Indoor Air Quality Medics

Every aspect of my interaction with IAQ Medics was excellent and I highly recommend them for HVAC system replacement. I obtained seven estimates (from Angie's List companies) to replace my 22 year old HVAC system (heat pump and air handler) and IAQ Medics was the best including price, product quality, responsiveness, professionalism, and service. IAQ Medics installs American Standard products specific to a customer's heating/cooling needs and not to sell the highest price system they can. They offered the best supplementary features (humidifier and air duct cleaning) too. Dario and his team are extremely professional and work to meet the highest customer service expectations. You need not look further than these reviews for proof of how good they really are including the fact that Dario responds to almost every post, which is indicative of the personal attention IAQ Medics gives its customers. They have my strongest recommendation.

Yesterday (04/03/2018) IAQMedics installed a top-of-the-line American Standard furnace, air handler, and air conditioner in my Dumfries, VA home. The installation team (Chris, Cameron, & Kevin) were outstanding. Chris, the team lead, started with the inside work while Cameron and Kevin installed the air conditioner outside. All three guys made an extra effort to keep my carpet clean - they all wore booties inside the house and put a long drop cloth over the carpet where they walked. And they completely cleaned up the old equipment, boxes, etc. Dario, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and responds to my phone calls and email questions within minutes. I highly recommend IAQMedics for all your furnace and air conditioning needs.

Called at 8am, they were there to diagnose the problem before noon. A couple of options were presented and explained. I decided to replace the furnace. It was replaced the next day. When they anticipated being late, they called to let me know. They were very professional, neat and courteous. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service from everyone with whom I interacted.

Just had our 20+ year-old heating and air conditioning systems replaced by Indoor Air Quality Medics. Knowing this was going to be a major expense, we did our homework, learning as much as we could about HVAC systems, and we got quotes from five companies, all of which are Angie's List 2017 Super Service firms. Dario Compaign, owner of IAQ, was the last person to give us an estimate. By the time we met Dario, we knew exactly what we were looking for. And what IAQ had to offer really differentiated them from the other companies we considered. They're an American Standard dealer, one of the top in the country, and my research told me that American Standard and Trane - both owned by the same company - were the best manufacturers in the industry. IAQ's quote wasn't the lowest, but it was far and away the best value. Considering the advanced age of our old HVAC systems, the cheapest, least expensive option would have been an improvement for us. But we wanted something that would still be efficient years from now and would last for many years to come. We were confident we were getting that from IAQ. Since we were purchasing two systems at the same time - around $18000 (We'd gotten quotes as high as over 20k) Dario added duct cleaning for both zones as well as a humidifier for the main zone. Even without those extras, we were getting good value for our money. Of course, the initial cost of an HVAC system is one important component. But it doesn't mean a whole lot if the company that installs and services the systems isn't reliable, professional and able to stand behind their product. And if first impressions are a good indicator, IAQ is. Dario scheduled our installation for the week following our proposal acceptance, which was especially important given that one of our systems had died the day before. Jim and Rich came to clean our ductwork on Monday and did a great job in just a few hours. Chris and Kameron came to install our systems the next day. They were joined by Troy the first day, since one of the first things they did was remove the old outdoor heat pumps and create new bases for the new ones. That involved digging new holes for the bases, building new bases with pressure-treated 4x4's, filling the bases with gravel, leveling everything, building risers for the compressors and, finally, placing the compressors. A lot of work. And they clearly cared about the aesthetics, wanting to place these heat pumps in a way that looked most pleasing. They're big units, so that was more important than I'd initially thought. They also completed the installation of the first system on Tuesday. Chris and Kameron installed the second system on Wednesday. They were efficient, courteous, willing to answer any and all questions, and made sure the job site was clean and neat from start to finish. They showed us how to operate the new systems, including the electronic communicating thermostats, which we can adjust from our phone/computer/tablet - even if we're away (very cool). The new systems are great. I'm looking forward to seeing my next electric bill, would should be about half of what it's been to date. Lastly, the service we've received from Dario and his techs has been great and feeling comfortable that we've made the right decision. We've texted Dario with questions as we got to know the new systems, and Dario reached out to us over the weekend to make sure all was going well. He encouraged us to text or call his cell any time we felt the need. We knew replacing both our HVAC systems was going to be a big investment, and wanted to make sure we made the right choice. We're extremely pleased with IAQ, and are glad we found them. We'd recommend them without reservation, whether you need service or a whole new system.

They can when they were expected to come and were efficiently in and out, but we have several vents that weren't removed or cleaned at all, and the ducting behind those vents were really dirty. Pictures are after I wiped out the really gross stuff.

We met with Dario, the owner. He explained in great detail all aspects of the installation to include his engineering design that would improve the airflow and efficiency of the new system. The team did an excellent job with the installation and cleaned up afterward. The new furnace is very efficient, so much so that we have nicknamed it "the dragon." We have not yet had a need to exercise the A/C, but expect the same level of performance. We had researched all aspects of the planned replacement and selected Indoor Air Quality Medics based on Dario's detailed knowledge, the quality of the products used, and the competitive price.

I got an Angie's list coupon and called to set up an appointment - which was only 2 days out from my call. They e-mailed and called to confirm, and their guy Brandon called me about 20 minutes before arriving.

Brandon was pleasant and professional and used a pump to siphon out the water heater which is not something I could do on my own since I don't have a pump. I've drained my water heater once before and just used gravity which is slower and not as thorough. Brandon was finished in about an hour, gave me a couple tips, and he was out.

I'll definitely consider using IAQ Medics for any water heater or HVAC work in the future.

Last spring, I did not renew our service contract with another HVAC provider because their technicians tended to up-sell products aggressively and did not always give me accurate information. On the recommendation of my son, I signed up for a service contract with Indoor Air Quality Medics, and I have been very pleased with the results. The front office staff and the technicians have all been professional, courteous and responsive, and their service rates are competitive. They have now done our spring and fall HVAC maintenance for 2017. I was particularly impressed with the service that Brandon gave us this month; he was punctual, professional and efficient, and he gave me good information about the current status of our system and our options for getting the most out of it over the next few years. I always do independent research on the advice I get from service providers, and I know that IAQ Medics have our best interests as a priority. I strongly recommend them.

Great! They did an awesome job.

The install took a little longer than expected due to faulty units from the factory. IAQ alerted me to the fact that units weren't in top notch quality and did everything in their manner to make it right. They kept me up to date and ensured that I had a top notch installed unit running when they finished.

The crew of Chris and Cameron spent a whole day installing the unit. They were professional and courteous, leaving me with a brand new unit and no mess whatsoever. They were not rushed, and took the time to answer any questions on the unit, and then demonstrated how to operate the thermostat. I am extremely happy with the equipment I purchased, the price I received, and had full confidence that both the quote and the work was well-explained beforehand and no "surprises" to overcome. I would purchase from them again if I had to, and will continue to utilize their maintenance service to keep the unit working as it is supposed to.

It's fine as far as I can tell. I have no reason to say anything but A. It's the kind of thing I just have to assume they did what they say they did. I can't really see in the ducts. Since it was a special it was a good price, that wouldn't be true if it wasn't a deal. As far as I know they did everything they said they would do, it's an A. Yes, at the deal price, I would use the provider again.
