I submitted a review of this company before. When I went in to look at that review, there was none. Wonder what happened to it?? Anyway, I contracted We HoneyDo to paint the inside of my fence in the back yard. The price I was quoted was $500.00.
As the job progressed, I was told they would have to do some sanding and in order to get the paint to really cover well, it would require a second coat. I agreed to the second coat but I was never told that they would then charge me an additional $500.00 for the second coat. I was really annoyed that they charged me $1,000.00 for painting this fence. I can't find the dimensions right now, but it is just an average fence in the back yard, not a huge fence and it was only painted on one side.
I think I was overcharged. I will never use this company again and am very leary about using Angie's List again.

Response from WeHoneyDo.com Service Companies
"Additional time to do an additional coat and also sand entire fence, versus one coat same price? We apologize if we did not work up an exact difference in cost at that time as the project was already in process for you. Going forward we will try to be clearer in our communication. Thank you for your input to make better for all."

It went very well. We're preparing to sell our condo and were on a very tight timeline to get these repairs accomplished before an open house scheduled for the next day (Saturday). At first, it did not appear that the deadline could be met. However, WeHoneyDo managed to juggle their scheduling so they could send Ivan (our repairman) on only one day's notice. Since several of the items were possible safety issues cited on the pre-sale home inspection report (done Wednesday), we wanted potential buyers to know that they had been remedied.
Ivan arrived on time with a list of the materials we needed. We all trooped down to the nearest Lowe's to purchase the materials. When we returned, Ivan went right to work and worked straight through for five hours. He was efficient, quick and did quality work. We were pleasantly surprised that the cost was considerably less than we had anticipated. (The $600 noted under and quot;Cost of Serviceand quot; included $220 worth of materials.)
I would highly recommend this provider and will use their service again as the need arises. They try hard to work with and please their customers.

The doors placed over an entertainment center were done by Tony Sexton. His workmanship was amazingly good. He not only matched adjacent doors but added a lower track to all of them, upgrading the quality of the whole area. He constantly communicated when he would be coming back, cleaned up immaculately and was extremely polite.
The garden gate project was a little more in doubt for a while. Upper pieces were not initially installed and had to be done with a call back. Some of the 2 x 4s on the gate were not level and had to be adjusted. The end result, however was very good.

I found the company by driving past a business in the Mill Creek area with the and quot;WeHoneyDoand quot; sign attached to a fence. There was an OPEN sign flashing in the window so I stopped in to talk to them. I didn't find a business entrance and knocked on what looked like a private front door. The person that answered the door opened it about 6 inches and said, and quot;yeah?and quot; When I asked about the WeHoneyDo business, they said that there was no business there without any further explanation and shut the door. There was a phone number posted on the sign that I had seen from the street so I called that number. I spoke to someone who had such a strong accent that I could not understand what they were saying so I gave them my phone number to have someone call me back. Perhaps an hour later, another person called me who also had an accent that I hardly understood. I said that I wanted to discuss some work I'd like to have done around my home and asked if there was someone that could come and give me some estimates. They said that there was a person in Lynnwood that could meet with me. The person that I met seemed to be very vague about their relationship to the WeHoneyDo company and I had the impression that they had been subcontracted out to meet with me. After discussing the work I wished to have done, I was unimpressed with their knowledge on the subjects and their condescending attitude towards the information I provided. The cost of the things I wished to have done were about 20% higher then the three other bids that I had gotten. All in all, the experience was complicated and frustrating. I will not recommend them or call them again myself.

"[removed member name], I am not sure who you might have talked to but no one here has an accent... Please let me know as I would like to follow up on this as it is a direct reflection on our company. BTW, the property you stopped by was strictly a garage space for us and is never occupied by us. Our landlords son at the time lived in the trailer. As of April 2013, the property was sold to have Dr. offices built on it so we are no longer there. Our offices are in downtown Bothell at BREw cafe. 101st St. and Main St."

Allyn, the Customer Relations Manager, was very easy to work with, he set up a bid visit within two days of us contacting him; he went over our project goals thoroughly - assessed the space, advised us on how to implement the project. He gave us a quote within two business days. The project went very smoothly - Allyn safely estimated that it would take 1.5-2 days. The contractors were very professional and efficient. They cleaned up after each day and were just great to work with. The final invoice came in 24% LOWER than the bid. Will work with this company again for sure! Highly recommended.

