Scott Foster gave a timely, reasonable proposal and I was impressed with his honesty, integrity, and work ethic. Scott's estimate was very fair and he and his son personally did the work themselves - did a great job and completed it in about 1 day. Not only was Scott's estimate fair, but, afterward, when they submitted the bill, they had subtracted from the estimate the cost of a fence post and some rails that they had ended up not needing. I have had companies add extra costs when they do a job, but never voluntarily refund the cost of some labor and left over parts. Thanks, Scott and Jordan, for your hard work and for your integrity.

Scott Foster was outstanding.  He patiently worked with me when a sudden change occurred and was able to get my back yard fenced in.  He was in constant contact and was wonderful throughout the entire process.  He put up a 140 linear foot fence within a day and I thank him for his professionalism.

Scott did an excellent job constructing a custom wooden fence in our backyard, The fence is beautiful and we get many compliments on it. He also created a custom gate for us and it looks fantastic. Scott was responsive to our requests, and is trustworthy and friendly.  He also accommodated an unusual schedule on our part as we were having a shed built that he had to work around. Foster Fence Company has my highest recommendation.

Scott was great to work with from the start. We had a very narrow window to plan the fence, and Scott was very flexible in coming out on the one day I had access to the house before we closed on it. (I also didn't give him very much notice, so kudos to him for flexing that quickly.) He provided a very detailed estimate with a drawing, and gave us prices for a few options of fencing design/materials. His pricing was very reasonable, and we ended up going with him after getting a few other estimates.
Scott did things the right way and got all of the cable/power/phone lines marked before they started digging. He also came out again on a Sunday when we called to ask him what bushes needed to be cleared and what we could do about a few potential obstacles. He was there very quickly after we called, which was a very nice surprise considering it was a Sunday. He listened to our concerns and took the time to measure and make absolute sure that our fence was within our property line and that the posts would avoid the marked utility lines. He obviously takes the time to plan things the right way the first time to avoid costly rework to the customer.
On the day they started the work, it was HOT. They very quickly and efficiently put in the posts, and we barely even knew they were there. That entire week, we had sweltering heat, and they made no complaints, did a good job, and worked quickly. The end result is beautiful, and it really makes a huge difference for our property. I am very satisfied with Scott's work, and I'm very glad we went with him.
NOTE: I first contacted the company via a message from Angie's List. While I was able to get in touch with him, it was a bit delayed compared to the other companies I contacted. Scott mentioned that he's usually out on jobs during the day and does not get a lot of opportunities to check his emails. He has a small company, so he doesn't have a receptionist checking emails and taking calls. The best way to get in touch with him is by phone, so keep that in mind. I'm always emailing for my business transactions, so once I switched to calling him instead of emailing, I was much more successful in getting a response from him quickly.

My husband and I were looking for a good company to install a new privacy fence. We contacted Foster Fence Company twice through Angie's list and twice by phone. Had to leave messages every time. The first 2 contacts were made in March and the last 2 were made in June. It's June 20, 2014 now, and they still have NEVER contacted us back so that we could arrange for someone to do an estimate. Never even returned the call! Beware of this company unless you don't care that they won't contact you.

Mr. Foster gave me an item by item estimate for the needed gate, posts, and rails to create an entrance to the easement land on the back of our property. I needed to be able to get equipment back there to clean up the area and keep the grass cut. His estimate was the most reasonable of three and I accepted his proposal.
Due to the height of the fence, a custom gate was made by Mr. Foster. This gate blends in and gives me the needed access. He called to arrange a convenient time for the work to be done, arrived on time. Two helpers arrived and very quickly had the new top rail, posts and gate installed and ready for use. The area was cleaned up and all scrap materials were hauled away. They even cleaned my driveway where debris from the old rails left a trail.
The men worked the entire time they were here, I did not hear any unacceptable language or music nor did I see a cell phone. They concentrated on the job, cleaned up and let me know when it was ready for my approval. They did an excellent job.

We closed on a house 17 days before my husband and I got married, so we had Scott come out pre-closing to give us an estimate. We also had another estimate, Scott gave us the best price out of the two - I think we got a little break because we live in his neighborhood and his travel costs would be minimal. Even without the break, it was definitely an appropriate estimate based on our research and the other estimate we got. We really wanted to have the exterior fence done before we moved in because we have two dogs and we share a fence line with 5 very vocal dogs and hoped the visual barrier would help keep everyone on calmer terms. Scott started a week after we closed on the house and was done with the exterior fence other than our custom gates within a week, give or take a day. The gates were installed promptly after we received them and everything we done before we left for our wedding. Due to our out-of-town wedding and some weather issues and determining the final design, the interior fence was completed after we moved in, but was done within a few days once he was able to get started. Scott was very responsive to all our calls and questions and worked with us to find a solution that would work even though he hadn't done one of the hog wire fences before in the design we wanted...and then one of our over-eager pups blasted into the interior fence before she could realize that the hog wire had been installed and Scott even came out the same day to fix it back up for us. Overall a pleasure to work with and the work was done well. Both fences are very sturdy and we anticipate enjoying them for years to come. Many thanks to Foster Fence for helping us meet our deadlines when things were pretty hectic!

