Excellent experience with Krause Painting! They provided a timely and reasonable quote. They stuck to their original quoted schedule, despite having to work around some rough weather. The workers & Evelyn were a pleasure to interact with. The house looks amazing!

Excellent, classy and professional operation. A good paint job is all about the preparation, which they went above and beyond. Crew was nice and courteous and cleaned up and organized every evening upon leaving.

Went great. He was a good communicator and very patient as we selected colors. Also took great consideration for our family needs during the process. Excellent quality at the end and finished in time and on budget. We will use them again.

Steve, the owner of the company came and gave us a quote for painting our house in June.  He was extremely knowledgeable and walked the perimeter, giving us recommendations for some minor repairs needed to the siding.  He also gave us some recommendations regarding paint options and color choice.  He was very patient as we negotiated through the process of getting HOA approval.  He and Betty were always easy to contact though we mostly used email which worked well.  His crew power washed the house prior to spending  two days sanding and preparing the siding - in some areas it was  back to bare wood. The windows were well covered as the painting was completed with two coats of paint.  Steve spoke very highly of his crew and was always there checking in with us and them as the project was completed.  A couple of weeks later a bubble appeared on the front door but Steve was there to make it right, no questions asked.  This project cost more than we had imagined before getting estimates but it was well worth it.  Apparently the paint we used will last forever - we don't plan to paint again for a long time!

After meeting with Steve Krause a year ago, I was convinced he would make certain his team would do a great job and we were not disappointed. Think of all the qualities you hope to see in a job well done and that was our experience. Betty Krause did the final inspection when the job was finished and, honestly, we would never have noticed the tiny details she wanted corrected. As a side note, Renee Adsitt of Color Whiz (as recommended by Krause Painting) selected the colors for our house and we're very glad she did.

They were great!  They honored both of the coupons that I had.  After I called, they were out the next day and they completed the work in a very timely fashion.  I would recommend this company to anyone in the area.

I wanted two paint colors (accent wall) and they were happy to do it. Many deals such as this restrict you to one color. They were also very punctual and the quality of the job was excellent.

Very professional and detail oriented.  They did a beautiful job with both drywall repair and painting.  They are not the least expensive painting company out there, but you truly get a beautiful end product, so for me, it was worth it.

Steve's team took great pride and joy in the work performed. They cleaned up a huge mess left by the previous contractor and blended all the work to make the job look more uniform.
Somewhere between Steve and his team a small issue occurred, but Steve didn't hesitate to make things right. You can find people that have a fair price and you can find people that do quality work, but it's rare these days that you find people that take ownership in error. My project started out as a D level appearance and these guys shaped everything up to the A category.  If every Angie's list provider showed this level of class, punctuality and care, this would be the only resource anyone would need for home care. Best Big Deal experience to date!

Wall Color was dark blue.  Trim is white so edge must be perfect.  Steve sent one of his guys and he was polite, on time and did an extraordinary job.  I will use this company again for my basement when we are ready.  Thanks Steve.

Most if their work was very good.  However, one section of the house was poorly prepped for painting.  As a result, after they were finished, you could see many areas were the old paint was peeling off or hanging down.  And several areas were the paint easily peeled off.  Steve and Betty were very good about coming out to check the house and agreed there were several areas that needed to be corrected.  However, they were booked and the weather was turning bad, we had to wait until late Spring when the weather got better.  An excuse was made that when they painted, it was very hot.  Ironic, because I had talked to Steve by phone during the painting about my concerns of it being too hot.  I also noticed several areas of poor coverage on the trim (you could see the old paint) and was told the house received the two coats as promised.  But since they were not around during the painting to supervise the crew, there was really no way to verify that.  My reality is there is no way I could have received two coats of paint, specifically, on the trim.
Betty contacted me in Spring as promised and kept me up to date on their schedule.  When they came out to correct the areas, they had me point out areas I noticed.  I told them I was concerned about what I was missing because every time I looked, I would find new areas.  I asked them to check every area of the house to determine other areas I could not see. (To my knowledge, that inspection was never done and they relied mostly on what I had pointed out.)  After they scraped and primed the areas, I was asked to review things one more time.  I easily pointed out several more areas which they immediately corrected.  This bothered me because why could they not see these as they were up close to them.  They came back the next day to paint the areas corrected and again I was promised they would do two coats.  After awhile, all but one guy left to work on another job, but I was told the last person knew what to do.  I checked on him when he was still working on what I assumed was the first coat.  He told me he had already done two coats on the first area.  I asked how that was possible due to time needed to dry and he just smiled and feigned poor English. I looked and he had missed an entire section which just had primer.  I pointed it out and he said he would get to it.  Without warning, he was gone 45 minutes later.  All areas had been painted.
Overall, the house looks nice.  Do I believe I received the two coats bid, not in all areas.  (My opinion just based on timing of events and visual inspection.)  Steve and Betty are really nice people, are responsive and will work with you if there are any issues.  I believe the issue lies with them not keeping closer inspection on their crews.  When not being scrutinized, I believe the crew cut corners to save time and relied on customers not noticing things.  It is due to the fact I had to be diligent about pointing things out and a lack of supervision that I will not use Krause in the future nor can I recommend them.  It's really sad, because a lot of the work was really well done.

There were some hiccups along the way but overall the job went well. There was a potential issue and resolving that took longer than i would have liked. This pushed the job out a bit and close to a change in the weather. The crew worked quickly and extra hard to get the job done before the rain came in. One of the crew went out of his way to help us get our new outdoor lights up which was much appreciated. Steve and his crew were on top of things and did the best they could to work around plantings that were too close to the house making it difficult to paint. I love the way the house looks now!

Steve came out to house several times and always showed up on time and is very personable.  His crew was on time, very careful about protecting areas around the job and were professional.  The quality of work was really good, good prep work, good lines and they did a great job with some wall repairs that were needed.  The issue that we had was around the contract and pricing.  We never do time and materials due to having been burned badly once before, so when we saw his initial estimate it looked great.  We did put in one change order to remove wallpaper and paint an additional room.  Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding on the additional cost and communicating with us when they discovered another layer of wallpaper under the first. As a result, the total cost was a little more than double the original estimate.  So, the bid was really a time & materials contract and not a firm price.  We were going to have him do additional painting, but after this experience we were nervous about the cost being higher that the bid.  He did offer to discount our next job, but by this time we had moved onto someone else.  My suggestion if you use Steve is to be very clear about the costs.  Make no mistake, he does great work and you won't be disappointed by the quality.

Interviewed quite a few painters. They did a fabulous job. Competitively priced. On time, careful of plants, respectful, effecient, professional.  They were referred to me and I have referred them on to several others who have used them and had the same outstanding results. Truely a cut above.

Price was comparable to other estimates we received. Steve made us a great deal based on our flexible schedule. Crew was punctual and did a great job. Steve and his wife Betty were great to deal with. Steve recommended Rene of "Colorwhiz" color consulting who did a great job too. All in all we are very satisfied with everything.

Steve Krause was recommended to us by a salesperson at Sherwin Williams. I also got two other bids. One was higher, the other was about the same, but the guy did not return my call promptly or come out for an estimate in a timely manner. All seemed on the $$ side. Steve called back within the day and was out the next. He was very curteous and professional. The workers showed up on time and even worked late on a couple of days because we had some rain delays. Very hard workers! I did find a couple of missed touch ups after they were gone, but nobody's perfect! Their customer service is top notch!
