Very professional and talented employees, very professional results. Excellent communication and follow-up. On top of that, the job was accomplished under the bid amount, and was completed faster than scheduled. Thank you 58 Foundation!!

Great. What I thought was a leak was the foundation repair fluid that has swapped out on the first day and hardened.

The estimate they gave was very thorough, efficient, and the least expensive one we received. They showed up when they said they would and were very professional. Darlene, the scheduler, is a bit of a pill and somewhat hard to get a hold of, but the actual work they do is great. I would hire again.

"Kent" came, inspected the problem and informed us that this was more an issue for a landscaper than for his company. However, he spent a great deal of time talking with us about the problem even though he was not going to get any business from it, and was very knowledgeable and professional. It was a pleasure and if I ever do have true foundation problems and would be inclined to retain him.

My estimate was 1/24 with Sam Draper. First, he arrived late and did not call. I had to call him to get a status update. He arrived almost 30 minutes late. Mr, Draper is a very congenial guy. We established a great rapport. However, that is where it all ends. He looked outside at the chimney and told me that for the cracks in the chimney he could fix those himself for $150 with an epoxy type caulk called OSI. He said he could do that even though he wasn’t a licensed contractor. Additionally, although he took pictures and measurements, he didn’t write anything down. In the end, his findings was that “I should wait and see”, perhaps my problems can be fixed with additional joists/beams. He said he would follow up with his findings on letterhead; I’m still waiting. I was a pleased previous B Dry customer (which is why I went back), but needless to say times have changed and I won’t be using or recommending B Dry any longer. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

They could have easily talked me into thousands of dollars installing a sump-pump. Instead, he recommended diverting the down spouts farther from the house, which solved the problem.

The repair ultimately went well. The technician was efficient, knowledgable, and explained what he was doing very clearly. It appears that the repair has solved the problem. However, after the initial estimate was made and a down payment was made, I had difficulty contacting the scheduler to schedule the repair. Several calls went unreturned over a two week period. Ultimately I contacted the manager who got the scheduler to contact me and schedule the repair.

If you can get someone to call you back you're doing well! We've left over six messages and even sent another message through Angie's List. We have problems with the work they did three years and need a repair. The one time we finally were able to reach a human, she transferred us right back out of the phone system to a dial tone. What type of business is this that you have to work at giving them your money? I'm going to look for a competitor. I'm done!

B-dry did significant work in February 2000. After more than 10 years of excellent service and follow-up, with Bruce and B-dry in general, it is with dismay that I write this report related to current situation. On May 2, 2018, I spoke with Darlene regarding basement water leakage in the same area as previously repaired by B-dry (the original work as well as follow-up repair in 2012). On May 9 a pleasant young man arrived, he did not seem to be nearly the level of experience as the previous technicians. I showed him the wet areas. he said that it appeared that some of the work previously done had come loose and that he could fix "really quick". Within less than 10 minutes he told me he was done! I said I had to see the work first and noted that I was disappointed that this quick fix was caulking? over the 2012 repair work. In fact it didn't look professional and rather an eyesore. I was not at all convinced that this blob of caulking would resolve my problem. He said that this was the best he knew and would mention that I would like someone else to inspect. I waited at least a week and received no follow-up call from B-dry. On May 16th I followed up with a call a man answered. I told him the situation. I was advised that he would have Darlene call me to schedule another appointment. No follow-up. On approximately May 30th I called again and very vocally expressed my displeasure with this sudden lack of service or follow-up. The gentleman who responded sounded very sincere and told me that he would have the general manager call me and ensure that someone else was scheduled with a priority. Meanwhile there were significant rains, significant water flowed through the same area, plus the wall to other areas throughout the basement. This caused the necessity to remove my basement carpet and numerous moppings. On June 5th, I called and asked to speak directly to Mr. Whiting (listed as Angie's POC). The man who answered said with confidence, "Of course I'll transfer you right over there." A recording answered. On the voice recorder, I briefly expressed my numerous calls and frustrations and said that I was about to reluctantly address a review on Angie's List but wished to give them one more chance to follow up. There has still been no call back or follow-up. The situation is ongoing nearly 1 month now, In view of the original work, I would still prefer to hear from B-dry as long as they can send a professional. My confidence has severely waned. Sad. I have photos and videos available showing the water flow.

