The service was great and very fast.

It was Christmas Eve and our furnace was not working. We called Brennan's Heating & Air Conditioning and they came in and they couldn’t fix it up. It took a week for them to fix it up. Actually it wasn’t their problem but the part which was not working was not available locally and they had to get it from somewhere else. Finally the owner ended up arranging a hotel for us because it was cold. We didn’t accept the offer and they gave us the part for free and compensating us in something or the other because of the situation. My granddaughters couldn’t come to our house for Christmas and we packed up everything and moved on Christmas Eve. It was because of the holiday that they were not able to resolve the issue for a week but they were responsive. The problem happened because of the installation of our system. The system allowed water to leak from the humidifier down to the burner area and it destroyed out the electronics of the gas furnace. They were responsive and they did the best they could. They kept in touch with us. We still are in good terms with them. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Kali was a great sales guy and gave me terrific information on the scope of the job and the requirements of the job when he came out to give the estimate. He sat with me and went through all of the equipment and pricing options. When I learned that replacing the refrigerant line might require drilling through the brick in a historically-designated HOA, he arranged to come back out with an expert to examine the possibilities. After getting other estimates, Brennan's was the lowest in cost by far. I confirmed that I wanted the work done over a month after he provided the estimate, but Brennan's still honored the estimate provided. The office gave me all of the information for state and Carrier rebates and registering and helped me apply for the 12 months same as cash payment option. They arranged for the job to be done in two days. They courteously called each morning that the work was being done to let me know that they were on their way. When the two employees saw the scope of the project, Brennan's quickly dispatched other resources to help with the dismantling of the old equipment and duct work and the installation of the new equipment. The second day was dedicated to building the new duc twork complete with mounting to the attic ceiling with brackets and fully insulating all of the duc twork. When I asked to replace all of the registers, they provided an estimate for the additional work and had someone bring out the additional hardware. They skillfully ran the new refrigerant line out of the exterior molding and along the gutter to hide it. They worked extremely hard to run all of the new duc twork without breaking through the drywall. I am extremely satisfied with the product.

We needed our furnace and heat pump replaced and Brennan's was one of 4 estimates that we received. While they weren't the cheapest (they were the 2nd most expensive), they were the most professional of them all. We learned from all of the companies that came out that we should replace the hot water heater as well. We decided to replace it but did not go with the only unit that Brennan's offered because of the very high price they quoted for purchase and install of the heater. However, regarding the installation of the furnace and heat pump, they provided excellent service. They arrived on time for the work and completed their work on time as well. The office staff was helpful as well. They helped us arrange financing, which was really nice. Our electric bills have dropped by half since the installation of the new units and we are very pleased with them.

They also fixed a couple of things that needed to be fixed. Our interaction with them went well. It was fine. We paid $150 for the yearly service. They did $200 worth of extra work. They came and checked the heating in the fall and air conditioning unit in the spring. They were honest and trustworthy. We would use them again in the future.

We received an estimate from this company along w/ 2 others. The price was lower than one, and a bit higher than the other. The equipment used was a good name brand with high consumer ratings. They were able to install the system quickly and were very workmanlike. No mess was left and the system has operated perfectly since. The only reason a "B" was given for price was that they missed a rusty condenser unit which had to be replaced and added to the final bill. All in all a great experience and a company we would not hesitate to contact again.

I couldn?t get anyone to come out here. They came in 24 hours. A bunch of ants had died on the connection. He cleaned that out and it worked. He didn?t try to sell anything. It was awesome. I have a contract with them and they come twice a year. They are courteous and professional. They came when they said they were going to come. They called me to tell that they were on the way. He saved my life on a hot summer day. Even my husband liked them very much, though he doesn't like anyone.

My A/C had died a couple times over the summer - I was able to turn it off, thaw out the system and restart it, but not this particular time. Brennan's was able to come over right away, at my convenience. I received the bad news that my entire system should be replaced;however, the technician did offer to refill the condensor and get it up and running to allow me time to do more research and keep the house cool. I had already done the research and asked the tech for an estimate. The price seemed a bit high, but also I did get a top of the line A/C system. I was provided details on other systems and the energy tax credit. I went with the system I had originally wanted and the best part is that Brennan's was able to schedule the install very quickly. The tech also refilled my dying system so I wouldn't be without A/C while waiting for my new system to be installed. The install team arrived promptly and set to work right away. I was working at home that day and felt they were very considerate about noise, etc. They finished in good time and walked me through all the various parts of my new system and fancy thermostat. They cleaned up everything, including the back yard for the A/C unit install. I thought overall this was relatively painless, and I very much appreciated the information provided to me and the quality of the work. The Fairfax County inspection proved a non-event as everything had been installed properly. I had a couple of follow up calls with the company and found them to be responsive and polite. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to hire them again.

