The WHOLE House project with Sunshine Contracting: Sunshine is the best "big" contractor in the area which gives them the resources to get the material and support services in place in a very timely manner. Yet, they feel like a family owned business that is vested in every client relationship they have. The project manager was in touch by phone, text, or onsite every day. The staff is personable, sincere, and pro-active with their communication. The installation team was frighteningly hard working, efficient, and dedicated. More importantly, the work team engaged us daily, proactively, and consistently. They worked so hard that they inspired me to want to help. Cold water and bad jokes were the best help I could do. The team leader looked young, yet, he had complete command of the products, problem solving, team leadership, and daily engagement with this (solid diy background/thinks he knows things) customer. I have huge respect for him and his team of installers.

I highly recommend Sunshine Contracting for the quality of their work, the high level of workmanship, and the skill and experience of their crew. My house is a 45-year-old 2-story colonial with a single car garage. The existing soffits, facia, and frieze were made of wood, and I contracted Sunshine to install over 100 feet of ventilated or solid vinyl soffit material and cap all fascia boards and frieze boards with aluminum. The required work also included the replacement of brick molding and jambs around the garage bay door with new boards and moldings made of cellular PVC, and paint to match the soffits and fascia. The cost was extremely reasonable and very competitive with cost estimates from other contractors. The crew worked to complete the job in one day. They were prompt, efficient and friendly. They did a great job and left everything clean and put back in order. The outside of our house is now essentially maintenance free. I plan to use Sunshine for future trim and window projects around the house.

Sunshine windows and siding did a great job. Workers were prompt efficient and friendly. They did a great job and left everything clean and put back in order. I had the two side windows done a few years ago the quality was ok but now comparing the workmanship to Sunshines its not even close. Everything Sunshine did was top quality. Finish and details are excellent, calking and overall trim finish is nearly perfect.

Excellent in every way. Sunshine assigned a team of three installers who started on a Tuesday, also worked on Saturday, and completed all aspects of the installation by the following Wednesday. The quality of the work, including installation, responding to any questions we had along the way, and cleaning up the work areas at the end of each day helped make for an efficient and well -done project. The lead installer also replaced a front screen door on the final day of the project. In addition, the estimating process for the project was clear and easy to understand.

After receiving bids from several companies, we selected Sunshine Contracting to replace all of the windows in our house with Sunrise windows, do a complete removal and replacement of all of the siding on our “Tudor style” house with James Hardi fiber cement siding, and replace all existing gutters and downspouts. This job was particularly complex due to the style of the house and the multitude of “Tudor style” architectural designs that needed to be maintained and replicated with the James Hardi fiber cement boards. This was also a challenge because the previous trim boards were all rough sawn cedar and the stucco panels and lap siding were vintage 1979 Masonite. The quality of the work performed by Sunshine Contracting was outstanding, and yes, we would contract with them again if we had to do it all over again. Their professional siding craftsmen had experience in re-siding Tudor Style homes and were able to replicate all of the intricate carpentry previously done in the rough sawn cedar with the James Hardi fiber cement board. Any concerns or issues that we raised, were immediately addressed by the team and corrected. The Project Manager and Team Leads were always there and available to us, and answered all of our questions. The whole crew was very professional and friendly, and they did a great job cleaning up after every working day. Sunshine Contracting has now taken us from a home that required outside maintenance on a regular basis, to one that is essentially maintenance free! I highly recommend Sunshine Contracting for any home siding, gutter, or window installation project that you may have.

I was able to make a deposit online, the project manager called me and scheduled my appointment, the materials arrived the day before and were placed on my roof. The day of there was a delay in the crew arrival, but the company called me to tell me ahead of time. The crew worked 1.5 days, everything was done as previously discussed. All removed items were neatly replaced, and the yard was 100% clean when they left.

Still waiting for windows....ordered since March and ZERO communication. I have spent over 20K cash with Sunshine throughout the years and the mismanagement this past year is atrocious. They'll blame COVID of course, but COVID does not stop communications between contractor and client. Unless you want to pay for services not rendered for 6 months and growing - stay away.

Sunshine Contracting was truly exceptional on all aspects of this major project from providing ideas, an accurate detailed estimate, status updates to quality installation craftmanship and delivering as promised at a reasonable price. Their in house install team were truly wizards of Hardee siding installation. Installation was completed well within stated expected timeframe, all while resolving intricacies, and attending to final details. Many in the neighborhood have already commented on how well the house turned out - as we are. They were a hats off pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them for any exterior residential work.

No sales pitch. Responded same day to all my questions during the sales process. Coordinated well after I signed the contract. Smooth transaction. The crew did a good job and cleaned the place well. The very next day after roof replacement, there was a storm and the roof held well. I selected them because they could offer Golden Pledge Warranty, which means GAF warranties both material and workmanship. This was good value for the price as it came with some upgrades as well. They sent the warranty after a few days.

I did not go well. I was promised that roof replacement would start within 2 or 3 weeks but roof work started at about seven weeks. The crew arrived late about (1:00 PM) and seemed to be tired. This was the second job for the roofing crew that day and it was dark before they finished (that may be why so much debris was left over on the property -- it was so dark that they couldn't see to do a proper clean up). The rip up and removal process left the front of my house dirty and a piece of siding was damaged by falling debris. A sunshine crew member or two had to come back more than once to clean up left over debris that should have been cleaned up the first time. I was told that the damaged aluminum siding could not be properly fixed because it was "too old" and could not be removed (YouTube videos showed otherwise). The repair that was done showed the siding still damaged somewhat and the paint scraped off. Overall the salesman and managers were professional but they seemed to expect me to settle for less than an excellent job. I was told that my start date was pushed back so far because the company had too much work and not enough crew to meet their obligations time wise. Yes the company may be experiencing growing pains but that does not justify breaking a promise that was on the contract. I would have never agreed to wait seven or eight weeks to start my roof replacement since I was very concerned about a leaking roof at the time. I feel I was sold this job under false pretense. The workmanship itself looks good so far and of a high quality but the extremely late, pushed back start date, bad rip up and removal and damaged siding really spoiled this project for me as a consumer.

"First of all, we truly do appreciate your business back in 2016 - thank you! Our work orders state "Approximate Starting Date" - the reason we put approximate is for several different reasons (weather delays, unexpected delays from previous jobs taking longer than anticipated, awaiting material, etc.). Your signed work order was received on September 6 and a deposit wasn't received until September 12. The roof was completed on October 20, approximately 5 weeks later. In 2016 there was a massive hail storm that caused extreme delays across the industry - we always do the best we can to hit the approximate starting date but as mentioned earlier, delays do occur which is why we state them as approximate starting dates. In addition, you also changed the shingle color. Your roof is a roof that can be completed in half a day. It is common to replace 2 townhouse roofs in one day. We do clean up to the best of our ability before departing your home and at times there can be debris that we come back the following day to collect if it cannot be collected the day of the installation, to ensure a great clean up. If you look at your trim work order you will see the approximate starting date was 4-8 weeks and we began and completed 4.5 weeks after we received the deposit. In regards to the piece of siding, we did provide you with a credit for the dent in the siding, which you agreed to, to help alleviate that as aluminum siding should not be repaired. We are glad you are happy with the high quality of work and do apologize if your experience caused you any ill feelings."