The job was completed as asked. The quality of their work has always been good. I've been using them for more than 15 years and I wouldn't use anyone else. Before this job they'd installed a sump pump and French drain along two walls of my basement, and another sump pump and French drain in my garage. Whenever one of their systems has had problems, they came back and fixed it for little or no cost (depending on the issue). I think basement waterpoofing is inherently difficult, and sometimes things don't always work as intended... Eventually we got leakage around an old basement door despite a drain they installed at the base of the door to channel water into the French drain. Years later they came back and added cement to correct the problem at no charge. When there was a question over specs on the garage system, they gave me the benefit of the doubt. I guess if the leaks are due to poor design I wouldn't know, but I think it's just the nature of water and my basement. Their work on this particular project was fine. They seem to have resolved the seepage issue I was having through the cinder block. During the work, they sealed off the area with plastic tarp to prevent dust from getting outside the area, though you should supervise that part of the operation since ultimately it's your house, not theirs. The cost seemed reasonable. The only issue I have is with their responsiveness regarding future projects. I almost gave them a "B" because of that. Each time I want to get new work done, it's arduous to get an estimate. Once they said someone would get back to me and didn't. I had to keep calling. Another time I had an appointment with their estimator but he got the date wrong (I only found out because he called ahead of time to cancel the appointment). On another project, the estimator didn't show up all day, and when I called, he said he'd forgotten. He sent another estimator ASAP, and I appreciate the honesty, but still it's an issue. James is their local estimator and manager. When an out-of-town estimator came in, there was no problem at all. But I've never found them to be unresponsive when it came to urgent problems. (They're the opposite of Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing, which is very pushy on the sales end and costs more).

I've given a rating of Fair overall.... it would be a 1 for Customer Service and a 5 for Quality of Work. James Whiting, out of the Woodbridge, VA office needs training to correct his unprofessional behavior towards customers. Because I was late on returning his phone call regarding payment he got belligerent. He ACTUALLY called my wife and told her he would put a lien on the house. Keep in mind, they completed work LAST Wednesday and today is Monday (last week was a holiday week)... It's a shame this tool ruined the experience for us.

Had a horrible experience with this company. We found out that our project was done incorrectly when our pipes starting freezing and mice started coming into the big gap in the wall they failed to close. Had to hire another company to repair. I refused to pay some of the amount due to these failures (admitted to by B-Dry Waterproofing) until they fixed the problem. They refused and sent my bill to a collection agency. I fought it all the way and they finally had to reduce their bill. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

The work went well, done at the date and time promised. It works and no leaks, even with all the rain we have had. However, they had to make two holes in the outside wall (the first was a bad estimate of location). But the crew was in a hurry to leave. I had to insist that they test the system by filling the sump with water (this was promised in writing on the project document. And they really left a lot of dust and gravel for me to clean up. It took me a good half-hour to do the sweeping and vacuuming. I would hire again but I would not let them leave until the job was done.

It was pretty seamless. The fella came out and gave me a price. Their price beat every other bid I'd gotten. I signed the contract that they e-mailed over to me, sent it back, and got a call within a few days to schedule the work. They came out 3 days later. The project foreman introduced himself to my wife (I wasn't home), gave her a project walk through sheet, a business card, and got to work. By the time I got home at 1pm they were well on their way to finished. I think my only complaint is that the basement was pretty filthy when they left. I mean they tarped everywhere, floors, over my HVAC and Washer/Dryer... and the concrete that was left behind had to dry, which is probably why they couldn't clean beyond a certain point... but getting up all the left behind dust, rock bits etc was a pain in the ***. That is just me being whiney though (as I just finished cleaning it), because the guys worked their ***** off, and they cleaned reasonably well. As far as the price goes, keep in mind that this was a single, unfinished wall of a townhouse basement.

He was here for hours. He said I did not need to worry about it since I have clay around my foundation. He told me the clay has settled to such a degree that the moisture from the rain cannot penetrate the soil.

Only calls during one time during the day. Does not pick up return phone calls. Does not call back in reasonable time frames. "Unresponsive" is not enough to describe their service.

Very well. The technician was very knowledgeable and took us through the basement and pointed out problem areas, as well as going through the outside of the house to identify how to resolve our issues. Appreciated the "no pressure" stance that he took when showing us what needed to be done. Whenever we need to actually get service done in the basement, they will be the first ones we will call.

We purchased the $99 Inspection +$500 credit toward future work Big Deal. Mr. Voigt was prompt and courteous. I could tell he had an eye for detail immediately as he started pointing out details around my foundation where previous contractors could have done a cleaner job. He looked in my crawl space and confidently explained that some troubling cracks I had spotted were in-fact normal and benign. He was happy to talk about best practices for a DIY approach, and what he would recommend if we decided to use their services. Not sure if we'll use the credit, but $99 was a good deal for the peace of mind to not have to work about the cracks and go forward with some other projects.