NO NEED TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I already had 2 estimates before I went to Brennan's and a lot of "web information". Of course I did not let them know that. They came in and I told them that I had another company had come in the previous month (Because my system shut down but we were able to get it started by letting it defrost and flipping the fuse) and that company determened we needed about $500 worth of service/parts. And not a month later the system went down again, but we could not get it started. When the Brennan's technican came in he said he would never have serviced a unit as old as mine, that it was just a waste of money. I had done my homework this time so I knew our system lasted 3 years past the average. The other two companies I had come in said the same thing. That is when Brennan's rolled up their sleves and let me know my options. I was not an easy customer because I had already been taken by another company. They laid out the options on equipment, prices, availability... The tech was very clear about all my choices, turns out there are a lot of things to review before you replace a system. I already had an idea about the system I wanted but had Brennan's run several quotes on different systems. They informed me of all the rebates and tax right offs. And they gave me the best price. Bottom line Brennan's had the best customer service (including the finance, VP and other office employees), the best price and got in and out in a day. I have never had anything go more smoothly

They were great. It was a good deal in terms of all what they did. I liked their honesty and dependability. They were very good. Their price was fair and they had a lot of expertise. It was a real good experience.

Technician arrived early (I wanted the first appointment to get to work on time, so this was a good thing). Very courteous and professional. Identified the repair needed and had the part on hand. Only complaint is the hard sell on a service contract, and the fee was a bit high.

From start to finish Mike did a great job. He met me on time. He walked me through the process and had great suggestions. The crew was on time and very professional. Everything was as described and completed on time and as quoted..

My experience was outstanding. From the initial contract with the company to the technican's performance of the service. The issue and costs were explained in advance and service performed without complaint.

My furnace went out on Friday. I called Friday and estimator came over to the house that afternoon. They were able to install new furnace, media filter and programmable thermostat 2 days later. They were absolutely great to deal with from consultation on the phone to installers who were nice courteouas and clean. I would recommend Brennan to others. I called approximately 10 different companies and received a wide range of cost estimates.

Mike, the VP, was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. He left me with a feeling of confidence about the quality of the equipment I would be receiving, about the company and about the work it could perform. I ultimately did not select this company because the price wasn't as good as a competitor's for exactly the same equipment, but price was the only discriminator. I would have no reservations recommending Brennan, even though I have not yet done business with them.

At the tail end of last winter our furnace began blowing cold air. We were able to "make do" for the rest of the winter. In the spring, I found a HVAC provider found on craigslist who gave me an estimate/diagnosis. He told us that he was unable to make any repairs and that we needed a new furnance. I've learned in life...if the thing you are considering is expensive or involves your health, always get a second opinion. So, as it started to get cold we found Brennan's off of Angie's List. The service person was timely, respectful and careful not to track dirt into the house. He was a professional with a pleasing personality. He explained everything, and most importantly fixed the darn thing. It's been over a month, and the furnance is warming up the house well. The ease of the process, and getting the job done well and right is really the way it is suppose to be, but rarely does that happen these days. I highly recommend Brennans. Our service technician was wonderful. My only gripe is that this company charges a diagnostic charge ($94) which is not deducted from the repair bill.

Brennan's responded immediately and was able to schedule a time window for the technician to come out within 24 hours. They were clear and up front about the diagnostic charge ($90) and that the technician would then provide pricing on any repairs before proceeding. The technician arrived early in the time window and listened very carefully to my explanation of the issues, and treated me as a knowledgeable homeowner by stepping me through his process of diagnosing the system, showing me everything he was doing along the way which I found to be a value-add and quite informative. It turns out we were a pound low on refrigerant, so he added that. He suggested that we check again in the spring to ensure there was not a system leak that led to the low refrigerant, so I signed up for service contract to have them come out again in the spring. He also honored the 10% coupon for having found them on Angie's List. Overall the process took less than an hour, and we once again have ice-cold AC that doesn't freeze up and require manual defrosting.

This was a pretty big job. We bought this house a year ago: the previous A/C system (installed at least 20 years ago, we're guessing) wasn't done properly, resulting in poor airflow to some parts of the house and some mold in the ductwork (which the Brennan guys found when we called them for an inspection). They installed a new Carrier A/C unit (indoor and outdoor pieces, plus thermostat) and replaced most of the ductwork in our home. Job was completed on-time for the price quoted, and the new system seems to be working well. We ran into one hitch a week later, when the moisture sensor in the water-trap pan under the AC went off: I called them on a Saturday night, and they sent someone Sunday morning who was able to fix it with a minor adjustment (our A/C unit is in the attic, and the issue was caused by a few drops of water "sweating" from the unit landing right next to the moisture sensor). Of course, the return trip was covered by the warranty, but it was nice to see them respond so quickly.

