Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Northern VA

Water heater replaced by Mr. Rooter of Woodbridge VA, they said I needed $2600 of extra items required by code - this is beyond the cost of the water heater ($1600) and labor to install it (~$600) which was covered by warranty. I paid a deposit on my VISA. The work was partially performed and the technician told me, “the mixing valve did not need replaced” and that, Mr. Rooter would “contact me and settle the charges for work actually done,” since many items on the invoice were not performed. Mr. Rooter did not contact me and charged the credit card that I used for the initial deposit a second time without my authorization. This amount included parts/labor for items not replaced and items covered by the warranty such as installation, and haul away. I did not authorize the charge. Mr. Rooter also stained my carpet, left glue, trash, and putty on the floor, and installed the unit incorrectly. Finally, they claimed items were required by code that may not be.

Hot water heater replacement went very well. Called them for a quote about 2pm, plumber was on site by 3pm. Matched a lower quote that I had received. New hot water heater was installed by 6pm. Kevin and Francisco were great to work with! I will definitely use their services again.

Mr. Rooter plumber called 30 minutes in advance, arrived on time, and was courteous and professional. Super great job installing my new kitchen faucet. Given quoter in advance. Great service. Will definitely call again.

I had number of repairs needed for my master bathroom. The first plumber I called was courteous and helpful but the outcome was "you need a bunch of parts, and you need to figure that out and order them". I ended up lost on Kohler's web site trying to find the right replacement parts for a couple of faucets. I gave up and decided to call another plumber. I contacted Mr. Rooter and they came out the next day. When Kevin arrived he started taking things apart and determine he had most of the replacement pieces I needed already on his truck! Instead of just a visit to quote repairs, Keven actually was able to complete most of the items I needed done on the initial visit. He was courteous, helpful, and explained what he was doing at every step. I'm definitely adding them to my list for callback if I ever need more plumbing assistance.

Outstanding service! Plumber arrived on time and got right to work. Very knowledgeable technician with Gas Certification,. Everything went extremely well. Very happy with my new GE Cooktop. Highly recommend this plumber. I will do business again.

Mr. Rooter provided the BEST service I've ever received from a plumber. Francisco, their service rep, was the most professional, thorough and technically competent guy in this business that I've ever experienced. He did everything by the book and professionally assessed the need, problem and solution at a very reasonable price. The work took two trips (my problem and not theirs) Clean up was also perfect. No complaints and a strong recommendation to all in need.

Dealing with Gas service of any kind is always anxious when it comes down to safety of our family, and not to mention the hassles with the county licenses and codes. We do appreciated for Kevin's patients and time to answer all our questions (I have to admit I maybe overreacted when dealing with gas and water due to some bad experiences in the past) explain all the available options out there and how the procedures to be done ahead. From pulling county license, and to schedule county inspections, and all their detail hard work on some hot summer days without shade outside our home. The entire job was done professionally and way beyond our expectation. Never been that happy with a contractor be honestly and first time taking my time to write any review... While Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and professional, his crew Francisco is also amazing to work with, and would like to thank Andrea at their office to make all scheduling and payment easy for us. Thank you once again this team taken good care of our need, and will definitely use Mr. Rooter Plumbing of NOVA again, and would recommend their service to family and friends, and you! Oh...btw trust me price is very reasonable as well!

It was covered by insurance. They came out at 10:30 at night.

They were good. They were on time. I would use them again, but would use a different technician. He broke the faucet while he was there. He couldn't figure out how to work the push button on the sprayer. He busted it. It was a little plastic part, I went on amazon and got it. It was like $3 or $4 to replace. But it was like he couldn't figure it out for a second. He was forcing it and he broke the plastic button. I said not that big of a deal. But I'm like come on you look at faucets everyday and couldn't figure it out the sprayer button. If you can't figure it out you don't force it, he was jamming at it and it broke off. It's a pretty normal everyday brand.

They are a good and ethical company. I worked with them in the past. They've always done well by me. It's hard to find good plumbers, but Mr. Rooter in Sterling has them!

Greatly appreciated being able to schedule the appointment via email. Technician showed up on time and was professional and courteous. Spent about 2.5 hours snaking the drains. Took care of a leaking fixture that was incidental to the work.

Tech arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, recommended a reasonably priced replacement, and quickly installed it. It's worked perfectly since. I would definitely use them again.

They did a good job. The pricing was very competitive. The work was good. There was a minor issue and they had to come back and fix it. They came back promptly and fixed it without any problems. This was our first experience with them.

Very, very well. Their driver knew exactly what he was doing, and was able even to perform the pump-out from our front-of-the-home driveway, as he had sufficient tubing and his trucks pump was strong enough to do that job.

It went fine. First, they lined us up with a discount at the local plumbing fixture store. Then, they were on time to do the installation. One plastic piece of the kitchen faucet broke upon installation, but they returned promptly to install the replacement piece. I found working with the plumber doing the work very easy.

Called at 8:15 a.m. Person who answered phone said it appeared they had a slot open, but needed to call "the technician" to verify and would call me right back. An hour later I had received no call-back, so I called them again. I found out that I was only talking to an answering service, and they just send a message to the plumbing company. I can't comment on the quality of their work, but the lack of professionalism displayed in not responding to messages tells me enough. I'll never call them again, and never recommend them to anyone.

Prompt, but expensive, though not unexpectedly so. He had to cut into an old drain pipe and remove a large clog, but it was done quickly and skillfully, and all repairs were neat.

Once we called Mr. Rooter, Kevin came out the next day to survey the area and see what could be done. Kevin gave us an estimate and let us know we had options for which gas log we could choose. When we decided to go forward with the project, we called the company and had an appointment scheduled for the next week. The installation went well, and the propper permits/county inspections went through without a hitch and just like that we had a functioning gas log installed and warming up our living room. Just a little more about the process, Kevin was always on time, and communicated extremely well. I never felt like I was unaware of what was going on, and knew that if I had a question I could just ask and get a solid answer.

We received a military discount. I found them to be pricey but they get back to you in a timely fashion. they're very professional and they're realistic with their timing.

He does very nice work, he doesn't do major work and that's the impression I was getting. Prices for plumbing are outrageous. I spent about $900.

It was fine. They did a nice job. They allowed us to use it just enough until we could get a replacement part. It was $85.
