DHT performed a great installation of my roof. The crew worked steady each day, arrived at the job site on time.. I liked all the materials i selected, and was surprised of the quality in them. The crew done a complete clean up of the area at the end of each day., and were very polite. Curtis and team supervisor Ron helped along with their crew make a smooth transition from a decaying roof to a fantastic new roof. I am satisfied with this project. JW.

I met with the owner of DHT on 11/03/16 to assess/bid my roof project. He agreed to meet another company’s quote of $10,269.38. We signed a contract for a roof replacement on 11/21/16. This included: removing 2 layers of roofing, replacing roof with flashing, removing gutter, replacing the fascia, & reinstalling the gutter. We agreed upon payment of 1/3 at contract signing, 1/3 when materials were delivered, & the final 1/3 at job completion. All payments were made as promised. Roof removal began on 12/13/16. Workers shattered our window the same day. It was just replaced 2/02/17. On 12/19/16, DHT asked to replace the house trim (for “a few hundred dollars + labor).” I approved that specific task. On 12/21/16, Owner of DHT stated they found rot on the front porch, though needed to explore for total damage. I explained that day that due to the rot, I would not replace the trim. The Owner of DHT agreed, promising the rot findings/costs by 12/23/16. I called on 12/30/16 for an update. DHT owner said work had already been completed & billed me an additional $2012.30 via text. I questioned the charges for work done w/o my approval. Owner acknowledged completing work w/o my approval or communication & stated he would get back to me ASAP. I next heard from them on 1/10/17. DHT Site Foreman acknowledged the poor communication & mis-bidding the job initially. He stated the owner of DHT, Curtis Thompson, had just matched another company’s bid without verifying it, though still was billing me for an extra $1676.28. I reiterated my issue with work done outside our signed contract’s terms & conditions, “Any additional work or alterations to the above stated specifications will be executed only upon written orders or verbal consent from the homeowner…” I sent a certified letter to Owner, Curtis Thompson on 1/18/17, along with a check for rot repair & trim for $765.00. Work was completed 2/02/17. On February 3, 2017, Mr. Thompson received payment in full in person as initially contracted. When he picked up the final payment today, he acknowledged all payments made to date, though stated he was not accepting them as payment in full. Rather, he was reporting a balance due of $1349.21, again trying to hold me liable for work completed without my approval or signature. DHT may have discovered & fixed additional areas; though I was never consulted, nor given the opportunity to plan for those additions. I feel I am being held liable for costs associated with mis-bidding the original job.

Overall - excellent. They even brought their own "out house" :)

While it took a while 3 weeks, DHT Construction & Roofing owner, Curtis, came and assessed the project and it was done it a few hours. Curtis found a problem and gave me the information to remedy it! Curtis and his team were very courteous and conscientious and professional and I would recommend DHT Construction & Roofing for all your roofing and construction needs!

Curtis at DHT was great through the entire process. He did a thorough assessment which resulted in a recommendation to replace all of the boards under our current roof at the same time the roof work was done. We could visually verify his assessment and agreed with the recommendation. They were on time and efficient workers and the end result was fantastic.

I met with Curtis Thompson, the owner, and he explained in great detail at a level that I could accurately understand the process that DHT was going to follow. They arrived on time and completed the project exceeding all expectations including quality, estimated time, and within their estimated price. The crew was extremely polite and cleaned up the entire work area at the end of each day. I have recommend them to all of my friends and neighbors.