Responded within an hour of my call. Gari Darr, NATE Certified Technician, was friendly, profesional and careful about my home. Immediately found the cause of the frozen air handler to be a clogged filter that should have been removed during installation of unit 9 years ago. Within minutes had icey air. Reasonable service call charge of $84. Highly recommend Gari Darr and Brennan.

The office called before the technicians showed up to confirm arrival. Technicians were on time, professional and well prepared. Work was performed quickly and as described in the contract. Outstanding experience. I recommend Brennans without reservation.

I initially called because my AC was not working. In trying to schedule an appointment they agreed to come 20 minutes after I called. The tech Gery was great. He identified a leak in my 10 year old system. He couldn?t do the work because my son had frozen everything trying to cool the house. In talking about my options, I decided to replace my unit. It was 10 years old with a Freon leak, my upper level was never cool (I have a 3 story townhome) and my electric bill in the summer was outrageous. The replacement qualified for the $1500 tax credit, Carrier gave a $1000 cash rebate which I got back in 2 weeks and there's reasonable financing. Gery came back hours later after the pipes had thawed and put in lots of refrigerant. When I got back home that night my house was cool. His work kept us cool for a week. They didn?t charge for the work which would have been several hundred dollars. I just paid for the service call of $84. The next week the HVAC replacement was done. Two gentlemen came and did meticulous work. The county inspector said the work was done well and very neat. It passed inspection without any problems. The staff at Brennan?s are very nice and willing to please. They will help with your paperwork for the rebate and answer any questions. It was a very good experience. My house is cool and I have much better control of my environment and my energy consumption.

Our Heat Pump stopped working on a very hot Friday in July. I called several AC company's that evening. Brennan was the first company to call me back Saturday morning. We scheduled an appointment for first thing Monday morning. The Technician arrived 10 minutes early and diagnosed the problem as a leaking condenser. We had problems with this system in previous years, so we knew it was on it's way out (12+ years old). After reviewing the cost of repairing the exisiting system, we decided to scrap the old and install a new Heat Pump. The technician clearly explained our options and the costs. We decided to go with the Carrier Infinity. This included a $450 rebate, and qualified for the tax credit. The installation was scheduled for Wednesday morning. Again the technicians arrived early. They immediately went to work, explained what they were doing, were quiet & courteous, and got the job done quickly. By 1PM we had our new Heat Pump installed and AC upstairs. One of the best experiences with a service provider we have ever had. One thing I to note about the Carrier Infinity heat pump, the outside unit is large. Very large. It was double the size of the old unit. Not a big deal for us since it's concealed by landscaping, but if yours is out in the open, or in a tight space, you'll want to make sure it will fit.

Fixed our A/C! Called at 5:30pm on a Saturday and I was afraid no one would be available until Monday...did not want to go without AC in 90+ degrees. Though their hours said they closed early on Sat., their after hours emergency line answered right away and they were at our house 30 minutes later!!!! They found the cause of our problem and it was fixed right away!!! House is nice and cool! This was my first time using Angie's List and I am very pleased! Thank God for this service!!!!!!!!

From the salesman the office manager and the techs I was empressed. They came out on time, put a tarp down in the house so the floor wouldn't get dirty.Worked on one of the hottest days of the year and were still polite and patient with any questions & explaned everything. They worked non stop 8 hours and had the old units removed and hauled away in the 1st hour! We love the new units and can tell there excellent quality and very quiet. The techs were both american that spoke english which was wonderful! Very good experience. Without a doubt I recommend them!!

My A/C quit on the hottest day of the year (thus far!). I placed an emergency call to the company I have used for 8 years (United Air Temp). They didn't call me back for more than an hour, and when they learned that I had not renewed my service contract, told me that I was basically on the bottom of their list--understandable, I guess, but not what I wanted to hear with the temperature at over 100 degrees. I then looked through Angie's List, and based on the reviews, placed an emergency call to Brennan. I was pleasantly surprised that the phone was answered by a live person. After leaving my info, I received a call about 15 minutes later from the repairman, who asked me about my problem, told me he would come to my house that afternoon, and "warned" me that the charges would be overtime because it was a Saturday. He told me how much it would cost just for him to show up, which I appreciated, and he ALSO reminded me that since I had used Angie's List, I could print a coupon for 10% off the charges. He arrived a couple of hours later, hot and sweaty, poor guy, from the previous customer, and immediately set to work on my unit. He told me what was wrong, how much it would cost him to fix it, and what to expect. The repair took less than 30 minutes! The repairman was very professional and friendly, and he apologized several times for the overtime charges--I got the feeling he'd probably had an earful about that all day long, LOL. I was very happy overall with the service I received, with one caveat: I had to pay by check. The repairman said he didn't have any credit card slips, so I felt that I didn't have a choice--in retrospect, I'm sure I did ... it just didn't FEEL like I did, at the time, partly because my brain was set to "emergency." But that is my only quibble. I will definitely call Brennan's again.