They quoted 2 people for 2 days to complete the work. They took 3 days and only 1 of 3 projects was completed as agreed (the fence repair was make shift, but that is what we agreed on). They left a mess and damaged some of our property in the process (our railing and back door). When I raised our concerns, they made a very small adjustment to my final bill, made excuses and, not so subtly, blamed the weather and me. We live in Western Washington where it rains approx 180 days per year, so you would think they know how to work in the rain, and none of our work was urgent. I explained that we would have waited for better weather if we had known the rain would cost us a thousand more dollars. One of the workers (a middle aged Caucasian man named Karlos?) did not do much work. I heard him complaining about being injured on the job and not able to do any climbing and he spent time chatting on the phone (personal calls) instead of fetching items for the other worker. We have 2 dogs and a 5 year old child that the workers did not consider when leaving an unsafe mess behind on our property: nails and staples all over the back yard and porch. They quoted $2,700, after the adjustment we paid $3,600. We will work with a different company for future projects. I wish we had shopped around more.

I was happy with: the awning design and the finished awning looked like a natural extension of our roof.
I was unhappy with:
- unprofessional behavior of one of the two workers
- unsafe mess left behind (nails and roofing staples left all over; damaged our back door and railing) that I had to clean up and left me with new repairs I will need to complete
- the work took more than 3 solid days instead of 2 as projected (I was present only during day 3; the workers were late and only one of the two seemed to do any work)
- the curtain rod was not secured well and I'm concerned that any pressure will rip it out of the wall.
- the awning was not painted as agreed, but they offered to complete the painting . . . for an additional fee.

"Respectfully, all overages were explained to the client. This job was on a very tight timeline between the move out of the seller and the move in of the new owner. The client also added items last minute that added cost as well expecting that to be absorbed, even when explained it would cost more. Because of the timeline, it did not lead to halting the project to work up a revised estimate, get that approved, and the start up again. Again, respectfully, if you add more it will cost more. Great people to work with. Sorry the expectations, were not conveyed clearly during the whirlwind project that got done with days to spare and completed on all fronts, including all add ons. Very suprised to see this post after all the additional hours I put in to babysit this project all the way thru without not one hour charged for my time..."

They stuck to their quote and actually were a little bit under the quote for what they charged us. They are very reliable and got the work done.

Eric, the owner, is very nice, friendly and communicative. He met with us at the house before we finalized the purchase, advised us and helped us realize what we wanted done. We told him at the very beginning that we were on a limited budget, and asked him to work with us on a and quot;to-doand quot; list within our budget limits. He came back with an estimate that was a bit on the higher side for our budget, but something we could live with. He also said, that he was OVER-ESTIMATING so that we'll be pleasantly surprised when the work is done.

The work was performed very professionally and in a timely manner. We have no complaint on that, only praise for the skilled professionals who worked for us. Timetables were met beautifully and we were informed and consulted with whenever there was an issue requiring our attention.

HOWEVER, during the 3 weeks of the work, we never heard anything about where we were money-wise. We were told some ambiguous things like: and quot;some of the ceiling was very easy to deal with and some not so muchand quot;. We weren't required to approve any documented change to the initial agreement. While we knew there were a few unplanned additions along the way, we definitely didn't expect the bitter surprise that came as a shock for us at the end: Eric was 6000$ (about 40%) ABOVE his initial estimate!!! (remember? and quot;over estimatingand quot;? quite the opposite). He tried to explain where the difference came from, but the plain and ugly truth is, that the initial estimate was just wrong.

Now, was that a scam? I don't think so. To me, it is just poor professional judgement. Eric did say that the final number came out even higher than that, and the 6000 gap was and quot;after discountand quot;. Yet, I didn't feel like he genuinely cared about putting us in debt, nor did he take responsibility for his own estimation mistakes. So we paid him and moved in to our beautifully remodeled new house. However, now we're in debt, we're angry and frustrated, and we will never hire and quot;weHoneyDo.comand quot; again nor will we recommend for anyone to do that.

"Simply put, additional work, additional work, additional work... All requested. All original work with issues costing some more were discussed throughout the tight timeline project to get ready for move in."
