic was great to work with from the bid process to end of the job. He always keeps costs in mind and assist you making smart cost/benefit decisions as you pull your overall budget together. There were no dollar surprises. As with any major job, there are always small hiccups from time to time. Vic lets you know as soon as he know of an issue and provides you with solutions to how the issue will be resolved. Any follow-up items have been handled quickly.
I will recommend Johnson and Sons Construction to my family, friends and neighbors if they are considering a remodel. I know we will contact them if we have any additional remodeling needs in the future.

Johnson and Sons Construction is in it for the long haul because customer satisfaction is their number one priority. Vic and his brother Jon expertly run the family business. Jon is the master installer and is dedicated to the fact that everything is done to perfection. Vic handles the other end of the business. We hired Johnson and Sons Construction for a complete kitchen remodel and we were thrilled with the job they performed. Jon and his crew (Dean and Al) were always on time, pleasant to work with, and always left things in order so we could live in the house during the remodel. The glass subway tile backsplash is perfect and expertly installed by Dean. Like Jon, he took great pride in his work and that is what every homeowner wants. As with any remodel, there were a few snags in the process. However, thanks to Vic and Jon, everything was rectified and now we have a beautiful kitchen.

The man who came out was really nice. We were at the point in our project where we were trying to decide if we should have someone out to do the rest of the work or just finish it and we decided to finish it ourselves. I liked that he was very forward with what he would do and he was suggestive with regards to the scope of the work. He acknowledged things that we thought that we needed to do and he said that we should not waste our time and money on doing certain things. So, he was not just out to make extra money. He was the type of person that was, "If I do not get the job, you will remember me for the next job." He was not over eager or pushy or rude. He did a great job. His pricing was very on the point that I expected it to be and very inline with the work.