We have a very large back yard, with a chain link fence around 2/3 rds of it. On the one long side, it was falling down, but it was the neighbors fence, and they did not want to do anything with it. We also have a huge oak tree that is right in the middle of the fence line. Plus, the back fence had had 2 trees fall through it in previous years from various storms, so it needed repair. We now have a puppy, and needed to have the fence installed/repaired. So not only did they repair the back fence, but they installed the side fence adjacent to the neighbors fence, so they were okay with it. They also did a wonderful job going around the oak tree, making it look beautiful. The entire yard is secure, and our puppy is safe to wonder free now.

Scott Foster was quick at responding to the phone message I left asking for an estimate. He arrived when he said he would, and he could not have been more delightful to talk with, to get fencing suggestions from, and to give me an estimate. I was hoping to have the fence installed immediately, but was a bit surprised at the cost. It is the only estimate I have gotten so far. I would love to have him fence my front yard, but it just is a little too much for my budget right now. If I do get other estimates and they are in the same ballpark as his, I would definitely want him to do the job when I can afford it.

I contacted Foster Fence Co. after experiencing repeated no-shows by another fence company. Mr. Foster came right out measured and gave me an estimate which was approximately $300 less than the company I was going to use. The work began about three weeks after I accepted the estimate. During that time Mr. Foster contacted the city utility department who came out and marked off my property with paint depicting the various underground utility pathways. Mr. Foster and his partner arrived in the morning of the start day and removed the old post and rail and wire fence and neatly stacked it on the curb. (He could have removed it for an extra cost but I decided to let the city take care of that.) They measured and marked off the fence line. They dug the postholes, inserted the posts, applied the cement and lined up the posts. The fence parts were delivered two days later. Mr. Foster and his partner arrived the day after that and built the fence and gates one picket at a time. The work was completed that same day. I was astonished at the new look of the privacy fence and my yard. They did a great job, great quality work.

They did a good job and I like them. They are very personable. They are willing to work with me to get a better price because the initial estimate was higher. I told him that I really like to go with you because you have an A rating and I want to do business with you but you have the highest estimate. He said, "Let me see if I can find a less expensive fence to work with." and he did. He came up with one and it is beautiful. He did a good work and I am completely happy with it.

call returned promptly, work done quickly, very nice man who stated his minimum starting charge for any job was $175.00 We needed the work done and weren't quite sure how extensive the problem was so we agreed to the price as he was to see if there were other posts that needed to be re-inforced. He did fix the problem but total time spent was about 60 maybe 75 minutes max which worked out to quite expensive The fence is approximately 3 or 4 years old and had been professionally installed

Would love to use him again as he was very quick to return calls, arrived to do the job within a few days of the initial call and did fix the problem. But at $175.00 for less than 75 minutes of work I can't afford him.

Called and made an appointment to get an estimate. Very eager to work with me and was more than willing to come out at a time convenient for me (we did this early in the day). He showed up on time, introduced himself, and got the details from me on what we wanted. He had all the stuff he needed and took the measurements quickly and provided additional good advice as he did so. Once the measurements were done he came in and sat with me and my wife to go over his book of fencing types to help us determine the right kind of fence for our needs (a little privacy and mainly give the dog some room to run instead of being on a lead). Once all the details were hammered out he knocked out the estimate on paper quickly and professionally. He understood that we had stuff to do before the job could start and that we may be a while before we could get back with him for the job (have to get Home Owner's Association approval).
We will definitely use him to do the job and will update this review to include that portion (we are slow and have been dealing with sports, but we will likely have it done in the fall).

Mr. Foster was great! He was responded to our call for a quote within a day or so and came out a couple of days later. Once we accepted the quote, it took a couple weeks to get scheduled in due to the busy season, but he was worth the wait! Our price was reasonable for the size of our yard. Our supplies arrived 2 days before production and they were laid neatly in our driveway while we were out. The fence was put up quickly and looks perfect! It is even all the way across. There was also no waste or trash left over. I would definitely hire Mr. Foster again if I ever need more fence work.

Left a message with him, same night got a call back to schedule an estimate. He kept getting rained out of his existing jobs so he came out sooner than he anticipated he'd be able to. He came out, measured, looked at the neighbors fences. Actually said that the wood we would be getting is a bit thicker and finished than theirs. He gave me the price per foot, and the costs for the gate options. He drew up a handy estimate sheet showing estimated placements and dimensions, and illustrated the dog-ear style to be used. It was clear enough I was able to include it as part of my building application to my HOA. From discussing with other people in the business this is a pretty solid quote to save my husband from sore knees and a broken back. If able, I will update should we choose this company.

Scott was competitively priced and did a wonderful job. He came out one day to install the posts and returned a few days later to finish the job. He was very nice and left the job site clean.

He was very responsive and always let me know the status of the job. His work is excellent. He worked with me to design a sturdy, black (barely visible in the woods) 7.5 ft plastic mesh deer fence that was was less expensive but as good or better than advertised by internet deer fence manufacturers. I highly recommend him and would use him again (and I'm very particular!).

Scott was very responsive and even went out in bad weather to repair the fence. My tenants were anxious to have it fixed.

I am so glad that I used Angies List. This was the Best Job that I have ever had done. Retured phones calls, came on time and did a Excellent Job. Very Professional and did outstanding work. You could tell that he takes pride in his work and it really shows. I would Highly recommend him and I will Definitely use him again.The price was also Excellent.
