The price was great, but the quality of the work was variable from excellent to just acceptable. After they finished, the only way I could tell that work had been done, was that the new siding was cleaner than the rest of my home!  I'm glad that I was able to be at home for much of the work, because the unskilled laborers could have used more supervision: for example, they were tossing bricks directly into my unprotected lawn after their dumpster didn't show up on time.  There were portions of the roof that they walked on without protecting it with plywood. The trades seemed to know their stuff, but portions of the new sheathing had to be caulked to fill a 1" gap at the gable top due to sloppy workmanship. They fixed all of the shortcomings that I identified in a timely manner.  I saved $3k compared to another bidder, and feel that they did a very good job.  I would definitely hire them again.

Too many details to explain, but you should not have to watch and stay on the company to do what is right. Several meetings and heated conversations with the owner of the company just to get what was agreed upon and to get fixes after the completion. Weaseled out of some fixes, I just got tired of trying to get what was right. Changed and fixed some items myself rather than have to put up with them again.

Their estimate was over twice as a completely new kitchen from a competitor. They were very friendly and punctual, but it comes down to cost for us.

Everyone, and I mean every single individual, was great.  They were professional, kind, courteous, and did an excellent job.  My kitchen turned out absolutely beautiful, and I am completely happy with everything.  Joe, Total Home Improvements, took me shopping to select what I wanted and arranged for everything to be done.  Sky who was the rep handling my job was great as he was caring, had a keen eye for all the details, and was on top of everything every step of the way.  I had granite countertops installed along with glass backsplash, a stainless double sink, and a new kitchen ceiling light.  Sky seemed to read my mind as far as knowing what I wanted.  Actually, Joe did too.  The tile guy, Joe, was the best ever.  He was polite, courteous, fast, and a true professional as he did such a perfect job that I could not find one tiny blemish left.  I am totally elated with my new kitchen, and I will definitely call Total Home Improvements again and I recommend others call them also.

I haven't hired them to do the work yet.  They said that they couldn't match the handrail style of the undamaged handrail so I am investigating other options before I decide to spend even more money and replace BOTH handrails.

Everything went great. From the sticker price shock (how low it was), as well as the crews working in the house. The only real improvement would be drop cloths. I was told that they would use them on all our stuff. I came home and my gun safe, Harley and everything else in the garage at the time was covered with dust from the construction work. Weather caused a delay once or twice but other than that, everything was very professional and we love the finished product.

They exceeded my expectations.  In addition to being on time, professional and thorough.  In addition, they identified one area which the salesman and I had agreed from looking up at it needed to be replaced, when the workers got up on the ladders they decided it did not need to be replaced and reduced the costs accordingly.  In addition, the salesman dropped by a few days later to survey the job and ensure it met his and my expectations.

Great.  Worked with us with cost of demolition when we did the work.  Prompt communication when weather interrupted work schedule.  Quality of work is fabulous.  Joe who gave us the price quote was very professional with us and very through.  Joseph who ran the crew was very polite and punctual, kept us informed of the construction.  Job site was cleaned of all debris.  We will us them and recommend them again.  Carol was very polite and kind when dealing with her in their office.  Made us feel right at home and welcome.  We like dealing with local businesses because they seem to care about their customers than regional or nation businesses.

Total Home Improvements did a job that was beyond my expectations.  They began the work right away and had the home ready right before my new tenants arrived in the area.  The home looked even better than it did before the previous tenants wrecked the house.  Total Home Improvements were fast, extremely courteous, trustworthy, kept daily oversight on the work while it was being done, even did a walk thru with me after the job was completed to ensure that I was happy with everything.  In addition, when the job was completed, Total Home Improvements gave me a gift card for my membership to Angie's List which I love.  I have recommended Total Home Improvements to my neighbors, one of which used Total Home Improvements and called me to say how pleased she was with them and that she would use them again and recommend them to her friends.  I will definitely use Total Home Improvements again.

Excellent Company and Excellent service!   Total Home Improvements came out to inspect and they returned even faster than they initially scheduled.  They understood if my siding wasn't repaired prior to the oncoming cold snap, that it would end up costing me more money-so they re-arranged their schedule to help save me money!   The work actually cost less than what was expected.   Prompt service, professional installation and a courteous contractor to perform the work just can't be beat!   They even sent me a "Thank you" note for my patronage.   Great company and I highly recommend.  I will definitely be using them for any future home repairs-whether large or small.

I have a window that I need fixed and requires a part to do so. A bracket to be exact. I was told that he needed to find the part and will contact me when he does. I few days passed, so I called to find out if found the part. He said no, but was till looking. I have yet to hear from him.

Barry was our "leader" during the course of this evolution. I couldn't have been more pleased. He's extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and most professional. Everyone with whom I came into contact couldn't have been nicer. Total Home Improvement's apparent goal throughout this building project was to keep us happy while doing the most professional job possible. It worked! We're happy and the job is the picture of perfection. I will definitely call on them again and will recommend them to all. Jack.

to others.I originally contacted the company through AL and heard back within 48 hours.  I had sent a picture of the repair that was needed and received a quote in my initial response.  I followed up with a call to the company to set up the work.  They were very responsive to my questions, although, the start date was a little unclear at first.  I received a call from a rep the next day who clarified everything including when I could expect the work to be done.  The contractor showed up right on time, fixed the siding without issue, and I am happy with the result.  I was nervous that a small job might go to the bottom of the list but I do not feel that this was the case.  I would use THI again and recommend  to others.

They installed a beautiful 6-foot high wooden privacy fence with three gates around the backside of my property. The fence is clean, straight and very nicely constructed considering the shape and angles of my back yard. They cleared out all of the brush, bushes, small trees and rocks ahead of time and marked off the area needing to be done. Within the next couple of days, construction began and was quickly completed. There was a small hiccup where they cut a power line that became a very uncomfortable ordeal for everyone when Dominion ended up blowing all the transformers in the area, but they took care of it quickly and professionally and it barely slowed anything down without me having to worry about a single thing. They also did a few structural repairs to my home by lifting up from underneath my crawlspace where the fireplace hearth had weighed the floor down.. that is beautifully level and secure now. I didn't think they would be able to make it feel as level as they did, so I am impressed! They modified my kitchen cabinets and my Corian countertops so we could fit in a microwave over the stove and so we could fit in a standard sized stove in there, and they did an excellent job. Everything fits smoothly and it doesn't even look like anyone had to cut anything.
The only reason I gave them a B for "Punctuality" is because projects never started on the days they said they would. Each time I was told "We will start this on Monday" it didn't happen until Tuesday or Wednesday, so that was frustrating since I had to be the one to call them in order to get a status update more often than not. But, they were very good about getting things done quickly once they did start, and since most of it was exterior work, the delays didn't impact my life at all.
Overall, I am satisfied with this company and happy with all of the work they did for me. They were incredibly friendly and explained everything in great detail. Thanks, guys, for a great job!
