Arrived on time, had all supplies, worked steadily, finished and cleaned all. No wasted time - job was well done.

They arrived on time,did a professional looking job; checked out the system and were finished by 3:00 PM.

I woke up on a Friday morning without any heat in the house. I called Bud's at about 8:30 to see if they could come out. The receptionist told me that somebody would be able to come out that day, and would call me at work to give me an hour's notice to get home and meet the technician. At 9:30 the technician called, so I went home. At 10:00 the technician showed up, quickly diagnosed the problem (dirty flame sensor), cleaned it, and left. He was extremely professional and quick. I would definitely call Bud's again if I had problems with my heat or air.

The technician was prompt and knowledgeable. He didn't have the part to fix the issue and had to return a couple of days later. Good job, but I felt their prices were too high for the work they performed.

The crew was very professional and thorough. Unfortunately, we had extreme cold weather during the installation but the crew did their task without complaint. They cleaned up the area and my husband was so impressed he gave them a tip.

Well but had to order part. No heat for a few days.

Did not try to push a sale on replacement of system. The technician let me ask those questions and said the company stands ready to provide any assessment and estimate when needed. I thought the cost of the replacement part was a little expensive but it did come with a two year warranty and the quality service and professionalism of the technician more than compensated for overall cost. Highly recommend BUDS to anyone in need of Home heating repairs.

They were on time, well mannered, explained the work before and after the job and did all within the time they estimated. This is the second time in a few months we have had them do work. We will recommend them to anyone.

My AC unit died at the beginning of July. I was very impressed by Bud's. Not only did they do a wonderful job, while the financing was being worked on, they installed a TEMPORARY AC unit at my home to keep the temperature reasonable until the financing was done and the equipment was available. I liked this better than some other companies that will install it "tomorrow", because then I'm forced into whatever they have in stock vs. what I want. We did have a minor issue with te furnace after it was installed (when I test fired it a few days after the install). Bud's sent someone out the next day and resolved the issue within a few minutes. Bottom line. I would (and do) highly recommend Bud's. When I get my new gas stove this year, I'll be calling them back to my home.

They told me the furnace was not safe to use. It went fine. The people there have always been polite. It was great!

The total experience from first phone call to completion was excellent. They even did a follow up call a few days later to check on our satisfaction. We have recommended them to several of our friends.

The technician very well mannered and showed good knowledge about the system. The technician was able determine that the issue was the circuit board, and that it need to be replace. The technician had informed us prior that there was a diagnose fee of $150. No problem. The technician informed us that the circuit board cost $600 and that we would be looking at about $800 total. Fine, not what we wanted to hear however we trusted that "Buds" was a reliable company and went with the install. After the job was completed we(the customer) decided to check the price of the circuit board online just for out of habit. I was in SHOCK of the price of the circuit board $120 from a reliable online store. Why is it that I just paid $600 for the same part? I totally understand that "Buds" has to make money, but 5 times the amount on the part is extreme! I would fully expect to pay double. The technician took my argument well as I was very upset. told him its not his fault but he was going to hear it. At that point I had him leave the house. I do not like to be lie too, and I was totally lied too. As the customer I do not expect to pay $600 for a $120 dollar part.

Bud's sales staff is well-versed in most types of HVAC systems. They are extremely professional when it comes to explaining the needs and problems in replacing a 25 - 30 year old system. Their technicians are VERY responsive to customer needs, including and especially stop-gap measures to assure that the customer is comfortable during the time that parts are being ordered and installed.

ion A/C not operating consistently. Humidity level increasing in home. Mildew smell discernible in several rooms. Robert noticed that homeowner was participating in Dominion Power's Energy Plan, which was cycling A/C off in afternoons. Too much for the moisture present from the recent rains. A call to Dominion Power changed the scheduled operation and humidity dropped from 72% to 52% within 1 hour after Robert left. Good job.

All I can say is Wow what a professional company. From the first person who took my first call to Scott the Plummer to James the electrician to their assistants George and Mike the entire company provided a fair price, showed up when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave until I was happy. Bus's just became my only plummets, electricians, and heating and air company. Give them a call oh will be glad you did. Oh, and just because there are "A" rated companies on Angie's list doesn't make them better. I called two other high rated companies from the list and I was very disappointed in their lack of courtesy and professionalism. Bud's is the only company you will ever need to call again.

It went well. Everything was very good and they were nice.

Our A/C was running, but not able to keep the temperature in the house cool. I called Buds on Wed. and spoke with a friendly receptionist who said they could have someone out to the house on Fri. and that someone would contact me on Thur. to establish a time for Fri. Someone did call Thur. and established a time for Fri. between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. The technician called about 15 min. before he arrived at 10:00 am on Fri. He inspected the A/C system and determined that it was low on refridgerant and that the contacts and a capacitor were worn and needed to be replaced. Total cost for repairs would be about $700. I asked how much the contact and capacitor repair would cost and he gave me a specific price which I can't remember exactly, but was about $400. Considering that the A/C was still running I assumed that the electrical system was still functional and that the capacitor and contact repair were not required immediately, but that they may go out in the near future. I told the technician that I didn't want him to replace the capacitor or contacts, but would like the unit recharged with refridgerant (which cost $85 per lb.). He gladly complied and did not push any further for the eletrical repairs. The A/C was cooling the house again within a couple hours and is still going strong a week later. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and proficient. I wish that he would have laid out the repair options a little more clearly. For example, "I can charge your unit and not replace the capacitor or contacts and it will cool the house again, but it may shut down in the near future due to these worn out electical parts or I can charge the unit and repair the parts and the unit should be good for a while longer." The way he presented the cost was as if the contacts and capacitor needed to be replaced immediately. It wasn't until I asked the cost of the electrical reapair and chose not to do it that the option not to repair them became clear. Otherwise I was very satisfied with the service. Knowing that our A/C unit is on it's last legs bcause of its age, I plan to get a home warranty (through a home warranty company) that covers all the apliances in the house including the A/C (about $400-$500 per year). In the event that the electrical parts go out the repair will be covered for the cost of the service call (about $75). If the unit needs to be replaced it will only be the cost of the service call to do that as well. This was my plan before Buds arrived and was part of my resoning for not paying for the electrical repairs. The cost of those repairs would easily pay for a warranty on all my appliances including the A/C for a year.

It went well. There was a delay in actual work since weather problems caused some delays not entirely the provider's fault.

They are very good for the most part.

Service was prompt, efficient and courteous. We became Bud's customers after Hurricane Isabel in 2003. They inspect annually and have repaired flood damage three times. We rely on Bud's for our heating and air conditioning service.

I got a discount and was happy with the price. They get booked up quickly.

The last time when the technician came out I asked him about getting a new a/c and heater. He had it set up immediately. The consultant came out and he told us all the options they had to look affordable and work out economically for the house. I will use them again in the future.

Their service techs are wonderful, and I would recommend them to others, and will continue using them in the future.

The service went well. They seem thorough and informative. They provided a lot of information.

Our A/C went out late one evening, we called a few other places, but everyone was either booked or not taking anymore service calls for the evening. Bud's sent someone out within a hour. He was able to get our unit running again in a very short time. He also told us that if we invested in a new system, that the almost $250 service call would be credited back to us through Bud's. We decided to replace our aging 15+ year old system with a new one. The work was accomplished within about 2 weeks from the contract signing, and installed in one day. We have been very happy with the system, the CLEAN ducts and all of the technicians that have been to the house to take care of our work contract. Everyone was very careful to minimize any dirt coming in to the house, and to be sure we knew everything that was going on with the work. Our system has been humming along nicely since it was installed.
