This was my first experience hiring a roofing company and I got bids from three reputable companies that were all recommended by acquaintances. I chose Blue and Blue because of how patient and professional their owner was with me. He spent a great deal of time when he came out to do his bid to answer my questions and to provide me with a variety of options for dealing with my built-in gutter rebuild. Although they originally scheduled the job for the end of the month, Blue and Blue accommodated my schedule and moved the job up to the beginning of the month because they had an opening. I was impressed by their willingness to work with my needs. The process from start to finish was explained to me by the owner and then the crew was introduced to me when they showed up. All of them were professional, hard workers. If it were not for the noise of the construction you wouldn't have known they were here. I stayed through the entire job and was impressed every step of the way. The workers left the site really clean each day, were polite and considerate and obviously knew what they were doing. They were efficient and completed the job in 2 1/2 days. My roof looks wonderful and my gutters now work like a dream. I so appreciate having the opportunity to work with a company that takes so much pride in their work and customer service.

Since my situation was pretty urgent, they responded quickly. I was exceedingly pleased with the work they did. The owner also made great recommendations for some products. My neighbors ended up hiring him after they saw my roof. It was very reasonably priced and I got everything I wanted and more.

Comparatively, the cost of the project was good. I chose a very heavy, high quality cedar shake. The owner is really conscientious. The crew was hard working, and performed a wonderful clean-up when they were done. In fact, they cleaned the new skylights after the installing them. Also, the company as a whole is very responsive to any questions or concerns.

It went extremely well. Blue and Blue were flexible, coordinating with another contractor we hired regarding schedule and removal of the old roofing materials. All of their staff members were friendly and professional. The completed the job quickly and within the promiced timeframe.

I got a couple of estimates to do the roof job and not only was Blue and Blue very reasonable, they were also very personable and established a good connection with us (they're practically our neighbors). Mark came out twice to do an estimate (we weren't sure if we had to tear out ceilings, and later found out we didn't). Even though we couldn't see into the space between roof and ceiling, Blue and Blue decided to vent as best we could. They recommended a ridge vent along one peak, and 11 or so more vents along the rest of the roof. They would also fix a possible leak in the roof valley where the W metal wasn't installed properly. We were able to get the work done in half a day in the time period we wanted. They were very responsive to our calls every time we talked to them. The day of, Mark noted that he'd miscounted vents and actually needed to install two extra vents and this would be done at no extra cost to us. Mark was really very helpful in making sure we got the roofing we needed, ie. identifying and fixing the problems. The actual roofers were very polite, pointed out a hole in the existing eave vent where critters could get in, and asked if we would like them to fix this also. I would use them again, down the line, when we will have to get a new roof.

Excellent. Mark had a crew come in when I was at work and when I returned the job was done. Other than the new roof You could not tell anyone had been there the place was spotless. I will contact him again when I am ready to replace other portions of the roof.

It went better than I could have ever imagined. They arrived on time, covered my yard and plants, explained everything to me, cleaned up each day, did some extra little repairs, finished the work on schedule, I paid exactly what was contracted. The spirit of the crew was great, they were polite, friendly. They communicated with me throughout the whole project, provided a superior product with not only product guarantees but their personal work guarantee. The professionalism, honesty, integrity of this small family run business is exceptional. They get an A++++ from me.

I found Blue and Blue on Angie's List. When I called, Mark agreed to come out on Friday at 9:30 AM to check the source of a leak into the masterbedroom closet. He arrived early, which I greatly appreciated. First he checked the inside of the house to determine where the leak was happening. Then Mark inspected the roof for leaks/damage. He found that the vents on the roof were installed improperly, which caused them to crack. He took several pictures to document the repairs needed. He waited while I called my husband to discuss the job, and when I approved the repair, he said that he could have his workers come that afternoon to replace the vents. I was impressed that the work could be done so quickly. In the evening, he called me to let me know that the work had indeed been done. Mark was very professional and clear in his explanation of what was happening, and confirmed that the leak had been stopped by replacing the vents. I would definitely recommend Blue and Blue to others, and I would use their services in the future.

My roof was poorly installed by a prior owner, and sprang a leak. I had several roofers give bids on the repair. Marc was definitely the most informative - showed me on the roof what was poorly installed. Given that the repair quotes were in the $1200-$1500 range, and the inspector had mentioned another $1200 in repairs, and there had been 2 leaks in 5 years, I asked for bids on a whole new roof. Two roofing companies quoted $6000, while Marc quoted $7000. But Marc offers a 10-year warranty (most do 5-year) and was very helpful and professional during our visit, so I went with him. His foreman came out Thursday to tarp the roof - remember, there was a leak - and decided that, since my roof was leaking and it was a small job, they'd just do it the very next day. Was that okay with me? Yes! So Friday morning at 9am, the crew got there, and by the time I got back from camping that weekend, they were done. New roof, no damage to anything, haven't found a single nail. They're like ninja roofers. Marc and Jo have been informative the whole time, pleasant on the phone and punctual. I'd go back to Blue and Blue in a second.

Great experience. I called and set up an appointment to get an estimate on replacing our torch down roof. Chuck showed up right on time and asked us what kind of estimate we were looking for. He spent a good amount of time up on our roof thoroughly inspecting and evaluating its condition. When he was done he told us that the roof was actually in fairly good condition and that we could probably go another year or so before replacing it if we wanted to. We really appreciated the honesty and will definitely consider using them in the future.

They were easy to work with and professional. I would recommend them to others.

Blue and Blue was happy to accommodate handling all of the extra carpentry issues that an old house has along with replacing a roof. There were lots of things that only made sense to fix when the roof was being replaced. Other companies, even a big name that I talked to, were uncomfortable with doing much more than the roofing. Blue and Blue had no problem with any of that and fixed or replaced lots of wood trim items integral to the roof. They even removed an obsolete chimney to below roof line which we discovered during the process had deteriorated nearly to the point of falling off. They installed insulation below the skip sheathing in the vaulted ceiling area. They were very tidy at the end of each day and left the property spotless at the conclusion of the job. There was no evidence in the flower beds or lawn that a roofing job had happened. And all for a price that was less than competing bids.

Mark came to look at my roof which is composition with built in gutters. He was extremely professional and patient, explaining everything in detail to help me feel comfortable making a decision. The impression I have of him is 1) He is not trying to sell me something I didn't need and 2) he really knows his job in and out, probably more than any of the other contractors I have talked to. He then gave me an informal estimate that I have found to be well within reason (to convert built in to conventional gutters). Unfortunately, I don't have the cash on hand and do not feel comfortable borrowing the money with the current economic instability. Therefore I am going to try and hold off on having the work done. When I am ready to hire someone for the job Blue and Blue is at the top of the list.

Mark was outstanding. Inspected roof with us and suggested repair we could do ourselves, saving big $$$. Would be our first choice for our next job.

Mark was very good about documenting the damage he found. Taking pictures, so he could show it to us when we returned home, rather than having us just take his word for it. He was very clear about how he was going to try to help prevent mildew and mold in a trouble area in the future.

Mark was honest and allowed time for my questions.

The project went well. We have a small house with a simple gable roof. Mark Blue arrived on time for the estimate, helped me up onto our roof and explained things to me. The crew arrived on time and worked hard until the job was complete. The house is old and they needed to do more carpentry than expected. The bid was $5,500 and the final price was $7,900. Given the amount of carpentry this seemed reasonable. The job took a large crew two full days. Mark consulted with us before doing any additional work. All and all we were very pleased. I wish they hadn't carted off our crappy old vinyl gutters, however: we didn't get replacements up until after the big rains last fall.
